"Please, at least let me eat a chicken finger before I die," I said.

The alarm came to a stop and Giovanni took the burnt chicken fingers out of the oven.

"I told you to watch them," Giovanni gnarled.

"Well I just heard horrible news," I spat. "And now you're gong to kill me."

I was too young to die. I still had a life ahead of me.

He looked at me. He was angry I almost burnt down his kitchen. That was not a good sign for me.

He came towards me. "I'm sure we can figure this out without killing anyone," I said. I tried to persuade him to not kill me.

"The one who is going to be killed is you," he said.

"Derrick are you hearing this?" I asked. "I can't believe you're going to let your favourite sister die."

"You're my only sister," Derrick said.

"You don't care either that I am going to die?" I asked. My lips were pouted and my eyes glass over with I shed tears. I couldn't believe these were my family.

"No, I care which is why I'll pay the debt on behalf of our father," he said.

I let out a breath in relief. "Thank you!"

"Only . . ."

"Of course, there's a catch, there's always a catch with you," I narrowed my eyes at him.

"You have to sleep in another room. I know I told you I'll share with you, but I'm kind of in a relationship," he said. His eyes held sorrow and pity.

"Well, where will I sleep then?" I asked.

"With me, princess," Giovanni smirked.

I looked at him. He just threatened to kill me. I looked at Derrick. I had to make sure they weren't playing a joke on me. I was not going to stay with Giovanni in the same room.

Especially with what happened last night. No way.

"I'll just sleep on the couch," I spat. "I'm definitely not going in your room again. I'm not even going to step foot in it."

"You are so stubborn," he said.

I ignored him.

"You're lucky you're brother is paying for you. In fact, I think it might be fair if you would pay for the debt," Giovanni said.

I blocked my ears, so I couldn't hear his annoying voice. I hummed as well so he can get a hint.

"Don't you think, Derrick?" Giovanni asked my brother.

"That should be fair," Derrick agreed.

"Wait, so you just turn on your sister just like that? What happened to loyalty?" I asked. I felt so abandoned.

"I knew you could hear me," Giovanni said. He looked bored.

"No, what I heard was utter betrayal. I can't believe you, Derrick," I told him. He would go against his sister.

"You probably won't know how to work since you haven't worked for anything in your life," Giovanni snarled.

"That's not true, Derrick tell him that's not true," I whined.

"It's pretty true, Chanel," Derrick said.

"I can't believe this, w-why are you taking his side after everything he put me through?" I wailed.

Derrick snickered. "Put you through? You realize what you've done to get yourself in this position. It puts us through a lot."

"Well if someone would let me go. I wouldn't be putting anyone through anything," I snarked at Giovanni.

"It'll be easier to kill you, you know. I'm willing to let you have chance to live," he said.

"Oh, that's real generous of you," I said, sarcastically. Let me live? He better let me live. "How much is this debt anyway?"

"Fifty million dollars," he answered.

My mouth dropped. "Where would I get that money from?"

"You have to figure that out," Giovanni said.

"Where will I get fifty million dollars from? You realize that is a lot of money," I said. "Why didn't my father just pay, I'm sure fifty million dollars is like nothing to him?"

"Maybe because he doesn't care," he said.

I rolled my eyes. "You're so rude."

"You're such a spoiled bitch," he insulted.

"You're such an arrogant asshole," I insulted back.

"I've had enough of you," he said. "We'll talk later, don't think I'll let how you've been acting towards me slide." He glared at me with his scary cold eyes.

I felt fear crawl in my stomach. I went too far. He's probably taking time to plot my death.

A while later, I was called to Giovanni's room. I definitely didn't want to go in there, but I had no choice really.

I stepped up the stairs and walked towards his room, making sure to take my precious time.

I felt someone grab my hand and pull me into his room. I yelped in fear and struggled against the strangers grasp.

Giovanni.

He pushed me against the wall and trapped me so I couldn't go anywhere.

"Let go," I exclaimed.

"I'm warning you, princess, you're life is in my hands." He reached his hand into his pocket and brought out a metallic item.

A gun.

I froze and was about to run away when he held me still, restraining me from taking off.

"Once wrong move and your dead," he warned.

I closed my eyes. I was frozen, I didn't want to move. I nodded my head, vigorously and just tried everything to stop this psycho from pulling the trigger.

"You're brain would be splattered all on my walls," he continued, coldly. "It'll be decoration."

I shuddered. My hands started to tremble.

"Please, d-don't kill me," I pleaded with him.

"You're not so tough now, are you?" He asked. He was smirking, he enjoyed this.

I closed my eyes as silent tears rolled down my rosy cheeks. I didn't want to die. I definitely didn't want him to be the cause of it either.

I felt the cold metal press against my temple. I started to hyperventilate. My chest heaved in and out and my breathing shortened.

He closed the spaces between our bodies and I felt stuck. Panic arises in me and I struggled under him.

"I-I'm sorry," I apologized. I didn't know what for in the moment, but I just wanted the gun away from me.

He chuckled coldly. My heart started to race and I needed to get away from him.

He placed the gun back in his pocket and moved away from me. Air filled my lungs again and I collapsed on the floor. I covered my face with my hands and tried to track my breathing.

I couldn't breathe.

I wheezed. "I-I can't-" I coughed.

I could feel his stare burn into my body.

"B-Breathe," I struggled to finish. I couldn't find the breath in my lungs.

"I won't kill you and you're brother will pay for your father's debt, but you're going to have to train soon," he tried to calm me down.

Coughs and hacks escaped my scratchy throat and all I could do was nod my head.

I would rather train than get fifty million dollars to pay for my stupid fathers debt. It was his fault, not mine.

"Okay, now get rest," he said. "Tomorrow's a big day."

He smirked and his eyes were cold. He intimidated me. I couldn't let him get to me, but he does all the time.

"You're my partner, now," he grinned.

"So what? Like a partner in crime?" I asked. My eyes widened. I didn't want to be partners with him.

He stared at me with his bleak eyes and didn't answer me.

I got up from the floor, my legs shaking. I made it over to the bed and collapsed on it, letting the comfiness take me to sleep.

Soon darkness took over my eyes and I let sleep take over my body.
