hey you! I saw your insta story!
you're pretty strong for a girl.
Uhhh thanks?
But should I consider that as a insult or..?
I dunno, do what you want idrc
what position do you play huh?
wing spiker.
judging by your posts, I assume you also play volleyball?
Obviously
you're strong, I'll give you that. But can you defeat me?
I haven't seen you play so I guess i can't really answer that
Huh?! You've seen my posts! Can't you just judge from there?
it's much more easier to comment when you see it in person ya know!
then why don't you come over to my school? And 2v2 with me, you, a random teammate probably and invite some other person to help you out.
I'll show you what a real ace is!
you're from Japan right?
oh no, I'm speaking Chinese.
why you! Whatever.
even if I did accept your challenge, there's no way I would go there
Ha! Why? Do I intimidate you already? Can't blame you though, I'm pretty awesome.
So egoistic but nonetheless, no I'm not intimidated by you!
I legit can't go there.
I still don't get it.
I literally can't go over there. I'm in another country lol
wtfffff
but you're speaking Japanese?
okay whatever, I need to go now!
right, same. I need to head on over to the gym
Same! But here's a challenge!
who can score the most points out of the two of us!
you're on birdy.
That's where your friendship grew.
At first you were kinda surprised on how confident he was in speaking to you, despite just talking to each other for the first time.
Your first introduction of him was.. I guess enthusiastic and kinda boastful about his skills, but you couldn't really blame him. You would be just as proud when your that skillful as he was.

32 when you added up the first set to the second!
Whaaaaaatt?! I only scored 26!
HAH! This is the 10th time we did this! I guess I don't need you to come on over. We can already judge from here.
you haven't seen me play!
no need
still think I'm better than you :p
you don't read messages do you?
32 and 26.
hey! That's already alot >:[
no offense I could probably do better with my eyes close ngl
piss off :<
oi, don't go offline on me now.
I'm bored and you're the only one I can message.
wow, the ace of kamomedai high is actually a loner.
Oi! I'm not a loner! I just wanna talk to you more
Korai paused his thumb that almost pressed the button "send" but immediately stopped and erased the few words.
Reluctant about sending the last part of his message, he decided to delete it and make up an excuse which he hoped that you would actually believe it.
Oi! I'm not a loner! Speaking to someone who thinks their better than me interests me!
so don't get your hopes up ;>
I wasn't! >:(
Korai was in his second years, despite being "short" he was surprisingly the ace and could probably jump higher than anyone you ever knew or met.
Judging by his posts that he would always brag about whenever he does, he sure was an amazing wing spiker despite being at such a young age, not to mention his strength was unbelievable.
Y/n! Oi! Guess what?!
nah, too lazy to function
but that's kinda me everyday so it doesn't really make a difference.
what up?
I got in invited to..
Japan Youth Intensive Training camp!
my abilities never failed to amaze the crowd afterall
really?! Congratulations Korai!
I'm so proud of you!
I wish you were here.

With a click of a tounge, he again hesitated to be so bold about what he was feeling at the moment. But it's not like he could help it or anything, he was so eager to actually meet you in person.
But knowing both of your tight schedules and of course school works always get in the way, it was practically impossible to fly over to your country which was also vice versa for you.
Not to mention the unbelievable amount of money you needed to pay in order to book a flight.
I personally think i would be the best there lol
Pshh, I may have to disagree on that
hey!
Of course you would love to meet Korai in person, his appearance surprised you when you saw his picture for the first time in his posts. But his bird-like look made him even more interesting.
hey Y/n, I'm in a new team now :)
Woah, really?
Kewl! What's the name?
it's Schweiden Adlers, I'm pretty sure.
remember that Kageyama dude I told you about during training camp awhile back?
Karasuno guy that does cool quick? Yeah, what about him?
He's in my team as a setter, did not expect that to happen but oh well
Really? Then I suppose that Hinata guy is there too?
Ah no, i think he's at black jackals or something
Aw man, they got separated huh? Wait-does that mean there's a possibly they would be your opponent?
I guess so
Ah! I gtg, bye Y/n!
awe okay, bye!
I want to see you soon.
me too Korai. Me too
The outside hitter smiled upon seeing your reply, it wasn't too long ago since he confessed his feelings rather bluntly to you, but you couldn't expect any less from him.
Even if they did manage to go against Black Jackals in the near future, he promised himself he would win it for you and only you.
y/n, only a few days more till we beat some volleyball team's asses.
you better be watching television by then.
*tic toc*
*tic toc*
*tic toc*
Korai clicked his tounge in annoyance, wondering in what was taking you so long to reply. If you were busy he knows you would've told him beforehand.
Of course he waited more than just a few hours, but still no reply came from you which slightly concerned him.
.
"I hate this," he muttered, it's been a whole day since he checked up on you, his latest message was still left in delivered, indicating that you still haven't seen it yet.
With a click of his tounge, he sent you thrice as messages as he usually does, eager for you to reply or even look at your inbox just once.
His team members obviously noticed his sloppy hits and whatnot, he's gotten more spaced out and lazy to even walk around from time to time.
Some even wondered if he was still alive or a corpse that just dug itself out to breathe fresh air or something like that.
Normally, he would walk with Kageyama who was also surprised that he managed to get close to Korai, even when he got so irritated back then at training camp.
Just as he placed his phone back at his pockets, walking to wherever his feet dragged him. A volleyball went straight for his head from behind, earning a grunt and a wince from him.
"What the hell!" he complained,
massaging the spot that was hit, he immediately glared at nothing before turning his head, only to leave his mouth hanging in speechless manner, widening his eyes in the sight before him, visibly flustered.
"Still up for that 2v2?"
