The rest of the day was alright. I didn't bump into Giovanni again which I was glad about.

Giovanni sent my dad my finger and now we're waiting for him to send back the money he owes him, or else I'm dead. I didn't doubt that Giovanni would kill me, he made it really obvious he doesn't like me. I still didn't understand why, but he was not easy to read.

I was currently sitting on the couch and watching TV, the boys were out doing a mission and Giovanni was in his office. Valeria and I were left alone with boredom.

"I'm bored," Valeria whined. "Where's Tobias, so I can make out with him?"

I rolled my eyes. "You can't throw yourself at every guy," I told her.

"Well at least I try and get guys you haven't been near them ever since the party," she told me.

My jaw dropped at her uncaring tone. She knew what happened to me.

"Oh come on, I didn't mean it like that, you know that," she said. Her eyes softened as she turned to me. "I don't mean to be a bitch."

"I know," I said. "It's just been hard."

Truth was I couldn't talk to anyone truly about how I was feeling. I felt everyone would judge me and I had to keep up the perfect act where I had no problems. The one where everyone looked up to me.

I felt crushed when Ashley told me I said that to her daughter. I didn't believe I would be able to do that, but my life was full of surprises and things I didn't remember I've said.

I wondered what it would be like if I was part of the gang. What would I do? What would I be in charge of? Everything confused me.

Everything changed since I found out my family was part of a life changing fact.

I didn't know who was good or bad since my father was in another gang which was enemies with the one that kidnapped me.

I was torn with what to believe in anymore. My life was a lie, most of it.

I was too lost in thought I didn't realize Giovanni was out of his office. Since I was bored I decided to ask him to make me something to eat.

I got up from the couch and walked towards him in the kitchen.

"Can you make me something to eat?" I asked. I batted my eyelashes and stared in his green eyes.

He didn't even look at me. He was unfazed. He ignored me and walked past me, hitting my shoulder on the way.

I followed behind him. "Don't you think you owe me for calling me a slut and many other hurtful words," I persuaded.

"I only said what was true," he answered. His voice was monotone. "I thought you didn't want to talk to me."

"I don't. I was getting hungry," I told him.

He ignored me. He had the same cold stare in his eyes.

"What? You're just going to let me starve?" I yelled after him. "I get that you don't like me, but that's cruel."

He stopped and turned around. He glared at me and I felt uncomfortable. I squirmed and looked away from him.

He came towards me and I stood my ground. "Ask someone else."

"I can't nobody is here but you and I'm pretty sure Valeria doesn't even know how to turn on a sink," I said.

"You aren't any different," he muttered under his breath.

I looked at him. I narrowed my eyes. "Would you quite with the insults. They actually are really insulting."

"And I can work a sink thank you very much," I sassed. I placed my hand on my hip and went over to the sink.

I almost tripped on the way over there since there was water on the ground. I tried to turn the sink faucet, but it made a growling noise come from the sink. I jumped in surprise.

I hid behind Giovanni. "There's something in your sink," I whispered to him.

He threw me off of him and groaned. He turned off the gurgling noise off. "That was the compost disposal."

"Oh, what's that?" I asked.

He gave me a hard glare and I smiled widely.

"Just-" he pulled at his hair. "Tell me what you want to eat." He seethed through his teeth.

"Anything's fine," I told him. I went to sit on the stool by the kitchen table.

"How about vegetables?" He asked.

I made a disgusting look on my face and scrunched my nose up. My lips pouted. "No!" I exclaimed. "What do you take me for a vegetarian?"

He scoffed. "You know what? You can make it yourself." He through the pots and pans on the table in front of me and walked away.

"No! Wait! I'm sorry, I-" I stared down at the metal cookware and back at Giovanni's back. He was looking through the cupboards. "Do you want me to burn your house down?" I asked.

"At least it will get you away from me," he growled.

"Can you just make me something not healthy?" I asked. "You should know." I signalled to his body. I tried to sound offensive, but he had a for body.

"Say something like that again and I won't have to wait for your father to pay me since you'd already have a bullet through your head," he threatened.

"Oh, you're no fun," I sighed. "Can you make me chicken fingers?"

"You want chicken fingers?" He asked. "That's all? That's all it takes and you're pleased?"

I nodded my head.

"Okay, if that's all," he said.

I nodded my head again. I was determined to have the chicken tenders.

He cooked the chicken fingers and I waited impatiently in the chair. My knee was bouncing up and down in anticipation.

Giovanni was getting up from a chair he sat in and I sat up in my chair.

"Are they ready?" I asked.

He stared at me. "They just got in," he stated.

"Oh." I slumped back into my chair. I was getting hungrier every second.

"The oven will beep when they're ready," he told me. "Don't get scared." He went back into his office.

I watched him as he left. He really just made me chicken fingers that's the first I thought he'd ever do something for me.

Suddenly the door opened and revealed the boys.

"There's a problem," Tobias said.

The boys looked sad expect for Grae he looked happy.

I sat up form the chair and watching the chicken fingers. Valeria fell asleep on the couch. I shook her awake and Giovanni walked out of his office.

"Could you guys shut up," he snarled.

"We have bad news . . ." Tobias drawled out.

I was getting restless. I wonder what happened.

"Well," I uttered. I was getting anxious a ball of nerves settled in my stomach.

"Your father didn't give us the money," Tobias said.

My mouth dropped.

Giovanni smirked at me. He would get amusement in killing me.

My father wouldn't pay at the expense of my life. How dare he?

"Bring her downstairs," Giovanni ordered.

Tobias gasped in shock. "You were serious?"

"I never back on my word."

"Yes, you do! You promised you wouldn't hurt me. You're doing the complete opposite," I whined.

I didn't want to die.

Grae grabbed ahold of my arm and dragged me towards the basement. I grabbed a hold of the staircase handle and clutched on to it. "You are not killing me!"

Giovanni took out his gun in the pant pocket and pointed it at me. "I guess I'll just do it here."

Suddenly a loud alarm rang through the house. I immediately covered my ears and a pitched scream escaped my lips. Smoke came from the oven.

"My chicken fingers!"
