"Why don't you ever do as you're told y/n!" Yells my mother.
She leaves the kitchen. Jordan walks into the room. He goes over to the fridge and grabs a bottle of coke.
"What did you do now" he asks.
"I snuck out again" I respond.
He laughs.
"I'm not even surprised. Where'd you go this time?" He says, sitting on the counter. I lean on the wall opposite him.
"I went to cinema"
"What!? Why didn't you invite me?" He looks offended.
"You didn't ask to come." I say.
"That's because I didn't know?!"
"Well I'll let you know next time." I say
"No you will not because there won't be a next time!" Yells mom from the other room.
We laugh, quietly. I wink at him before walking off. He smiles. I grab my skateboard and my baseball cap then leave the house. It's quite early so all the boys from the sandlot are leaving there houses. I don't get along with them very much. I never did anything to them, but my brother did. I skate past them and as I pass Benny and ham, I take Benny's hat and quickly skate off.
"Y/n! What the hell! Give it back!" I can hear him yelling.
I look back and can see he's about to run after me but ham stops him.
"Leave it. We can get her back later." He says.
I skate to the sandlot and place his hat in the middle of the diamond. I leave the sandlot before they get there.
They all get there. Benny sees his hat on the floor. He runs over to it and picks it up.
"At least she bought it back" he says
I skate around town. I decide to go to Vincent's drugstore. I walk in and see a boy in a tigers jacket p. Ugh. I hate the boys my brother plays with. They are all perverts and don't know how to treat women. Jordan doesn't like me going near them because he knows they'll try make a move on me.

"Hey beautiful." The boys says.
"Go away" I say, walking away from him. He follows
"Me and you. Go on a date. Whatcha think." He says.
"I think you should piss off before my brother finds out." I smile at him.
He gives me an annoyed look and walks off. I buy a baseball, even though I have plenty at home. I pay for them and leave the shop. I skate to the grassy area by the pool. I get the ball and my bat out of my bag. I throw the ball up into the air and I hit it at a wall. Because I'm a girl , nobody plays with me. So I just practice on my own. I carry this on for a little while longer but them I notice the sandlot boys at the pool. This is my chance. I grab my stuff and skate to the sandlot. Finally I can play properly. Jordan does let me play on his diamond, but very rarely so I'm happy I have the chance to play on one now. There's a few baseballs lying around that they had left here, so I use those.
I practice hitting the ball and running around for a while. I throw the ball high in the air and hit it over the fence. As I do that, the boys all get back. They stand there for a moment in shock. Then they all walk over to me angry.

8 196The Girl with Scales and a Sword
This is the story of a girl who ends up with scales and a sword. Yup. There you have it folks. Slice of Life is the key intended genre. This is literally going to be a running commentary of a girls life, especially as it relates to adventure and action This is going to be a continuous work, as I intend it to be a side project while I work on other books more decidedly, and I intend to rework chapters often, because I want this both to be a break from other titles, and a learning experience. I'm going to be trying to get a lot of people to comment on chapters so I can grow as a writer. So if you want to read, please do! and comment if you feel generous. Just keep in mind, releases will likely be veeeeery far apart. (Note: I try to put out a chapter a month, though that doesn't always happen depending on school, work, and generally how well I'm doing, energy-wise)
8 220Deal With A Maid and A Bartender
Alicia is a nervous wreck. All of her friends are either going off to college, getting married, yes, you read that right, or living off their rich parents. She on the other hand doesn't know what to do with her life. College? Eh, maybe. Getting a job? That's her best bet, as her parents are not threatening her to move out, but expect her to by the end of the month. Parental care much? Time ticking and her parents not seeming to care, she walks into a Maid Cafe and Bar with the possible attempt to apply. The Bartender offers to hire her on the spot, under one condition. After every shift, she accompanies him home. With the thoughts of rape, murder, even some sick twisted love fantasy going through her mind, she accepts out of desperation, and perhaps, pure idiocy. Besides, she's gauranteed $2000 a paycheck. How bad could it be? All feedback is greatly appreciated. *This story may become 'Reader Interactive' hence the tag*
