"Eh?!" Hinata exclaimed, his eyes wide, obviously getting the attention of some of the members in the gym which simply stared at the two sunshines.

Yachi flushed red, placing her finger on her lips. "S-shh! What if she hears you?" she whined quietly, earning a bow and a mutter of apology from the middle blocker.

The female sunshine glanced at a certain direction before shaking Hinata's arm eagerly. "S-she's about to serve! L-look!" and with that, the blocker quickly snapped his gaze to this "she."

There you were, L/n Y/n, panting and a few sweat drops on your face as you did your serve, almost just a blink of an eye it already landed on the other side of the net.

Nishinoya, who was practicing his receives with your serves, widened his eyes in surprise. Not even getting a chance to take a look at the ball that flew past him.

Yui, the captain of your team saw this and chuckled. "L/n! Take it easy," she paused to call you out to take a rest which you huffed at.

The female captain giggled and patted your back repeatedly, handing you over a towel and your water bottle with a smile.

"The practice match hasn't even started yet, we want you in full energy as our new ace." She stated as you looked away, huffing once again.

After taking the ace title from Mao Aihara, the vice captain of the girl's volleyball team. The boys decided to practice with the opposite gender, to atleast have a opponent other than each other.

You sighed heavily, clicking your tounge, salty at the fact that you aren't practicing anymore.

"L/n-Senpai!" your ear perked up, hearing a familiar yell from a close distance which got your glance and attention.

The orange haired male was one of the first years you're friends with, that includes Kageyama, Yamaguchi and a few others like Tsukishima.

Of course being a second year to them, it was only normal to hear them call you "senpai" which you didn't really care about to be honest.

You waved, a blank expression on your face thought it was still obvious that you were happy to see Hinata.

Squinting your eyes, you see a blonde haired female right next to him, flushed red while staring at you in awe which you found adorable.

"Yui." you called out, not bothering to add a "San" or anything else in the end of her name which she didn't mind.

"Yes?" she asked, right beside you as you point to the blonde female which she flinched at.

"H-Hinata! Sh-she's p-pointing!" Yachi exclaimed, shaking the middle blocker vigorously which was a bit concerning.

"Did you do something?!" Hinata asked, panicking along. "I-i don't know! Did I?" she asked herself, her face turning pale while she thinks of any possibilities.

"Ah her? Yachi Hitoka." Yui stated with a smile before it turned into a playful grin, nudging you by the waist which you clicked your tounge at.

"Stop that." you demanded as she continued nudging you, "You like her~"

"I've never seen her in my entire life." you lied, you always see her in the hallways staring at you so intensely it's either concerning or flattering.

Though the female captain sheepishly shrugged, a smug look on her face which made you want to punch her. But she is an upperclass man, so.. You can't really do anything violent.

"Okay, whatever you say." and with that, she walked away a bit shaky since Yui noticed your expression that was saying you wanted to kill her.

With a click of a tounge, you felt a stare which made you shudder. Looking around, you immediately caught the eyes of:

"Yachi huh." you muttered, squinting your eyes at the now-flushed red faced female who quickly looked away which made you smile a bit.

"Hn.." you paused.

"Cute.."

"L/n-San!" you flinched a bit, glancing over to your captain who was motioning for you to walk over, which you did of course.

"What?" you asked, still not taking your eyes off the blonde manager which goes noticed by Yui but decided not to speak since she would probably die if further more teasing happens.

"Were gonna start!" a sigh escaped your lips as you roll your eyes, irritated at the fact Yachi wasn't glancing back at you.

Deciding to look away, you nod. "Alright," the team smiled at your words before plastering on a determined expression while your blank one still stayed.

"Karasuno.."

"Fight!"

"So annoying.." you mutter after your spike was blocked by the tall blonde male, but atleast your team's libero, Watabe managed to save it, Aoki tossed it again as you huff.

"Give it to me!" Yui chuckled at your state before backing away before you spiked it, breaking through the blockers which winced at the impact of the ball.

"What the.. That was so fast.." Asahi muttered, his Eyebrows furrowing as you stared at the male ace, mocking him internally.

Coach Ukai called out a break time which you didn't mind, it was getting tiring.

Deciding to be annoying, you grinned smugly at Kageyama, Tsukishima and Hinata who recently failed to block your spike.

The orange head looked at you in admiration, "That was so cool Senpai!"

"Tch.."

"Knuff." You raised a brow at the setter's words but decided to take it as an compliment, walking away to rest a bit.

Picking up a towel, you sighed. "S-Senpai!" your ear perked up, your head turning as your eyes lit up in slight excitement to see-

"Need anything, Yachi?" you asked, eyeing her which made her visibly flush red, you glanced at her hands which was holding water bottles.

"Ah, thanks." you say, grabbing one with a small smile. "Thank you-! I mean- I'm sorry I mean what?!.. I- sorry bye!" she stammered, bowing quite low as she runs away from you.

You eyed as she runs over to Hinata, panting crazily like she just ran a marathon from Tokyo to Miyagi or something.

She starts blabbering things while her face was bright red, Hinata trying to calm her down, Tsukishima commenting embarrassing things while Tanaka and Nishinoya tries to butt in the conversation.

"She seems.. Shy." Yui commented, referring to the blonde female, eyeing her as well which made you click your tounge.

"More like embarrassingly awkward." you 'corrected' which made the female captain chuckle,

"She's not that awkward."

"B-but sh-she's n-not! I-I mean she isn't I mean gah!" you mocked, Yui surprised that you actually nailed Yachi's voice.

"Stop being so rude." She teased while you rolled your eyes. "She seems calm to all of you,"

"Maybe if you remove the scowl on your face?"

"I do NOT scowl." you defended, a scowl plastered on your face which made Yui burst out laughing.

"Alright."

A sigh escaped your lips as you walk out the gates of the school, not bothering to walk with the rest of the team since you were too exhausted to go "eat out."

"S-senpai!" a smirk unknowingly crept up in your lips as you turn around, Yachi running towards you before she finally made it beside you.

Of course you didn't fail to notice Tanaka, Nishinoya and Hinata hyping her up before she ran over.

"Hn.. Strange choice of wingmen." you commented, chuckling at the end which made her flush even more.

"I-i was wondering i-if you could walk beside them-? I mean.. W-walk beside Daichi- huh? Daichi? No I meant!" she stopped when she noticed you were blankly staring at her.

"Pfft, So awkward." you pointed out, smirking as you look down on her a bit since you were a little taller than her in height.

Yahci tucked a piece of hair strand behind her ear which made your cheeks heat up, your eyes widening slightly as you cover your mouth, looking away.

"I-is there a problem?" she asked, noticing you suddenly went quiet.

"Nothing. Just keep walking." Yachi nodded, looking down on the ground with her face still bright red like before.

"Yachi-San." you called out as she stiffened up, straightening her posture.

"Y-yes?!"

"Let's walk again tomorrow,"

"I-of course not! I meant maybe-! No I meant—"

"I get it."

I would like to have Tanaka and Nishinoya as my hype men please.

Also at first I wanted to make Y/n as a setter but then I remembered Yachi's words "I fEeL lIke mY aRmS aRe gOnnA fAll oFf"

And i wanted to make the reader kinda like the opposite of Yachi but I feel like I kinda failed..?
