《Easy (Complete) | WinRina》Part 3

Weeks have passed, The girl and Winter are still not talking completely with each other, heck they didn't even introduce themselves to each other yet. The girl is still dead silent and only looks at the window. Winter is planning on talking to her more and be friends with her because she knew something interesting is on the girl's attitude or life.
Many days have passed by, and I'm still figuring out how to approach this girl naturally without her being freaked our or seeing me as a creepy girl.
"Why do you look lost?" Yeji is beside me, we're all hanging out waiting for the other girls at the entrance.
"Nothing, they're just so slow." I said then space out again like I can't even control it anymore.
—
The girl beside me looks bored so I guess it's the perfect time to introduce myself? And know her name?
"Hey, uhm. I'm Kim Min Jeong, but you can call Winter." I offered her my hands, is it too straightforward? I hope she wont freak out.
"I'm Yoo Ji min, but you can call me Karina." She accepted my hand and gave a soft smile that could kill me, I mean, that could make me smile too? I guess.
"I dont know what to say now, but it's nice knowing your name. I hope we can be friends.." I smiled at her and she didn't answer after that and just nodded.
"Or more than friends." I mumbled that she seemed to heard, and now I want to be dead. Why did I even say that? Gosh, Winter.
—-
"It's my birthday this Saturday, I'll host a party in our house. Everyone in class is invited." Yeji stood up infront of the class after the professor left. The whole class celebrated like it's happening now. I hope my parents will agree about me going.
"Winter, bring Karina along." Yeji whispered at me and I looked at Karina who seemed to be interested in joining so I go to her place and sat next to her.
"Are you gonna join?" I asked her and we still have awkwardness between us, and that's okay.
"Am I invited?" She asked shyly. She looks like she's so much introvert than me.
"Of course, you heard what the birthday girl said. Join us. Can I pick you up?" I'm becoming bolder, but it's better than not being comfortable around her.
"Huh? It's fine, I can go there by myself." Ouch, first rejection. But who am I to surrender?
"Here, give me your number." I gave her my phone and she just typed the number without asking much.

"Winter, let's go!" Ryujin called me, I guess it's time to go home. I grab my things and run outside. But I stopped before passing through the door.
"Text me your address okay?!" I saw her nod and I ran to my friends.
"Since when did you become hyper and bold?" Ryujin asked me seriously.
"Well, shouldn't I be?" I chuckled and ran to my car. Giselle and Ryujin knows my personality back then, and it is coming back now. I guess I just needed Karina— i mean, I just needed some time for myself.
~~
Tomorrow is Yeji's birthday and I am now eating with my Parents. Mommy Sica has her eyes on me since earlier and I dont know why. It's kind of distracting, knowing she's kind of smirking too.
"Sweetie, don't you have something to tell us?" Mommy Sica asked. It's still early for class so I guess she decided to talk about something I don't know what. I don't know everything kekeke.
"Hm?" That's all I replied because Mommy Jess is so suspicious right now that even Mommy Taeng's attention is on me.
"Who's the girl that Ryujin's talking about?" She smirked?!?!?!?!?! What the—-
"What? You have a girlfriend now? Nice move, Minjeong-ah." Mommy Taeng gestured her hand as she wants to fist bump me so I did. Mommy Sica glared at her and she went back to being such a lost puppy.
"No, but I have a classmate and she's sitting next to me. She's like lost, her voice is full of sorrow the moment I heard it. But when we got close but not much, her smile and laugh just tells me otherwise. I just feel like I needed to be there because it feels like she'll breakdown soon? Or going to break?" I explained them, they nodded like they understand my point.
"Well, you have a nice heart honey. But remember to know what you're feeling first okay? Don't ever hurt someone's feelings." Mommy Taeng said.
"Well, I don't have that kind of feelings for her yet since we just got to know each other. But I care for her, so much." I remembered Karina's smile. It's like I'm seeing such an angel that went down here to make me happy.
"Yet." Both of them said while looking at each other. I just rolled my eyes while they're laughing so I excused myself to go to my room and grab my things. I feel something bad and just found myself grabbing a pair of pads and a pants then I left.
The whole ride I was thinking about why did I even get them since I just finished my period. But I just shrugged it off when I reached the school and I saw a banner at the gate about School Fair.

