His agency warned him about the difficult attached to a life of normalcy, after living his teenage years and most of his young adulthood under fame and glory. Surprisingly, he adapts quite naturally to the changing scenery, and enjoys it quite a lot. He thinks it's because his life as an idol was constantly moving and face paced, making it really nice when he'd gotten a two day weekend and a routine—waking up early, getting Dongsun ready for school, cooking (and a little bit of cleaning), picking up his son, playing with him, getting him ready for dinner and a video call at least once a day before he tucks him to bed.

With Park Chaeyoung being on the road, things were a little more difficult but he's thankful that his wife always makes time for him, regardless of what timezone just to check up on him and how he was feeling.

She's on her final leg of the world tour, on road from Sydney to Melbourne before doing a finally show back in Seoul.

He's been counting down the days, for a while now.

"Daddyyyyy!"

His thoughts, or more so, him missing his wife was interrupted by the sound of their son and he looks up to see the young boy who looks almost identical to his baby photos running to him with a painting in his hand.

"Look I draw our family!" He proudly holds out the painting of two stick figures, one with blonde hair and one with black, and a small kid beside him, "... do you think mommy will like it? I want to show her."

Jeon Jungkook smiles, matching the wide grin that his son was wearing.

"She will," he acknowledges, "... did you have fun at school? What's your homework for today?"

The young boy holds his fathers hand tightly as they make their way to the car, putting his backpack in the back seat as he helps himself into the booster seat as he puts on his seat belt.

"Daddy, we're learning about love stories. We need to tell the story about how our parents fell in love, or if not, our parents favourite love story," he explains matter-of-factly, "... how did you and mommy meet? And how did you know she was the love of your life?"

Jeon Jungkook makes his way to the front seat, doing a final check to make sure his son was secured before beginning their usual route back home.

He has a wide smile, "... hmm, it's been quite a while but I guess it's a good thing that this is my favourite love story."

"What is?" Dongsun asks confused, somewhat disappointed that he wasn't going to hear about the way his parents found each other.

At least, that's what he thought.

"The story of how your mommy won my heart, that's my favourite love story because it's not just pretend," he explains, "... one day when you fall in love, I hope it's with someone who makes you feel the way I felt when I met your mommy for the first time."

It's a rarity to meet a trainee from YG, undoubtedly one of the strictest, if not the actual strictness agency among South Korea. Jeon Jungkook pretty much knows every trainee by heart, both from his own company and others.

He'd heard about the BLACKPINK girls from Park Jimin, who lowkey had a crush on one of them.

"The BLACKPINK girls are coming," he reports proudly to the other young teenagers, "... be cool, don't embarrass yourselves!"

He scoffs, shaking his head at the hormonal teenage boy.

Jeon Jungkook wasn't really into dating, to be honest. But he loved to party, with his (guy) friends.

Yet somehow, a part of him is curious about them, seeing as how it almost feels as though they're always locked in a dungeon.

As the night passes, his interest dissipates into thin air, evaporating like nothing as he continues to drink and hang out with his friends, who were beginning to get a little rowdy.

He doesn't like it.

Jeon Jungkook hates that as young hormonal teenagers, they easily get carried away.

One of his friend in particular gets flirty and touchy when he's especially drunk, and so—he apparently gets too close to the wrong girl, small frame, tall with black hair because the sound of a loud slap suddenly resonates. Jeon Jungkook turns, seeing that another girl has her brows furrowed, arms across her chest.

She's smaller.

Yet her voice, something about her accent and tone felt like heaven to his ears.

"Don't touch her! She's not interested in you!" She spits out, yet somehow from afar, he thinks she sounds like an angel, "... I'll report you to the police if you go near her again!"

He takes a few steps closer, almost as though he's naturally pulled by her aura alone, noticing that she was brave enough to insult his much taller friend for hitting on one of her friends.

"Who are you? Her bodyguard? You girls don't even know each other!" The young boy, obviously drunk slurs.

Jeon Jungkook gets second hand embarrassment.

"Doesn't matter, whether I'm her friend or not, slave or boss, sister or stranger. Don't touch her, she doesn't like it!"

With that, the unexpected happens as the young teenage girl, with all her might holds two arms and pushes him aggressively.

Jeon Jungkook quickly rushes and holds her back, knowing that his friend can get aggressive.

"Okay, let's end it here, my friend doesn't mean it he's just not good with alcohol—" he tries to apologise and explain calmly, his eyes fixated on her as she turns in horror to see him, "... I'm sorry on his behalf."

"Get. Your. Hands. Off. Me!" She yells, more so screeches, as she squats his hand away from her, "... you both are perverts!"

"Wait, hold on—" he tries to explain before he watches as the girl turns back to the other girl holding her hand.

"Let's get out of here," she tells the other girl and before he could explain, the two girls rush off.

"What a fucking bitch," his friend curses.

Jeon Jungkook hits him in the stomach before walking off, wondering why even with all the alcohol, he can't get that feisty girl out of his mind.

And perhaps, it was destiny or fate that by 3am, he's walking back to the dorm and stops by the convenience store to get some ramen so that he can sober up.

He sees her, standing in the snack isle getting some chips and ramen too.

"You!" She acknowledges him, "... you pervert are you following me?"

He holds his hand out in surrender, "... no, I swear I'm not I'm just trying to sober up... it's all a misunderstanding."

She pauses, eyeing him from head to toe before she turns away, as if she didn't see him at all.

They meet again at the cash register when he realises that he'd left his wallet at the party, and he seems to notice.

"No money?" She asks from behind him.

He nods.

She puts her items on the counter before scanning her barcode, paying for his items.

"Thank you, I'll pay you back double tomorrow," he tells her.

The pair sit down on the bench eating ice cream and snacks, as she tells him about how she's a trainee from Australia in YG Entertainment. He tells her about himself too, and how he'll be debuting in the next year.

"Can I have your number? I'll pay you back when I get back to the dorm," he tells her as he they finish their meal.

"You can buy me my next meal," she finally responds after a momentary pause, "... let's meet here this time next week."

It was a date.

Sealed at the way he walked her back to the dorm, not before he threw up on the side of the road as she watched in horror.

He'd always wondered, how he managed to get a second chance, with a woman like her.

Truly one of a kind.

Park Chaeyoung misses them a lot, but she's too tired to complain.

Her husband promised to take them on a small family trip when she's back, a week after her birthday and just in time for her son's school holidays.

Yet, she has her head against the window as they drive to rehearsals, in her home city, Melbourne, yet she feels home sick for her son and husband.

"Chaeyoung, don't be sad," Lalisa Manoban holds her hand out and squeezes it tightly, "... you will celebrate it when you're back."

She sighs, looking at her screensaver which was a photo of the three of them before putting her phone away, "... I know, I just wished I could spend it with them, it'll be my first birthday spending it as a full family."

Lalisa Manoban shares a sympathetic smile before hugging the other girl, "... it'll go by fast."

The four girls walk into the venue, greeted by fans and flowers who begin wishing her happy birthday and singing to her as she gets inside. She begins to feel teary, wishing that she could share this moment with her son in particular.

As the sound check goes on, she reaches out for her phone to see a photo of her son in the car holding her light stick. She knows he brings it a lot to school, yet somehow she wonders why his booster seat wasn't the usual one she'd bought for him.

Perhaps, Jeon Jungkook bought him a new one.

She's wrong however, when at the end of the sound check, the girls (and fans) sing happy birthday to her.

As she turns around to look at the cake, she sees her husband and son holding the cake too.

"Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy birthday dear mommy, happy birthday I love you!"
