《Whatever It Takes | Rosekook ✓》06: visit

"You're making the right choice," Mark was sitting in the backseat as Choi Yuju, one of their co-workers at Retropolis, drove Roseanne to the police station. "Whoever murdered Tzuyu probably sent that necklace to scare you."
"You think?" Roseanne gasped, still clutching the box on her lap.
Yuju shook her head. She turned her eyes on Roseanne. "I still can't believe you posted that video. Are you going to take it down?"
Roseanne shrugged. "What's the point? It's already been seen by millions. If I take it down now, it's like I'm admitting defeat and giving in to Tzuyu's killer."
Mark leaned forward, pushing his head between the two front seats. "I thought we agreed we weren't going to keep talking as if Tzuyu was murdered until the police officially said so."
"No, you said that I just stopped arguing with you," Roseanne explained. "I heard those footsteps and the pounding noises. That scream doesn't sound like someone who accidentally jumped."
"Since when did you become a scream expert?" Mark asked.
"I really think you should take the video down," Yuju said. "It's dangerous to keep it."
Mark nodded. "I agree. Yuju is right."
Roseanne turned to give him her best stink-eye expression. He would agree with Yuju regarding everything, he was so smitten with her.
"Please take the video down, Rosie," Yuju repeated.
"I told you guys," Roseanne's fingers tightened around her box. "This is my chance to help Tzuyu get justice," Roseanne sighed. "If I take the video down and everyone keeps assuming Tzuyu's death was an accident, I'll never forgive myself."
They pull into one of the visitor parking spaces at the police station. The building was massive with glass windows that covered half of the building and Roseanne made the sign of the cross before getting out of Yuju's car.

"Are you nervous?" Yuju asked.
"A little," Roseanne mumbled as they made their way to the cement steps leading towards the entrance.
"Well look who we have here," a male voice called out.
Roseanne, Mark, and Yuju looked up to see Jungkook and his two best friends, Jaehyun and Eunwoo.
"What are you doing here?" Jungkook asked, his eyes taking in Roseanne and her friends.
Roseanne gave him a smile. "It's nice to see you too."
He had bags under his eyes and Roseanne wondered if she spent the night crying over Tzuyu. His eyes narrowed on Mark. "The boyfriend?" They took in Yuju, "are you on YouTube as well? You look familiar."
"I'm the friend," Mark answered before pointing to Yuju who had her face turned away from the popular threesome. "And she's also a friend."
"What's in the box?" Eunwoo asked, pointing to the package containing Tzuyu's necklace. "Are you bringing someone cookies or something?"
"It has to do with Tzuyu's death," Mark explained, earning a glare from Roseanne and a sympathetic expression from Yuju. "Should I not have said that?"
"What's in the box?" Jungkook asked, taking a step closer to Roseanne.
"Why don't we leave you to talk it out," Yuju said, grabbing Mark's hand and dragging him behind her into the station. Mark looked back, eyes wide, pointing towards his fingers which were interlaced with Yuju's.
"You traitor," Roseanne mumbled.
"Maybe we should leave too," Jaehyun said softly.
"Then we won't see what's in the box," Eunwoo frowned.
Jaehyun pushed Eunwoo. "Let's go idiot."
As they left, Roseanne felt a slight breeze surround them. She cleared her throat. "You know why I'm here. What are you doing here? Did the police want to question you some more about Tzuyu?"

He ignored her question. "What's in the box?"
"You don't want to know."
He made a grab for it and she tried jumping out of his way. His hand pushed the box down and it fell from her hands. Jungkook lunged for the box and pulled it open, a curse slipping between his lips. "What the hell is this?" He lifted the necklace from the box. "How did you get this?"
"Someone sent that to me," Roseanne answered.
"Like I'd believe you," Jungkook scowled. "Did you take this last night?"
"No!"
"I saw the video you made. If it hadn't been for that, I'd guess you probably were her murderer."
"You're insane. For all I know, you're the one who killed Tzuyu," Roseanne snapped back. "I did see you two arguing."
"I didn't kill her."
Roseanne snatched the necklace from his hands. "As if you'd say anything different."
"Who sent you the necklace?"
"How would I know?"
"You should never have posted that video. You need to take it down," Jungkook ordered. He ran a frustrated hand through his dark hair. "Why did you post it in the first place? No, don't answer that. I already know. You wanted views and money, right?"
He could've slapped her and it would've hurt less.
"You don't know me," Roseanne hissed.
"I don't have to. You low-level YouTubers are all the same. You'll do anything for clout and views. Didn't anyone ever teach you it was bad form to use a dead person to get views?"
"Shut up! You don't know anything," Roseanne cried.
"Whatever," Jungkook muttered. "Listen, if you don't know what's good for you, don't get involved in Tzuyu's death."
"Is that a threat?"
"It's some much-needed advice."
He didn't wait for her to respond as he walked past her to where Eunwoo and Jaehyun were waiting.
"Was that Jeon Jungkook?" A voice said.
Standing behind Roseanne was Kim Yerim, Chou Tzuyu's best friend. Her eyes settled on the box in Roseanne's hands. Her eyes were pink as if she'd been crying.
"I'm sorry for your loss," Roseanne mumbled. "I suppose you're going to tell me to take down the video too?"
Yerim's eyes snapped towards Roseanne. "What?"
"You were close to Tzuyu. I bet you think I'm using her death. That's not what I'm doing. Not at all."
"I don't want you to take down the video," Yerim said softly.
Roseanne had to take a step closer to the girl before her. "What did you say?"
"Don't take down the video. I agree with you that someone murdered her. Everyone is assuming she jumped off the balcony...but Tzuyu had a lot of enemies. You can help me prove she was murdered."
"I can?"
Yerim nodded. "Yes, don't you see? You posted that video and now people are thinking that maybe she didn't die accidentally. Maybe she really was murdered. We have to keep digging."
Roseanne frowned. "We do?"
"Yes, we have to post videos of our investigation so the police don't try and cover this up."
"I'm not sure if that's such a good-"
Yerim started to sob. "Please. Tzuyu was my best friend. I'm not saying to monetize the videos. I'm just saying, you and I have an opportunity to do something no other YouTuber has done before."
"And that is?"
Yerim gave her a watery smile. "To solve a murder."

This is a writing exercise so chapters are mostly first drafts, otherwise I'd end up rewriting each chapter for a month or more with no real changes. My goals are a steady output by not using perfectionism as a procrastination method. I've already got laziness and additions to reading/games, I don't need a 3rd reason to procrastinate.][Disclaimer 2: The main character is a more normalized version of me, with 170% less laziness installed, and a few buffs like greater courage. Other things like having a job are partially similar. No other characters are based on real people because most people I know are either too normal to be useful or too fucked in the head to be believable.]
