Tina sat high above a dark mass of water, her face clueless while looking down at her memories. Two employees wearing white watched with smiles on their faces, enjoying killing innocent people.
Another employee grabbed onto Mercy and dragged her forward as more grabbed onto Newt. Mercy began to cry again, finally taking notice of what was actually going to happen. Mercy looked up to get one last look at Tina, her happiest memories turned to her darkest and loneliest as she began to finally struggle in her seat. The other woman walked over towards the edge of the stone and began speaking to Tina trying to convince her to stay above the water for a few more minutes.
'This won't hurt' the other woman smiled raising her wand towards Mercy's head as Newt yelled towards the lady
'Don't you have to wait for Tina?' Mercy asked
'That's the more reasonable choice but sadly that will take to long and Mr. Graves needs us back upstairs in ten minutes' she chuckled as Newt continued to yell
A pale blue light shot from the tip of the woman's wand, Mercy's mind went blank as she watched the woman shoot it up into the air above her head as a large rectangle formed and her mother appeared.
Her mother smiled down at her five year old self and engulfed her into a hug, she kissed the top of her forehead 'I'm so proud of you' she mumbled bringing Mercy inside to greet her father. He smiled at the two, taking Mercy from her mothers arms, he brought her upstairs and laid her into her crib as she fell asleep.
Now, she was eleven. Her brown hair pulled up into a bun just like her sisters, her mother rushed into the room and placed a letter in front of her. Mercy smiled 'is it an acceptance letter?' Her mother nodded holding onto her sisters hands as her father marched into the kitchen 'happy birthday!' He shouted sitting next to Mercy 'open your letter' Mercy smiled ripping open the letter and reading it from top to bottom. A large smile appeared on her face as she jumped up from the table 'I'm going to Hogwarts! I leave September first' she beamed as her mother and father engulfed her into a hug.
Her mind went blank as another memory flashed before her eyes. She was sat a table near the back of the room, fixing her glasses she took a sip of her tea. Looking across the room she spotted someone, the boy with the case. She smiled focusing her attention back onto the table as she picked out another book, this one was on Magical Creatures. She looked back at the boy to see him also looking at her, both their faces flushed with pick as they both averted their attention else where.

Her sister was dead, from a sickness Mercy didn't even know existed. She threw the telephone as she headed to class, she sat in front of the boy with the case. Everything blurred as Newt picked up a pin that her sister gave her, gently placing it her hand they both turned back towards the front until Newt introduced himself before Mercy ran out.
He stopped speaking to her, he met a new girl. She had him tied around her finger. Everything blurred again until it showed Mercy sitting alone on her bed speaking to some woman from her home town, her mother had died. She cried for days, not wanting to leave her bed. Her mother was dead and Newt was never going to speak to her again, she pretended it didn't hurt her.
Then something happened. Her worst memory kept repeating itself over and over again. Her mother dying, Newt leaving her. Everything she's ever loved being pulled away from her. Newt telling her he wanted an adventure she could never deliver, it just replayed over and over again.
Mercy screamed using all her force to push the woman away, Mercy was balling her eyes out as she collapsed onto the floor. Newt rushed over to her, 'we need to go' he said helping her up 'we need to leave, now!' He shouted helping her from the room as Tina rushed behind them.
'What happened?' Mercy coughed
'It's okay, it's not important' Newt said
'I'm so sorry'
'For what?' Mercy asked
'I saw your memories and how it kept replaying when I- I left'
'Oh, that's- thats nothing' Mercy mumbled 'don't worry about it, it's my fault'
'How is it-'
'Just drop it' Mercy said regaining her balance 'we need to find Jacob'
Running through the halls with Newt and Tina firing spells everywhere, Mercy ran behind checking every room seeing where Jacob could be. After searching the first hall of rooms Tina swore she heard her sisters voice and for the first time since Mercy had met Tina, she was finally correct. Jacob and Queenie came running down the hallway holding Newts case, he ran forward and gladly accepted his beloved case.
'Thank goodness your okay' Queenie said hugging her sister, she turned towards Newt and Mercy 'I'm glad you guys are okay too' she smiled 'now there are people everyone out there, all looking for you three'
'What are we supposed to do?' Tina asked
'We get in the case' Mercy said taking the case away from Newt and placing it open on the floor 'Newt, Tina and Jacob... get in' Mercy demanded getting in first hoping Queenie knew what to do after.

