Kageyama sat on the floor, leaning his head against the gym wall. His heart thumped loudly in his chest, drowning out everyone's shoes that squeaked across the gym floor. Kageyama couldn't focus on practice anymore so he was "nicely" ordered to sit out of practice
His mind kept circling back to what he said to sweet Hinata only a moment ago after pushing him down onto the floor:
Kageyama hid his face in his arms, a towel still sitting on top of his wet head.
Kageyama could feel Hinata watching him from the corner of his eye throughout practice. Kageyama tried his best to not make any eye contact between them or acknowledge the fact...
Kageyama felt on edge as Hinata's bike rattled loudly behind him. Kageyama was silent the entire time but then couldn't take it anymore
Hinata jolted up in surprise when Kageyama suddenly snapped his head in his direction, sending angry daggers his way. If looks could kill, his would. "Why are you following me?!" Kageyama demands, "what is it?! Do you need something?!"
""Oh, u-hmmm I-i.." Hinata stammers and looks awkwardly off to the side. "I just thought m-maybe... We could go home together..?" It sounded more like a question than a anwser.
Kageyama felt his stomach flip. "Were you not listening to me before? I said to stay away from me off the court, did I not?"
"Well yeah but..." Hinata mutters, puckering his lips, "I can't figure out why you'd say something like that."
"Tell me why!- Give me a reason! I'm not above apologizing if it's my fault, so..." Kageyama stayed quiet as Hinata mumbled things. Ridiculous things.
Kageyama casts his head sideways, keeping his glance towards the ground with his dark hair covering his eyes. "...It's not your fault I've been off game." He knew he was all too well. "I'll pass you proper tosses again soon enough so sit back and just be patient with me-"

Hinata gripped his green bike tightly and sent a incredulous new look at Kageyama. "I'm not worried you won't send me tosses, you know! I'm worried about you! You.. you always try to solve your problems on your own and I just don't think that's healthy."
Kageyama grumbles before demanding, "Why should I have to listen to anything you say--"
"Because I'm your teammate right?!" Hinata asks in an angered tone, "what kind of friends are only close on the court?"
"I'll do anything you tell me if I can! I'll listen to anything you ask of me!- So, whatever it is you're thinking of, or you want to do, tell me!" And then there was silence, the two boys just staring at each other. Hinata shifts from one foot to the other . "And that's... all I have to say. So uh... I'll be on my way, for today." Hinata turns with his rattling bike down the street.
OI," Kageyama calls out without really thinking. Or maybe he did too much thinking. Hinata stopped right in his tracks at the sound of Kageyama's voice. "So you'll seriously.. do anything?" Kageyama asked.
His heart was hammering but he chose to ignore it. He also chose to ignore the way Hinata looked at him. Without a second thought, Hinata nodded. "Yeah."
"Then... then come with me." Kageyama turned away and began walking down the sidewalk.
"EH?! Um.. o-okay," Hinata agreed, quickly following after Kageyama, leaving his bike behind somewhere he thought was safe enough.
Kageyama had brought him to a deserted, old park. No one was around them... Kageyama brought them into a clearing and stood in front of Hinata with his head hanging.
"Umm... K-Kageyama-san?" Hinata looked around the won't park. "Why have we come to such a secluded place..?"

Strange noises surrounded them and also trees and bushes. Probably no one in the neighboring neighborhood would hear them. Hinata's first thought was that Kageyama was going to scream and most likely punch him for being a dumbass. Hinata felt shivers go down his spine.
Kageyama balled up his fist and refused to look up at confused Hinata.
"H-hey," Hinaya stammered. "I know I said I'd do anything but I don't want it to hurt, 'kay?"
"I don't intend to do anything you don't want me to," Kageyama said straightforwardly. Hinata had no clue what was happening but the way Kageyama was...-
"But in return," Kageyama continued, "after I do what I'm about to do, you aren't allowed to ask why I did it"
Hinata looked up at Kageyama, feeling more and more nervous. He did a slight nod of the head of agreement. "O-Of course?"
Kageyama kept shifting from one side to the other, unsure where to put his weight. "A-and if you don't like it, speak up, got it?!" Kageyama said sternly.
"O-okay..?" Hinata grabbed his bag strap tightly
Kageyama doesn't think he's ever been this anxious before... Slowly, Kageyama reached out his hand and cupped Hinata cheek gently, feeling his fingers brush Hinata's hair. Hinata looked up at him curiously, realizing that his back was up against a strangely tall tree. Hinata must've stepped back without fully realizing it.
Kageyama brushed Hinata's cheek lightly, enjoying the warmth it gave. Kageyama's heart leaped into his throat when Hinata suddenly nuzzled his head into Kageyama's palm and sighed softly. Kageyama froze and his eyes widened, his heart not calming down but speeding up instead. Then it settled.Kageyama wrapped his arm around Hinata's back then pulled him close, right back into his chest. He laced his fingers into Hinata's hair and held him. Kageyama felt the need to do this... Everything surrounding them dissolved in an instant, it almost felt like the whole thing was in slow motion.
Kageyama's cheeks were pink, him trying to fully processing what he was finally about to do as he rested his head onto Hinata's shoulder. Hinata stood still and silent.Kageyama gave Hinata one last tight squeeze.
Kageyama suddenly felt Hinata squeeze back then pat Kageyama's back sympathetically. Kageyama lifted his head. Hinata smiled up at him, his cheeks a dusty pink. Sparkles seem to dazzle around him, making Kageyama's heart start right back up again...
Kageyama grabbed Hinata's shoulder and pushed him forward, pining him to the tree that stood behind him. Kageyama leaned down closer and closer and finally connected their lips together. It was a wonderful sensation. Kageyama enjoyed it more than he should... Hinata's lips were so god damn soft! And warm...
After a second that seemed to last forever, Kageyama pulled away with his eyes open to see the look on Hinata's face. Kageyama couldn't read his expression and couldn't believe what he finally just did. Kageyama stepped back awkwardly and shoved Hinata a safe distance away from him.
He then stomped away and picked up his discarded bookbag, slinging it across his shoulder as he mumbled a, "Thanks." He then began walking back down to the main road.
Hinata grazed his lips with one of his fingers, his cheeks still a deep pink, his look unreadable
Kageyama's heart was pounding in his ears and his nerves just wouldn't settle and yet... He enjoyed the feeling. Kageyama was glad that he finally did it.
He just didn't know how Hinata felt about it and that was the worst feeling of them all
