《ʟᴏᴠᴇ ᴡᴀᴠᴇs》Final Chapter (pt.1)

Chika's head felt heavy. She tried to command her eyes to open, but they wouldn't obey. Her eyelids only lifted a little before coming down again. Seeing as it was helpless, she lifted her head up too abruptly, causing the weight to make it fall down again with a loud thump.
Thankfully, a pillow lessened the damage. She heard someone in the room gasp and suddenly felt someone standing by her side. A hand grasped hers, and just by that, she could tell it was her mother.
She tried to open her eyes again, but like before, it had no positive outcome. She tried to ask where she was, and her voice came out groggy.
"Don't worry about that now, just rest. You're okay, oh thank God." She felt her mom's hand squeeze hers, she squeezed back.
Chika nodded and was able to open her eyes for a moment. She was in a hospital room, the sight making her recall the events from earlier. But how long ago was that? Two days ago? An hour ago? She wasn't sure. At this point, she wasn't even sure if she was happy to be alive now, but her eyelids fell down again and the weakness in her body got the best of her. She was exhausted. She fell asleep again.
•••
Once again, Chika found herself on the hospital bed. Only this time, she could actually see what was around her. She could tell it was early in the morning, because a window was opened and she could feel the warm summer breeze coming through, accompanied by the sun light that filtered through the trees outside.
The girl's mom was nowhere to be seen, so she pressed a button next to the bed to call either a nurse or a doctor. She was honestly starving.

Almost immediately, a nurse showed up. "You're finally up." The woman smiled sweetly at Chika.
"Yeah. Um.. Where's my mom? And also, is breakfast over?"
"She was just here a minute ago. I believe she went to get something to eat for herself from the canteen. And lucky for you, there's still and hour before breakfast hour ends, I'l bring you something right away."
Chika thanked her and the nurse turned on her heels to leave, but got called out by Chika just a second before she could walk out the door. "Excuse me, but for how long have I been asleep?"
"Just three days dear, you're lucky to be back so soon. You got hit pretty bad in the head. Thankfully for you, it won't hurt if you take the medicine we give you."
Great, more medicine.
When the woman left, Chika turned on the TV and left it at some random channel. She watched the show playing on the screen, without actually paying attention to it. Then, she heard footsteps coming towards the room. She thought it might've been her mom, but it wasn't. It was her dear silver haired friend.
The girl had a bouquet of many different colored flowers, and she was looking down at the floor with a sad expression on her face. She looked up momentarily and her eyes widened at the sight of Chika sitting up and awake on the bed.
She dropped the flowers and eliminated the short distance between her and the other girl, throwing her arms around her friend.
Chika was a bit shocked at first to hug back, but eventually, she did. And as she so it, Chika felt You's warm tears stain her the hospital robe she had on.
"Y-you.. freaking idiot! You know what could've happened to you if I hadn't caught you in time?! You almost slipped away from me.."

"I do know what could've happened. In fact, maybe it would've been nice of you to drop me. What do you think the whole point of that was?"
You broke apart the hug and looked at her with wide blue eyes and tears stained cheeks. She almost slapped Chika, and the other could see it in her face, so she hurried to say "I'm only kidding. Maybe."
"Why would you do that? Just.. why?"
Chika laughed, but there was no humor behind it. "Because I'm a coward and that was the easiest way out to. The easiest way to stop... this. I just got tired."
"Tired?" You could feel a mix of rage and sadness seething in her. "J-just because you feel tired or because you suffer doesn't mean you should leave! Suffering is part of life, but there's always happy times to come as well. Think of the beautiful things you could've missed, think of all the small things you loved and would never see again. Think of the people you'd be leaving behind.." her voice cracked. "Look, I suck at comforting people and expressing myself, words aren't my thing. But what I mean is that suicide isn't the answer.
Chika gave her a sad smile. "I'm sorry." She held You's hand and squeezed it tightly, intertwining their fingers. "But at least I'm here now."
And right then and there, You had the urge to kiss her. But she held back. In the end, there was something that surprised her. Rather someone, not something. kissed You. Chika kissed her. And it wasn't more than a playful peck, a peck that lasted only 5 seconds or less. But it was more than enough to make You's heart accelerate and make her cheeks turn a light shade of pink. "Thanks for the flowers, by the way." You just sat there, petrified, until Mrs.Takami came inside and hugged the life out of her daughter.

NOTE: A review on this fiction has indicated that certain themes were traumatizing. While I believe this to be exagerated, I have added the appropriate tag for those who may be sensitive to those themes (fever dreams, delusions, and trials and tribulations).

The Second Coming of Fate [A High Fantasy Story]
Prologue Arc: The Day That Begins Your Fate - COMPLETED Story Arc 1: Chaos in the Lamorian Kingdom - ONGOING Please consider following/leaving a rating. I plan to turn this into a long lasting series, and it would really mean a whole lot to me. :) ----- Having succumb to amnesia, Galvin one day appears in the Grand Forest east of the capital kingdom Lamora. For the next two months, he lives a perfectly carefree yet boring life until one fateful day changed everything. Encountering all sorts of characters and dealing with all sorts of shenanigans, Galvin begins to experience visions of what appears to be the future. With this newfound power in a world full of magic, yet plagued with war, discrimination, and brutality, will Galvin be able to change fate…or die trying? ----- Do you like stories where the protagonist doesn't start out strong and is deeply character driven (with a LOT of inner monologues)? A story that has its fair share of comedic and dark moments? Well then you've come to the right place! However, if you're looking for LitRPG mechanics, then unfortunately, this story doesn't contain too many of them. The dynamics of the story will be based on real life physics and mechanics (with a bit of magic of course!) Also, I delve deeply into a lot of disturbing topics, so readers do be warned. However, if any of this sounds interesting to you, then please come by and give my story a read. ----- Expect releases as soon as possible (which is like 4 - 10 days). Just know that I'm writing this story as it progresses, so a lot of first drafts are to be expected. :D

Obstinate Han
A power progression fantasy with a main character who trains constantly but who lacks purpose, direction, and motivation. The world he lives in, however, is not a peaceful one. As obstinate as Han can be, with all of humanity edging slowly towards annihilation, will he truly be able to avoid becoming entangled in the affairs of the deities fighting over his new universe? This story is a slow burn rather than a fast paced action/adventure, and is centered around the perspective of a main character who struggles with depression, apathy, anhedonia, and asociality. This world was doomed well before he arrived, and he knows it. Rather than following the traditional hero model, he just wants to train for its own sake, and to scrape out occasional moments of happiness in a ruined and dying world.
