"What are you doing here?!" Yells squints.
"Playing baseball" I respond, ignoring them and hitting another ball over the fence.
They are all still standing in shock.
"Go away! You're not allowed to be here!" Says ham.
"Why not?" I ask.
"You're a girl!" He says.
My mouth opens in shock. I frown. I walk over to him and I'm about to hit him with my bat but when I try to swing it, a force is stopping me. I turn around. Benny. He's holding onto the bat. I pull on the bat so that he will let go but he doesn't.
"Let go!" I yell.
"Calm down!" He says.
I let go of the bat. And go back over to ham.
"You know, I don't need a bat to beat the shit out of you"
"Y/n!" Benny yells. He wraps his hands around my body, making me unable to move. I try to get out of his grasp but he's too strong.
"Benny!" I hear a voice yell. Jordan. He bikes over.
"Uh oh" I laugh, winding up the boys.
"What are you doing with my sister?!" Jordan says.
"She was trying to attack ham!" He replies.
"Y/n, can you stay out of trouble for once in your life." Jordan says, annoyed.
"He said I can't play baseball because I'm a girl!"
He thinks for a moment.
"Listen y/n. There's no point in getting mad! You're better than all of them so there's no point in arguing." Jordan says.
"She's not better than Benny!" Says yeah-yeah.
I look over at Benny. He's already looking at me
"If you say so" I say, still looking at him.
I hop onto the back of Philips bike and we go home. When we get home, we both go into the kitchen.

"What the fuck just happened?" Jordan asks.
"Ham was being sexist and wasn't gonna let that slide." I respond.
"Let me know next time. You can't be having fights on your own against a big group of boys."
"Whatever." I say walking off. "By the way, one of your teammates were perving on me in the shop today."
"Wait what! Who?" He asks. I ignore him and go to my room.
I sit on the chair by my window. I decide to read a book. I'm a few pages through when I hear noises from outside. I look up and see Benny. He looks over and waves. I smile. I always wondered why Benny played with those boys. He so much nicer compared to them and he's better at baseball. He could easily get scouted if he played for a proper team.
"Dinner!" My mom yells. I stop thinking about Benny and go to the kitchen.

Horizon
Emiluna is about to turn 16 and gain access to her first two classes. Living in a small village in the middle of nowhere, she always wanted to become a Hunter. Having learned a bit under her parents, a miller and a seamstress, she was sure she could never pick a class that meant staying inside all day. But being a Hunter is more than just a class. It means providing meat for the village, culling small pests near the cultivated fields and most importantly guarding the village from predators and monsters. But Emiluna is not a normal girl and her destiny far bigger than she could have ever imagined.Join her as she finds out what awaits just behind the horizon.[Word from the author]I am looking to create a fantasy world that has some logic to it and stays believable even as characters gain power and progress in levels.Classes and level quantify the people's progress, but they do not artificially inflate their power to demi-god levels. I am primarily trying to write a captivating story, not "power-porn". That means it will be slower than the fast burning litRPG you might be used to, but it won't burn out that quickly either and I won't drop half of my plots at the wayside. I should mention that English is not my native language. I hope it is mostly unnoticeable, but sometimes I manage to slip some awkard sentence structure in there (German sometimes puts things together in reverse). It it also my first time writing an actual fantasy novel and the first time writing anything at length in English. Any constructive feedback is very welcome.Credit where credit is due: Cover picture by Paul Bica (Licensed under CC 2.0)Check out his amazing photos here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/dexxusYes, my cover picture is a photo, not a drawing. :D I might try my hand at some Paint-ification later to add the title.[participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge]

Trickster's Tale
Be careful when demanding reparations from gods. They rarely own up to their mistakes. Due to a goddess's shortsighted error, Perry finds himself transported to a distant Universe with new proportions and a different identity. Instead of cowering before the deity, he demands she opens a portal home or provides reparations for him and his bereaved family. Unfortunately, standing up for himself doesn't earn Perry respect. Instead, she curses him with cowardice, limiting his combat and magical potential. Little does the goddess know that nothing can stand in the way of Perry's sheer will. If brute strength and arcane might won't get him the justice he desires, wit and creativity will. Perry's first target? A goblin shaman. Then, the world. And so begins, the bard's ballad. Trickster's Tale (Book 1): Is That A Lute In Your Pocket will release on Kindle Unlimited on the 10th of May.Due to KU's exclusivity rules, I've had to take most of book 1 down.Book 1 Bard's Ballad takes place in the same extended Universe as my other story, The Houndsman. It's set on a distant 'disk', though. As a result, the magic system is unique in comparison and has a harder LitRPG system. While the story utilises stats, it doesn't take them seriously and occasionally makes fun of regular LitRPG mechanics.

Living a Long Life as a Legend
Reincarnating into a game-like version of a medieval magical world was fine and all. A good blend of two enjoyable tropes. Lock wished he'd been born with a bunch of cheats sometimes, sure, but he could settle with being functionally immortal by abusing the system as well.
