"Are you excited for your first day in Shiratorizawa?" (L/n) Hairi, (Y/n)'s mother asked.
"Yeah, ma!"
Hairi and her wife, Yua, smiled. "Alright. Off you go, then."
"See you!"
(Y/n) skipped along the pavement, and rang the bell of his neighbor, Semi Eita.
"We'll miss you, Onii-san!" Eita's younger brother called as Eita ran out of the house to (Y/n).
"See you all!" Eita said. He ran to join his smaller friend on a quest to go to high school.
"Hey Eita."
"(Y/n)! Are you ready for school?" Eita asked.
"Yep, I certainly am." (Y/n) replied.
"Mhm, I'm kind of nervous. You know, there's a lot of people who would befriend us just because of our parents." Eita said as the two started to walk down the road.
"I know." (Y/n) huffed. "But who needs those people anyways. I mean, we have each other, so it's fine."
Eita smiled. "You really know what to say in moments like these, don't you?"
"Well, I know you well. We've been friends since we were kids."
"Fair, fair."
They soon saw the Shiratorizawa bus heading their way, and it soon came to a stop.
"You need help?" Eita asked.
"Nah. I'm fine."
"OK."
They quickly got on the bus, where they saw a boy with olive hair, and a boy with spiky red hair.
"Hey Tendou, Ushijima."
"You know them, Eita?"
"Yeah, I do. We met in volleyball."
"Oh, nice."
"Anyways, Tendou, Ushijima, can we sit here?"
"Of course." Ushijma replied as he and Tendou scooted enough space for Eita and (Y/n) to sit.
"So, what's your name?" Tendou asked.
"I'm (Y/n)! I'm Eita's childhood friend, and we live next to each other." (Y/n) replied.

Then, for the rest of the busride, (Y/n), Tendou, Eita, and Ushijima had a generally good chat.
"Hey, I just noticed this, but you two act like a couple." Tendou pointed out.
"Huh? Who?" Ushijima asked.
"(L/n)-kun and Semisemi."
"Huh, us? We do? Do we?" (Y/n) asked Eita as he reached down to tie his shoes.
"I don't know." Eita shrugged as he just stared at (Y/n).
Ushijima and Tendou then looked at each other, and their gazes only said one thing;
They're completely oblivious to it, aren't they?
"OK..." Tendou smiled.
.
.
.
Tendou stared at (Y/n) and Semi with a deadpan face. They were feeding each other their lunches. Such a... couple thing.
"Hello." Ushijima greeted them.
"Hey!" (Y/n) greeted Ushijima.
The lunch went on a bit chaotically but it was mostly peaceful. But Tendou just couldn't shake the thought of the two secretly being lovers from his head. He thought maybe it was his imagination, but one look at Ushijima, and it was confirmed; they were so in love. UshiTen wanted to outright say it, but wanted to see how long the charade of oblivion would last... they just hoped it would end soon because it was painful to watch.

Prime Magus of Earth
"In the beginning, I had no idea what was going on. My brother and friends were gone, my sight was gone, and yet I still saw things, things about this world that no one else knew. I'm not special, or gifted, anyone could have done what I did. I just got lucky, especially after everything that happened afterwards. Magic already existed, it always had. Humans just didn't know how to do it, didn't know how to nuture that small spark in them. Now you do." - Prime Magus of Earth, Alexander Sorin. November 2021 Update: So, it has been four years since I stopped working on this. Reading back, the first "book" is finished. It has what feels like an ending to an arc. Now it isn't a perfect story but I still like it and I can see myself starting the second book, might even this on Amazon or something. My biggest regret was never coming up with artwork for the cover though. Maybe I'll look into it.