Everyone sat around the little office space, no one said a word. Mercy coughed 'I'm going to go see the other Bowtruckles' she stood up as she saw Pickett peak out of Newts coat 'I think he wants to go with you' Newt said gently handing the creature over to Mercy. She nodded placing the bowtruckle on her shoulder before rushing out towards Pickett's habitat.
Mercy smiled looking down at all the other bowtruckles as she placed Pickett with the rest, Pickett put up a fight, not wanting to leave Mercy's side.
'I'm not leaving you here, I'll be here the whole time' she chuckled as he climbed off her finger
'I wish you could talk' Mercy mumbled fiddling with her wand
'I feel like you'd give good advice'
Pickett looked up at her with a frown, making a weird noise he sat down and continued to look up at her.
'Are you wanting to hear me ramble?' She asked putting her wand back in her pocket
Pickett smiled with a nod,
'I didn't even know you could actually understand me'
Mercy could hear Newt and Tina's voice as they entered the habitat in front of Newts office space. Tina laughed but she quickly went quiet, Mercy frowned standing up as she placed Pickett back onto her shoulder and rushed towards the two. Tina was staring at Newt holding a dusty picture frame of Leta Lestrange 'who is she?' Tina asked as Mercy stepped forward to get a better look 'nobody' Newt frowned as he took notice of Mercy standing behind him.
'You kept a picture of her, after everything she's done to you?' Mercy asked
'Mercy, it's not a big deal' he said
'She got you expelled from school, she ruined your life! That's what you said when began talking to me again'
'She did but...' he paused
'Do you- do you still like her?'
Newt stared at Mercy with a blank look, Mercy knew the answer. After everything they've been through, after everything he's told her, he still had feelings for the woman who destroyed everything he wanted. Mercy frowned walking off back towards Pickett's nest, disappearing from Newts presence. She felt tears form around her eyes as she felt Pickett's tiny arms touch her neck, he was trying to give her a hug.
'Mercy, wait!' Newt called
Mercy stopped to face him, 'do you still have feelings for her?'
Newt looked around, refusing to meet Mercy's gaze.
'Why tell me you like me then? Why lead me on! You know what I've been through and you keep saying your sorry but your not!' Mercy yelled
'I-I' he began
'You let me finish!' Mercy screeched 'I'm sick of trying to fight for you, I'm sick of being your last resort'
'Your not my last resort!' He yelled
'I feel like I am! You need to understand how hard it was for me to speak to you in the beginning, I tried to hard to talk to you and when we finally talked I was so happy' she said 'you were the best thing that ever happened to me and I don't care how cheesy that sounds'
'I thought we were perfect for each other, we had everything in common and I was happy' she sobbed 'I thought you were happy to and then you met Leta'
'I was happy, You were my best friend!'
'Exactly! I your best friend and now what are we?'
Newt looked like he was going to break down, finally he was going to understand how Mercy felt all the time.
'I didn't know where we were after we got off the train from school, I thought you liked me back and then we meet a few months later and traveled Europe! Then here, in New York' Mercy sobbed again 'when you kissed me'
'I kissed you because I love you' he whispered
'No you don't, you can't love me if you still have feelings for another person' she shouted 'this whole thing was a mistake'
'No it wasn't!' Newt yelled stepping forward 'this was not a mistake, us meeting was not a big mistake, you falling for me wasn't ether!'
'No, your right' Mercy lowered her voice 'my biggest mistake was not falling for you... it was me thinking you had fallen for me too'
Mercy watched as several tears escaped Newts eyes, Mercy handed Pickett back to Newt as she marched off, leaving Newt alone with Pickett. She marched by Tina and into the entrance room, grabbing her trunk and bag she dragged it up towards the lip and knocked several times. Queenie opened it with a smile 'I think we're safe here' she said as Mercy rushed out wiping her eyes 'oh, I'm sorry' Queenie said getting a better look at Mercy 'he isn't as nice as he looks then'
Mercy shook her head as she heard Newt call after her 'thank you for your help, Queenie' Mercy mumbled leaving her flat. Slamming the door behind her, she was not ever planning to come back.