I left the car and went to my friends, they're talking about the school fair. I'm glad all of them are here because I won't really waste my time standing in the middle of the sun waiting for their lazy ass.
"Yeji, I wanna ask if we'll be drinking tomorrow?" Lia asked. Everyone got excited except from me. I just gave up on the thought of drinking. Let's just say, I kinda don't do that anymore?
"Yep, if only you're allowed to. Do you all want to sleepover after the party? You know, we might get tipsy and won't be able to go home." Yeji requested and we are all up for it.
"Winter, ask Karina if she wanted to join us for sleepover too." She caught me off guard. They all probably saw me blush after hearing her name.
"I will." The moment I said that, I saw Karina walking like 10 meters away from us.
"Excuse me for a minute guys." I heard them chuckling and cheering me while I am running towards her, why is she walking fast?
"Hey." She stopped walking and her breathing gets really heavy. I let her breathe first before talking. Her face is covered with her hair.
"You know, you really shouldn't cover your beautiful face. Let the world see the beauty of it." I brushed her hair to the back of her ear. Then I noticed a light bruise on her eyebrow. She noticed that I saw it and quickly hide her face again.
"I'm sorry. Here." I took out a band aid outside my bag that has a blue car design and put it on her eyebrow. The bruise seems so fresh, I wonder what happened. But I thought I shouldn't ask because she might get uncomfortable. I can see that we are gaining attention around us through my peripheral vision.
"Hey, the group wants to ask if you want to stay and have a sleepover with us after the party?" I asked her while we're walking. I can still feel the gaze of the students around us. But I decided ignore it and focus on the beautiful woman beside me.
"Sure, I already asked my mom if I can go. She agreed." How about her dad? Well let's just not think about it Winter. Or you might trigger something in her that'll make her be away with u.
"Okay, cool. Don't forget that I'll pick you up tomorrow okay?" She nodded and smiled at me. I can hear my friends behind me since we're infront of the classroom already.
"Class, No classes for today. We all have a meeting. But I'll leave this on the desk." She put the bottle full of crumpled paper inside. Looks like we're gonna choose something from there.
"And it'll be your designated seat for the whole year." I am not scared that I might choose the wrong paper and not sit next to Karina. I don't wanna be away from her.
The class stood up one by one choosing the seat they were assigned to and all of them are arranging it now. When it's Karina's turn, everyone is laughing. There is a blood stain on her pants. My blood boils at the thought of them laughing at her.
"What? Is it the first time you've seen blood?" The laughing continues but I am proud of her for standing up for herself. Still, I can't take it.
"Guys, enough. That is too much. You shouldn't be laughing at her from having a blood stain. In fact, you should be helping her." I exclaimed. I don't know why I am mad about it but I just stood up and took her hand, I took her to the girls CR.
"Do you have spare pants?" She shook her head. Now I know why I brought a pad and pants.
"Wait here." She just stood there and really wait for me while I took the pads and pants to give it to her.
"Here." She accepted it in hesitant.
"Thank you, Winter." She smiled but I know she's still embarrassed about what happened.
"Wanna have lunch later?" I talked while waiting for her to change everything she needed to change.
"Uh, okay." She agreed, finally. I never saw her eat lunch ever since. She went out and I saw my pants perfectly fits her legs.
"Thank you, really." I just smiled at her and walked with her to the classroom.
"Nice save." Ryujin told me. All of them has their own world since it's our free time. Karina just sat down on her usual seat.
"Anyway, we pick the seat for you both." Yeji spoke and handed us the piece of paper. I looked at Karina's paper and we're seatmates? How?
"Did you—?" They didn't let me finish and just nods. They purposely pick the paper that is next to each other that is why. Hmm supportive friends I have here.

Toothpick
“Hello! My humble audience! I, the Bard of the North, am going to tell you a tale. Nothing new, nothing old. A story of a hero, some may say, others a poor boy who was hated by the world.” The storyteller paused as he waited, right timing was everything when telling a story. Pacing… Too slow and the audience became bored then left without tossing even the smallest of coins. If he spoke too fast and rushed the story. It would leave the audience confused and having no reason to be impressed. So like any good storyteller, the Bard has to do a balancing act of sorts. Not too slow, not too fast. Just perfectly in the middle. “In a shattered country in the south, a novice princeling has the ambition to mend a torn tapestry that is his birthplace. Struggling to fend off those who would usurp the throne in an unending civil war spanning centuries. A mercenary that left only death in his wake, unable to stave off the monotony and peace of life. He looks back at the path laden with bodies, wondering if it was all worth it. Wandering souls summoned by a madman, travel away from a wasteland in a foreign land, the first alone, the others as companions. A deity, ancient in her years, waiting to be freed from a duty she no longer enjoys. For all these people and their stories, none are the hero of this tale. No, the hero is not grand, not wise, not ready.. he was punished for nothing of his doing, who was an outcast that was unloved by many, including his father.” This was always the big reveal novices use to jump off into their story. He did not start here, instead, like any good fishermen, he set the bait and waited until the fish bit before pulling. As he saw the audience's eyes focus, he then started the backstory. The harness, that stopped the listeners from having metaphorical whiplash. The foreshadowing. “But that is not where the story starts. No, not even the hero's birth. Where the story begins, is the boredom of the deity, a deity many know of. She who hunts for the impossible, the guide for those who have lost the path, the Huntress of Mallon--” A small pause, a short breath. “--All old names for a single powerful being that has roamed the grounds of this continent longer than any line of kings or queens, lords or ladies. A being of worship for many an individual…” One last breath. And he began singing the first verse.
