《My Savior - (A Donnie x reader Fanfic)》Chapter 17 - Little White Lie

You trudged lazily to class, your winter break had just ended and you did not want to be back at school. You walked into your class and sat in your usual seat, then pulled your books out. Your teacher barely welcomed you back before dumping a bunch of work on you and your fellow classmates.
You gently touched the turtle pendant hanging around your neck as your friend Tyler sat down in the vacant seat next to you. "Sup (Y/N)!" he yelled, pulling his books out. You looked up at him and smiled "oh hey Tyler"
You turned your focus back to your work before Tyler spoke up again. "Where'd you get that necklace?" he questioned, pointing to the bright green pendant. You smiled fondly, "my boyfriend got it for me for christmas"
Tyler looked at you quizzically. "Boyfriend? When did you get a boyfriend?" you tensed up and started stuttering. You couldn't just tell Tyler about Donnie's existence, so you lied "he lives just out of the city, you've never met him. He's friends with my older brother!" you managed to spit out.
Tyler nodded, turning his focus back to his work. You let out a sigh of relief as you returned to your work. You figured Tyler would probably stop asking about Donnie now, since he never really liked your brother, or his friends for that matter.
You returned your focus to your work, and before you knew it the bell had rang. Your head shot up as the all too familiar ringing filled the air, then you turned to pack your things into your bag.
Throughout the day your friends kept asking about your necklace, and you kept telling them the same story. Some people congratulated you on finally landing a boyfriend, some were upset that you hadn't told them sooner. You just shrugged and laughed about it.

Finally, the final bell rang, alerting you that you could finally leave. You gathered all your belongings and walked out the front doors to your school. You waved goodbye to your friends and began walking.
"Wait up!" you heard a voice call from behind you. You spun on your heels to see Tyler running to catch up with you. "Tyler?"
"Yeah! Where are you going?"
"Im getting picked up"
"By who? Your mom doesn't drive"
You nodded, explaining that a friend was coming to pick you up. Tyler looked at you in a playful manner "you mean your boyfriend?" he teased, wiggling his eyebrows at you. You giggled "no, Tyler" you retorted "just a friend"
You joked back and forth for a bit until Tylers ride pulled up. You waved as he drove away, then turned a corner and came face-to-face with the Shellraiser. You smiled and knocked on the heavy metal door, and it shot up, allowing you access to the heavily modified subway car.
"Ready to train" Leo asked, smiling. You nodded "when am I not?"
