Next Day

"And make sure to see that he eats all of it please Yerim. I've slipped his medicine in there" the woman says before allowing the young girl to leave the room, a tray of food in her hand which was probably for one of the prisoners here.

"So" the woman sighs before sitting across from me at her desk. "Y/n. My college Dr.Kim told me you wanted to speak with me about Jungkook. How can I help you?"

"First of all Thankyou for taking the time to meet with me Dr.Lee" I smile nervously at the woman. Not sure why but I'm nervous around her, she's beautiful, tall and a woman of power at this prison. I'm intimated.

"No need to thank me. When someone wishes to raise a concern about Jungkook I'm all ears. That boy has been my patient for over 3 years now. I care for his well being no matter what he did to get himself in this place."

"I'm glad to hear. You see I wanted to talk about these injections he's being given. I understand it's to calm his anger but yesterday someone injected him without reason before our session. I'm worried if it keeps happening then I won't be able to help him at all."

"I see." The woman begins to flip through some papers on her desk. "What time was it you went to see him Y/n?"

"Erm around 6:00am."

Grabbing one of the documents from the desk Dr.Lee scans the page with her finger before stopping. "Well it says here that the guard on duty last night was Park Jimin."

"Yes I spoke with him but he said no one came to the cell all night. Unless you're assuming it was him?"

"Oh no I'm not saying that. Jimin wouldn't have access to any of the drugs we use on Jungkook, they're for our more senior guards."

"Well then.." I pause confused for moment. "Who would have given him the drug? Jimin said he told the director about the incident, could it have been him?"

"Possibly."

"But that's not right."

She smiles with sympathy before interlocking her fingers together over the desk. "Y/n my dear. I understand and appreciate your concern for Jungkook. But I'm afraid you and I both aren't at a high enough place to question the directors decisions. What he says goes around this place and if he felt Jungkook was in need of the injection then he will make sure that happens."

"Are these drugs even safe though? I mean when I went to see him yesterday it was like he wasn't even there, like he didn't even know who I was."

"Y/n I can assure you 100% that the drugs we use on our patients here are perfectly safe, I make sure of it. Now I'm sorry to not be of much help but I have a number of patients I need to examine today—."

"Oh no please, you have helped me." I smile at the woman before getting up from my seat. She smiles back.

I leave the room and head to Jungkooks cell ready for our session, but when I get there I see that Jimin isn't, and he has the keys.

Crap i don't want to keep him waiting.

I make my way to the guards staff room and ask around, but not one of them can tell me where he is. I then head to the monitor room and luckily I find him sat at the desk. "Jimin" I call and make him jump.

"Crap Y/n you scared me" he smiles. "Do your feet just not make a sound or something? It's like you walk on clouds."

"Sorry. It's just I need your key to get into the cell and I'm worried Jungkook will get impatient waiting for me."

"Oh well I'm just about to check the monitors for his cell if you wanna have a look?"

"Sure but I'd really just prefer to get there—." My words come to a stop when Jimin switches on the monitor screen. There on the security camera was Jungkook, fucking that Yerim girl through the steal bars.

1 hour later

"You seem irritated." Jungkook smirks. He's currently sat on the floor with his legs crossed, his neck strapped with the leather collar chain. "What is it? Did you see something you didn't like on the monitor footage?"

"Who you screw behind bars doesn't concern me Jungkook. But it is something I think you should quit" I say before writing the date down in my notepad.

"Well isn't it a shame I don't give a fuck about what you say"

My eyes flick up to look at him. Not gonna lie his hurtful demeanour is starting to get to me. These past couple of days I've really grown to care for the boy, I want to see him get better, I want to know more about him and his past, his reason for killing those 4 people.

"How does being confined in this cell make you feel?"

"Is that therapist rule 101?"

"For the last time I'm a—."

"How does it feel walking down the hall and listening to all those men throw themselves at you?" He smirks at me before crawling on his hands and knees. "Does it make you blush the way I do?" He stops just as the collar tugs him back.

"You hear them?" I look at him surprised.

"Yes. Gotta say the things they'd do to you are pure vanilla compared to what I'd do"

"Why don't you come over and cross this line and I'll show you"

"Not after yesterday" I say before adjusting my self in my seat. "Now I've been doing some research into antipsychotic medicines and it's proven to help people with schizophrenia, but I feel therapy would be a better form of treatment. After all you've been locked up and pumped on drugs for the last 4 years, think it's time for a change don't you?"

"Aww aren't you just little miss peppy"

Moving past his joke I rip the page out of my notepad and slide it across to him. "I've made a list of ideas that I'm gonna propose to the director later today."

Jungkook takes the paper and begins scanning through it. "They'll never agree to any of these. I can't even shower without five guards watching me."

"It's worth a try. I'm also asking for your restraints to be taken away, straight jacket, chains, all of them. You're behind bars in a cell away from everyone else, I don't see why there needs to be any extra measures."

Jungkook continues to scan the list, I've written quite a lot but that's because there's so much that needs to be changed.

"Now." I click my pen and write down the words childhood on my notepad. "High school. Do you have any memories from that period of time?"

"No." The boy huffs before rolling to lie onto his back.

"Then try and remember."

"I'd rather not waste my time spilling poignant anecdotes. I'm making sure you'll be gone by the end of this week."

"Why do you want me gone so much?"

