last night, i was interrogated by jennie and taehyung about jeon jungkook.

"tell us what happened." asked jennie.

"everything." and taehyung. they looked like the characters from sherlock holmes?

i told them how he figured out he was the father.

how he said he'd take responsibility and proposed marriage.

and how we were going on a date tomorrow.

"he sounds like a better man that i thought." said jennie while looking at taehyung.

"well, there aren't a lot of accomplished men who would be willing to step up like that." taehyung agreed on jennie's statement.

"really..?" asked jennie curiously.

"i think we'll need to investigate."

"yes, i think we will."

investigate? what is wrong with them?

by 'investigate', they were planning on tailing, you dummies?!

if you were going to tail us, i wish you guys would be less obvious about it.

and the worst case it, jeon jungkook noticed it!

he also said, "your friends..didn't i mention that they could join us?" when we arrived earlier.

and guess what i apologized to him and said my friends are a bit weird. so embarrassing!

i looked at him standing beside me inside the lift.

anyway, he looks so different from yesterday. is this how he normally dresses when he's not working? it's a bit unexpected, but it suits him.

"i wanted to look a bit younger, so i carefully picked out my clothes. i guess i picked the correct style." he suddenly said while looking away. he blushed!

did he just caught me staring at him too intently?

"ah, yes..haha.." i looked away.

"how old are you, chaeyoung-sshi?" he asked.

"i'm twenty-five." i answered.

"hm..twenty-five...i'm.." why he seems hesitated though? is he worried about his age?

"i know your age, ji-hyo told me."

"i see. were you investigating me?"

"no, we were talking about ji-hyo's parents and the topic came up. she mentioned that you were eight years younger than her father." i explained.

"ah, my brother." he sighed, looking annoyed after i mentioned his brother.

and we both kept silent until the lift stopped at the particular floor.

"chaeyoung-sshi, wouldn't you like to get a little closer?" he suddenly asked.

isn't that today's purpose?

"isn't that why we're meeting? to get closer?"

"on that note, i'd like us to drop the formalities." he said.

"you can do whatever you want." i sighed.

"okay, chae." he suddenly said, making me cringe.

"w-what?" i looked at him abruptly, shocked can be written all over my face.

"you said i could do whatever i want." he exclaimed.

"m-maybe it's too soon?" i said.

"you can drop the formalities too. hmm...oppa?" he suggested me to call him OPPA??!!

this is even more cringe!

"no! no! no! never! i'll just stick with jungkook."

"hm? all right then." he eyed me, confused.

oppa?! no way.

that's so awkward!

"chaeyoung, wait." he suddenly stopped on his track.

huh? why?

i just watched him as he walked towards this one specific direction. towards jennie and taehyung's direction?!

at the back of a big pole.

aren't they embarrassed with their behavior?

"hello, chaeyoung's friends." jungkook greeted.

"hello?" and both of them looked dumbfounded too.

"since you've come to the movies, would you like to watch a movie with us?" jungkook's question brighten up their faces.

"wh-why not? ahaha.." i could see them shamelessly agreed.

you idiots! if you were going to do that, why'd you tail us in the first place?!

"ahaha..hi, chae! i-i didn't expect to see you here." said jennie jokingly. yeah, acting up as if jungkook didn't notice it at all.

"cut it out and take off your sunglasses. you're embarrassing me.." i whisper-shouted at them.

"is everything ready?" jungkook asked one of the workers here.

"yes, please come this way." we tailed behind the worker as he showed the direction.

and here we are. only us are in here!

"did you buy out the entire theater?" i asked jungkook.

"no." he said plainly.

"then where are all the other guests..?" there's no way only us want to watch the movie today.

"i told the manager i wanted this theater empty for three hours."

ah..i forgot.

this movie theater chain is an affiliate company of dae-han group. and this man is the vice president of dae-han group. i guess he wouldn't have had to buy out the entire theater.

rich people..are just on another level.

he said we should be closer but he seems even further away.

"did you have a movie you wanted to see?" he asked.

"nothing in particular. you can pick." i answered as i sipped the strawberry smoothie on my hand.

"how's the seat? do you want me to ask for another cushion?" he asked again.

"it's fine." really.

"what about the drink? i thought soda wouldn't be good for you. so i asked for a fruit smoothie. i also just asked for regular popcorn.." he continued to blabber and ask if everything is fine.

i put the smoothie down and said, "yes, all of that is fine. thank you."

i just okay with everything. not really a picky type of person.

"chaeyoung likes cheese popcorn and she prefers mango over strawberry." taehyung suddenly came out of nowhere and telling jungkook all these things.

"is that so?" jungkook asked.

"what? no, this is fine, too. taehyung is just..." before i could finish my sentence, taehyung interrupted me.

"what do you mean? i thought the two of you were trying to get to know each other? don't you know that these little things are important to know and can cause rifts in relationships? anyway, so chae..." just before taehyung could finish his words, jennie interrupted him too.

"oy, taehyung. cut it out." said jennie, she looked so...happy? can't stop eating the popcorn in front of her.

"ah..okay..stop eating so much popcorn. you won't be able to eat later at this rate." said taehyung to jennie as he walked back to his seat.

"i'll eat if i want to. chaeyoung's a big girl. she can take care of herself." said jennie, i am totally agree with her.

and then, the whole theater became silent.

"mr. vice president. mr. vice president." another female worker called out jungkook, but he seems unnoticed by that.

"ah, yes."

"did you need anything else?" she asked.

"uh, please bring mango juice and cheese popcorn. please play the most popular movie." he directed.

"yes, sir."

but me, i just looked at the couple beside me. jennie and taehyung looked so happy and in love.

a few moments later, the movie finally played which able to drew my attention towards it.

huh? this movie is already out? i wanted to watch it.

this worked out. i'll at least get to watch a movie i wanted to see.
