Roseanne turned her headback to see both detectives standing in the doorway of the interrogation room, talking to one another. She looked up at her new attorney. "Seriously, who are you and why are you here?"

She smirked. "I told you, your friend hired me to come and save you."

"My friend?"

Seungwan nodded.

Roseanne pointed to her suit. "That looks expensive, which means you probably charge an arm and a leg for an hour of your time. I don't have rich friends."

"More like an arm, a leg, and a toe," Seungwan quipped. Her mouth broke into a smile as she nodded ahead of her. "Luckily, your friend there is definitely rich."

Roseanne's eyes followed Seungwan's direction and her mouth fell slightly open. Jeon Jungkook was standing near the exit of the police station.

"Thanks, Seungwan. I owe you for coming on such short notice," Jungkook said, shaking Roseanne's new attorney's hand.

Seungwan waved him off. "Don't worry about it. You autographed all those pictures for my nephew's class. I'm his favorite aunt. Besides, I'm billing you for this."

Jungkook chuckled and nodded. He waved as Seungwan waved at Roseanne and left them alone.

"Why?" It was the only question Roseanne needed to be answered. "Why would you hire an attorney for me?"

"Was she not helpful?"

"It's not that. You hardly know me. We aren't friends. I can pay you back if that's what you're thinking."

Jungkook laughed before pointing towards a black Mercedes. "That's me. Come on and I'll give you a ride home. Is your head okay?"

Roseanne nodded despite the pounding she'd had in her head for the past hour. She needed pain pills — the good kind.

"We can stop by the pharmacy and pick up your pain medication," Jungkook offered.

"I can take an Uber or something."

"Not a chance, Ghost Girl. You and I have some things to talk about."

Roseanne's eyes narrowed. "What things?" For a moment, she wondered if Jungkook had really murdered Tzuyu and wanted her to help him hide his crime. Perhaps he was trying to butter her up with free lawyers and pain medication.

"Get in and I'll explain," he said, opening the car door for her.

"I'm getting in but only because my head hurts and I'm too broke to buy pain medication."

"Fair enough. I'll make you a deal. I'll pay for your pain medication if you let me play SHINee songs on the way."

Roseanne shrugged. She didn't care what music he played in his own vehicle. Once they buckled in, Jungkook cleared his throat. He looked at Roseanne. "I'm sorry."

She wasn't sure how to reply. Was he sorry for murdering Tzuyu?

"Sorry for what?" Roseanne asked.

"Jaehyun should never have tricked you like that. Had I known, I would've stopped him. He was just trying to protect me. We're like brothers and he just-"

"Is that why you got me a lawyer? Because you felt guilty I got hit by a baseball, because Jaehyun asked me to meet him at the baseball field?"

"That and I didn't want you caught up in Tzuyu's murder."

A SHINee song played softly in the space between them. "What do you mean you didn't want me caught up in her murder? Aren't I already?"

"I mean I didn't want you to get caught up anymore than you already are. I don't know who murdered Tzuyu but I know it wasn't you. It couldn't have been."

"You sound so sure," Roseanne said softly. "Is it because of the video I posted? The one where we hear her scream? It's not like I could be in two places at once."

"There's that but I just know you wouldn't do something like that. I've been watching your videos for a while now. You're usually pretty thoughtful and respectful of the people who died. You wouldn't kill someone."

Roseanne shrugged. "You never know. People do crazy things everyday." She was staring out her window when she noticed the familiar street signs indicating they were almost at her apartment. She turned to Jungkook. "How do you know where I live?"

He didn't answer. Instead, he turned into the main parking area for her apartment complex. He scrunched up his nose as he looked around. "You really need to start monetizing your videos so you can get out of this dump."

"Dump? Are you kidding?" Roseanne said jokingly, waving her hand at their surroundings. "I'll have you know this place has it all. There's a liquor store, two gentlemen's clubs, and a pawn shop that can get you any prescription drug at half the price."

Roseanne looked up to see Mark, her roommate, and Yuju, her co-worker, leaving her apartment.

"Your medicine!" Jungkook lightly slapped his hand against his forehead. "I forgot to take us to the pharmacy. We can go now-"

Roseanne shook her head and pointed at her friends. "They'll take me."

She couldn't help but notice Jungkook staring at Yuju. Poor Mark would cry if he found out Jeon Jungkook found Yuju attractive. He wouldn't stand a chance against the Trinity. Especially not if Yuju was such a YouTube fan like Roseanne guessed she was. After seeing Yuju freak out when she met Nayeon, the YouTuber who had a gossip channel.

"That's definitely her. Are you friends with her?" Jungkook asked, pointing at Yuju.

Roseanne sighed. "Why? Do you want her name? Number?"

Jungkook turned to her, an expression of disgust on his face. Okay, maybe he didn't think Yuju was attractive.

"You don't think she's pretty?" Roseanne asked, a tone of disbelief in her voice.

"It's not that. Don't you know who she is?"

Roseanne nodded. "Her name's Yuju. She's my neighbor and works at Retropolis with me. Why?"

Jungkook turned back to stare at Yuju. She was laughing with Mark as they headed towards her car. "I've only met her twice but I remember her. I can't believe you're friends with her but it makes sense."

"It makes sense that we're friends? I'm going to try not to take that as some sort of insult towards me. I mean...I know she's pretty and all. She's definitely one of those people who leaves an impression," Roseanne said. "You really don't want her number? Not that I'm offering. I'm just curious."

"I really don't."

"Why not?"

Jungkook released a slight groan of frustration. "You really don't know?"

"Know what? Just tell me. Why are you acting like she's the last woman you want to date?"

"I'd never date her even if I found her attractive, which I don't. She's not my type."

"Said no guy ever who laid eyes on Yuju," Roseanne mumbled.

"You sound jealous."

"I'm not. I just think it's odd that you're insisting she's not your type. You must really have high standards after dating Tzuyu."

"Tzuyu and I broke up a long time ago and I've had plenty of women offer a night in their bed."

"TMI!" Roseanne groaned, pretending to cover her ears.

"She's not someone I'd ever date," Jungkook insisted. "Not even if she threw herself at me."

Roseanne rolled her eyes. "Yeah right."

"I'm serious."

"Why not?"

Jungkook watched as Yuju and Mark drove out of the parking lot before answering. "She's Tzuyu's cousin."