Kicking his leg out the boy pulls himself up smoothly before resting his hands on his knees. "Because my dear, I wish to forever be left alone. I don't want to mix with the other inmates at this shit hole, I don't want your help, I don't want treatment, I just want to be left alone and have no one try and fix me because there is . Left. To fix" he adds exaggeration to the last part.

He then gets up and heads towards his bed where a fresh t-shirt is lay out for him. He begins unbuttoning his pyjama shirt, exposing his back to me. I'm captivated from the site of his defined muscles tensing, his skin is so smooth I can't help but imagine how smoothly water must trickle down the indented lines. He's beautiful. Despite it disgusting me, it doesn't surprise me that those past women through themselves at him.

He stops before turning around to face me. "Will you tell the dense guard outside that I need a buttoned up shirt, and that I can't put on a t-shirt whilst this thing is still on" he says whilst tugging the chain attached to his neck.

"Would you rather wear the t-shirt?" I ask him.

"Yes. Buttoned up shirts with short sleeves are for little boys."

"Then why not ask for your chain to be removed so you can change?"

He laughs after I say that.

"What? Wouldn't they allow it for just a moment?"

"You humour me. They wouldn't allow me out of this thing even if I was blue and choking my last breath"

"Who usually unlocks it?" I ask. Jungkooks eyes widen when he sees me pull a set of keys out of my pocket. "The guard Jimin gave me a spare set in case I couldn't find him. Would one of these unlock your chain?"

"Yes the one with purple tape around it" he says, still dumbfounded at the site of the keys in my hand.

"Then allow me to do that for you"

APoV

"Oh come on" the boy lets out a laugh of sarcasm. "Don't insult your own intelligence girl. You'd seriously trust that I wouldn't escape the second I knocked you unconscious?"

"For you to trust me I have to trust you" Y/n says before standing up from her seat.

"So you're going to cross the line?" He raises a brow.

"Now whose the dense one?" The girl tuts.

Jungkook smiles when the girl pulls off the key from the ring, sliding it across to him on the floor before locking herself in on the other side of the bars.

"Not brave enough to tackle the lion yet are you?" He tuts before picking up the key.

"Well when he out smarts the lamb I'll think about it" she smiles back, a hint of cockiness in her tone of voice. It brings a weird sensation to Jungkooks stomach.

He uses the key to unlock the collar, a faint moan of relief escaping his mouth as he rotates his neck in a circular motion. He then gathers the shirt over his hands before stretching to pull it over his body, giving Y/n a spectacular glimpse of his abs.

The boy may not be allowed outside for exercise, but he still managed to keep himself in shape. Working out was a stress reliever for him, almost like a form of meditation.

Slowly. And gradually. I will make him want me around. I just need to chip away at that ice cold armour, earn his trust, show him not everyone is wanting him just to get into his pants.

I wait nervously on my side of the bars. And I'm hit with a wave of relief when he palaces the collar back around his neck, doing a cute little twiddle with the keys before sliding them back across to me.

I enter back into the cell and take my seat, him now sitting on his bed.

"Thankyou for co-operating" I smile, but he keeps his bored expression plastered to his face.

"People with schizophrenia tend to act without remembering their actions. Do you remember the people you killed?"

"Vaguely." He replies.

"Do you regret the murders?"

"Yes."

"But not for the reason you're hoping for"

"Then what is the reason?" I ask before clicking my pen ready to write.

"Because now they're rid of the torture. They feel nothing anymore. Where as I? Live a constant nightmare."

"Can you elaborate for me, please?"

"Just waking up hurts. Breathing hurts. Listening to people hurts. I wish I was the one dead. I wouldn't have to waste my time in here talking to you."

"Why do you feel talking to me is such a waste of time?"

"Because I can't be fixed. I am me. I'll always be the criminal to everyone."

"Every murderer has a reason for choosing their victims. What was yours?"

"I don't remember. All I know is I enjoyed killing them" his lips begin to curve into a sickly smirk. "And I'd do it again. I'd relive their deaths everyday just to feel a warmth of satisfaction."

"Were all your victims women Jungkook?"

"None of them were Y/n." He mimics me.

"It says you killed your head mistress?" I furrow my brows confused before flipping though his file.

"Well then your facts are wrong. It was my head master."

"He is nothing to anyone. A lost cause he will forever remain. Understood?"

"Your file also says you went to an all boys school. Is that false as well?"

"No it's correct. But that was after I turned 12 though. My first year was spent at a public school."

"Can you remember the name?"

"No."

"Can you remember the area?"

"No" he flashes me a fake smile. "Our session is done here. Leave before I make you."

"I was hoping to ask—."

"You know what's interesting about the type of metal they use on my chains? It's steal, and with steal, the more stress and damage it receives, the weaker it becomes"

"And with the right strength" he gathers the chain in his hand before flicking his head my way. "One tug can snap it like a child's bone."

"Stop speaking such vulgar metaphors" I frown at him. This whole sicko demeanour. It's an act. It has to be. Jungkook is a smart boy, I can tell his mind is intelligent and I know if he wanted me dead it would of happened by now. But there's a hint of innocence that lingers inside of him. No one else senses it but I do. I don't know why, but I know there was a reason for his killings, a reason that would justify him doing it.

"Get out, before I prove my theory to be true" he speaks with a cold and gritted voice, tugging the chain harder this time, the clashing echo piercing my ears and making me jump.

I leave. But not because of fear. Because I now have a task for the day.

Find out who Jungkooks head master was.
