Matsukawa exhaled a breath of air, closing his eyes in satisfaction before reopening them with a small yet noticeable frown.
Oikawa, being observant, smirked as he slings his arm over the middle blocker's shoulder. "Oi oi Mattsun, what's the long face for?" the captain asked, still with the same teasing smirk.
Just as the black haired blocker was about to reassure the brunette that he was fine, a smack on the captain's head was heard along with a grunt.
"Iwa-chan that hurts!" Oikawa whined, letting go of the blocker and massaging the back of his head with a pout which Iwaizumi felt bad at first but held his posture.
"Leave him alone, he needs time." The ace stated with a small sigh after seeing Oikawa's pout, "But Iwa-chan! He looks like he needs comfort!" Iwaizumi clicked his tounge and sighed once again.
"I know he does just not from you." the captain dramatically gasped, placing a hand on his chest with a offended expression. "Iwa-chan are you saying I'm not good at comfort—"
"Yes." The ace cut off, already knowing what the brunette was going to say which made him pout once again, talking back once more to purposely irritate Iwaizumi.
Although Oikawa wasn't exactly wrong. Matsukawa has been getting less sleep lately and nightmares became a endless loop for him. Though, he genuinely WAS going to tell you about it but decided to go against it.
After you basically broke down out of stress because of the volleyball team, Matsukawa being his caring self, kept silent about his problems and didn't bother giving you hints, knowing you were stressed enough to handle any more.
"Matsu." his almost-closed eyes flickered open, glancing to his best friend, Hanamaki with a concerned expression, his arms crossed as a small sigh escaped his lips.
"Spill." Hanamaki simply stated, raising up an eyebrow in small impatience after receiving nothing but a confused expression from the blocker.
Takahiro let out a heavy sigh, pinching the bridge of his nose. "Your barely blocking any spikes today." the male paused and frowned. "Not to mention you can't keep up with the jumps.." Matsukawa frowned and muttered an apology.

Hanamaki wasn't exaggerating his words. The middle blocker was always late to jump and normally Matsukawa would predict where the ball would go but no, not this time. He barely even hit any.
With a small frown, Issei shaked his head along with his hands waving. "Ah-no I'm okay. I'll do better." but the male didn't budge nor move, not until the he hears what he wants to hear.
"I'm telling you again, spill." the impatient male repeated once again, Matsukawa sighed, his mouth opening to speak until—
"Trashykawa stop annoying our manager!" the both of them glanced over to your direction, clearly irritated by the nonesense talking brunette.
He smiled a bit after seeing you take a breathe of air, pinching the bridge of your nose before clapping both of your hands. "Break's over, guys!" they all let out a unison of agreement, walking back to whatever they had to do.
Your lover shot you a small apologetic smile, already knowing your irritation because of a certain brunette captain.
Though you just sent him a chuckle and a motion for him to go which led to the disappointment of Hanamaki.
Unknown to the middle blocker, His best friend watched his every move intensely like he was watching some kind of movie that he was interested in.
He missed.
He missed.
He's late.
He missed.
Takahiro clicked his tounge before calling out a time out for himself, jogging towards your direction before tapping your shoulder.
Turning around, you smiled and waved a bit. "Ah Hanamaki, do you need anything? Water? Towel?" you question but earned a 'no' in return which made you plaster a confused expression in your face.
He simply pointed to your lover who was panting, sweating and getting scolded by the other blockers which was something you don't witness everyday.
You glance back at Hanamaki who raised a brow, his expression asking something which you of course, didn't know what.
"What's wrong? Is he injured and didn't tell me?" you asked, concerned already which goes noticed by the male as he sighs heavily.
"He's acting strange Y/n," he paused and motioned for you to open the notebook which was used to keep tabs of practices, blocks, spikes, receives all that things for the players.

You gave him a weird look which he ignores as he watched you open the notebook, staring at you while you were too busy reading.
"H-huh?" you mumble which he obviously heared over the sounds of yells from his teammates. "What?" he asked, trying to peek at the notebook.
"Matsu.." he raised a brow, his arms crossing. "What about him?" he asked, a bit worried about his best friend.
"He hasn't blocked a single ball this week...?!" even you sound so surprised as Hanamaki scoffs, furrowing his brows with a unsure smile.
"Excuse me." he paused as he coughs on air before continuing:
"He WHAT?!"
➳——★——➳
You debated on whether asking him about it or not, even though Matsukawa hasn't realised it yet.
His bags underneath his eyes got darker and deeper, either he was stressed or getting lack of sleep which worried you alot.
Sometimes he would stay quiet while you two walked to school together and there were times in practice he almost fell asleep on breaks.
With a huff you glanced at him, widening your eyes when you noticed his eyes were closing.
Is he THAT sleepy or something?! You thought, eyeing him up and down as Hanamaki walked beside him, since your lover was placed in the middle of the 3 of you.
"Hey, Matsu are you al—" Hanamaki couldn't finish his words when the middle blocker suddenly passed out, luckily ,his best friend caught him by the waist with a grunt.
Hanamaki turned to you, "Y/n help me carry him to his house." you saluted and nodded.
"Of course!"
.
"Ha! I win!" you cheer, hands in the air as you stuck a tounge out a groaning Hanamaki, shaking his head in disappointment.
"This is the 3rd round! How could I possibly loose thrice in a row?!" He complained, gripping his hair in stress which made you laugh at his defeat.
Its been an 1 hour and a half, thanks to Hanamaki being a sore looser at chess, you two managed to entertain each other.
Oi oi, stop what you're thinking ya dirty. Nah Jkjkjkjk sorry~
Suddenly, you two hear a loud thud from the middle blocker's room and a yell:
"Y/n?! Y/n?!" you two exchanged looks be for nodding to each other, getting up from the floor to run up tuo his room.
Hanamaki kicked the door opened which made you furrow your brows, "Was that necessary?!" you yell, not knowing why you were shouting in the first place.
"Shut up I panicked!" he reasoned out before glancing towards your lover.
Your chest tightened at the sight of him.
His hands were gripping his hair tightly, tears streaming down his face as his sobs got more louder by the minute, his body trembling like a leaf as he hugs his knees.
Without 2nd thoughts you ran over to him, hugging him tightly while he glanced at you with his puffy eyes.
"Y/n? Is that you?" He asked, relief in his eyes after seeing you nod as he hugs you tightly.
➳——★——➳
"So you didn't wanna tell me since you think I'm stressed enough..?" you asked, unsure while you tilt your head to the side.
Matsukawa, who was still holding your hand nodded. "I didn't want to bother you with my personal problems so I didn't tell you.." he frowned as Hanamaki rolled his eyes.
"I don't even know if that's considered as selfless or selfish." you glared at the male before glancing back at your lover who was laying down on his bed.
You caressed his hair with a soft smile, "Matsu..i love you alot okay? Don't ever keep secrets from me that includes your problems, yeah?" He nodded, smiling a bit.
"Hey Y/n..?" Hanakami stared at the two of you in admiration. "Yes?"
"Can you cuddle with me please?" you giggled, laying down next to him as he presses a kiss ontop of your head, closing your eyes at his warmth.
Hanamaki smiled after he hears Matsukawa mumble a thank you to him.
The middle blocker felt his eyelids getting heavier, closing it at the process while Hanamaki walked out of the room with a small squeal after.
"Oh wait-I need to go back to take pictures."
"For Blackmail of course."
The two of them are like.. <3
