《Yu-Gi-Oh Zexal (male reader)》Awakening

Everything is still quite, nothing but the black void. No sound, no smell, the feeling of either warm or cold, nothing. Was this what it's like to be dead, did I die?
No wait I hear something now.
"Is he going to be alright doctor?"- ???
"I'm not too sure. After running some tests he seems to be fine both mentally and physically."- doctor
Wait am I in the hospital? Was I in an accident or something? Slowly my other senses start to come back. I started to smell again, the faint smell of disinfect. The sounds of people talking beeping, I also felt that I was out of bed. My eyes started to open and all I saw was a white ceiling.
"Oh your awake. How do you feel?"- doctor
"M-my head. What's....where am I?"- ???
"Your in my hospital. Do you remember what happened to you?"- doctor
"Yes, I...wait...what? Who am I again?"- ???
"Oh my. Nurse please go find the person who brought him here."- doctor
"Yes, doctor."- nurse
'Well isn't this a little particular.'- ???
"I'm sorry?"- ???
"What?"- doctor
"Didn't you say something?"- ???
"No, I was just thinking about what we're going to do."- doctor
'Wait can you hear me?'- ???
I started to look around the room to see who else it could be. I didn't see anyone just me and the nice doctor, that was until my eyes landed on a stack of cards laying on the counter. I reached out to grab it and picked it up so I can get a better look at it. The first thing I saw seemed kinda familiar, but where exactly have I seen it before?
"Oh yeah, you had that on you when we brought you in. Are you a duelist perhaps?"- doctor

'A duelist? Ah!!'- ???
My head! What's going on? I'm starting to see flashes of something strange.
"Are you alright!?"- doctor
"What's happening to me!?"- ???
'Seems like you'll need a little nap.'- ???
I started to feel myself dozed back off it's asleep, but for some reason the second my eyes closed they opened back up again and I was in a different room.
Where the heck is this?
"Oh my I have to say I like this place."- ???
"Yo."- ???
"What in the. Who or what are you?"- ???
"You mean you don't remember? I guess we'll have to be reintroduced. My name is number 96 and unfortunately for for you I'm your partner."- 96
"Partner?"- (y/n)
"Go take a look in that mirror tell me what you see."- 96
Doing as he said I walked over to the mirror and took a look at myself.
Is this me? From the looks of it I look like I'm a teenager or at least a pre teen. Upon further inspection I saw something hanging from my neck.
"What is."- (y/n)
"That would be the thing that's keeping me sealed in here. But if I must be honest I don't actually mind. I can think of worse hell holes to be in, this on the other hand is pretty cozy."- 96
"What is it that you want?"- (y/n)
"It's quite simple really. All I want is power, enough power to prove that I the strongest thing to be feared. And the only way I can achieve that go is if you help me collect numbers."- 96
"Numbers? You mean like you?"- (y/n)
"Not exactly like me, but yes. And in return I'll help you remember who you are. What do you say?"- 96

96 took his hand out to me and gestured for me to shake it. I don't know what I'm supposed to do, it's true that I have no memory of who I am. And for some reason I'm getting a strange feeling as she trust him, but then again my need to know more about myself to go over. So without a second thought I shook his hand and he just smiled.
"Perfect, now the first thing we need to do is get out of this place. And by this place I'm in the hospital. So when you wake up try and find a way to sneak out."- 96
Okay I've finally woken up so now it's time for me to try and get out of here. I looked at the window and saw was dark outside meaning it must be night time. I started to get up from my bed and head to the door, but not before I saw 96 show up.
"All right then partner you ready to escape?"- 96
"It's going to be kind of hard for me to escape considering there's a big ghost following me."- (y/n)
"Do not worry about that. You seen not just anyone can see me. Only other people with numbers can so, with that being said. I'll be sure to watch your back you know just in case someone tries to sneak up on you."- 96
Sounds alright to me so I was about to leave until I realized I almost forgot my deck. So I went back and got it, but for some reason number 96 wasn't at the bottom of the deck like he was last time it was a blank card. It didn't have a picture, name, nothing it was strange. Pushing that aside I went back to the physical number 96 and left the room. The hallway is nice and dark so I have to do exactly what 96 says.
"Hey, someones coming hide."- 96
"Where?"- (y/n)
"I don't know how about a room."- 96
Smart ass, but he's not wrong so I looked around and saw a door not that far. Wasting no time I hurried into the room and shut the door. The lights are on so I guess this room must be occupied, I turned around to if anyone saw me. Luckily they didn't because there was only one person in here. It was a female, she has pale skin and dark blue hair with light blue bangs, she also have bandages over her eyes.
'Who is she? Now's not the time to worry about that.'- (y/n)
"Darkness."- ???
'Is she awake?'- (y/n)
"I sense a great darkness. Who's there?"- ???
I didn't want my presence to be known so I just stayed quiet, but I saw her reach her hand out so I went ahead and grabbed it.
"It's okay ma'am. Just go back to sleep I'm a doctor."- (y/n)
"No, no your not. Who are you?"- ???
"Hey!"- 96
"Huh?"- (y/n)
"If you're done flirting the nurses are gone so we should get moving."- 96
"Right."- (y/n)
"Wait where are you going?"- Rio
That's a good question, where AM I going? Can I really trust this guy? Can I really survive on my own. All these questions are hurting my head, it's so frustrating.
"I don't know, but I know it's not here."- (y/n)
Without another word I left the room and started to leave again.

A Spirit Vein's Guide to Immortality
TL;DR Synopsis: Man dies from falling banana, gets interrogated but answers vaguely, suffers consequences Actual synopsis: Spirit veins. Many consider them to be the pillar on which the world of cultivation is built. These things served as the foundation for the first few realms that would allow humanity to achieve its everlasting dream of immortality. However, in the present age, these pockets of condensed energy only exist to be under the foundations of massive organizations, fostering a new generation of fighters while passively radiating the energy they contain. Nevertheless, spirit veins are still an important element in the world of cultivation, albeit much less so. With that in mind, have you ever considered what it would be like for someone to turn into a spirit vein? No? Well, Arthur never thought about it either. Going through the usual reincarnation schtick (if one could consider it usual), Arthur was eventually brought into a place where a god asked him where he would like to be reborn. Unsurprisingly, Arthur told the god his ideal rebirth. However, soon enough, he would come to realize that he should have been more specific with it. Now being reborn as the smallest spirit vein, or if you could even consider him a spirit vein, Arthur wondered what he could do other than wait for time to consume him…and that’s where the system came in. With it, he would experience multiple stories of hardships, adventure, romance, and action…all underground. Unless…? Do keep in mind that English is not my first language, so I would like to apologize in advance if there are any grammatical errors, typos, miscalculations and so on. In fact, I'd highly appreciate it if you tell me those mistakes. Also, this story focuses quite a lot on the gradual progression of the MC at the beginning, but in the long run, upgrading sprees would probably be more common. Thanks for reading this small note!
