KARINA

Finally, winter is fully recovered. It is like long. Our lives went back to normal. Well her birthday is coming up. I was at work with a kpop group called, nmixx. they do know my relationship with winter. I'm so stressed I have no idea what to get for winter for her birthday.

One of the members asked,

"Hey, are u ok?"

I sighed and said,

"No, my wife's birthday is coming up. I have nothing in mind of what to do?"

They poured in different ideas. My favourite one is from haewon,

"Singing with a guitar. Take her on a date. Memory lane."

I decided to do that. They decided to help me train my singing and pick out a song. I am kinda shocked, I never knew I could sing. They chose a song I would sing

Taeyeon and Irene agreed to do this with me. I have prepared this forever. It was finally the day. I held Elise's hand with winter holding the other one of Elsie. Elise was laughing happily when we started lifting her up and down.

Winter and I made eye contact for a moment. She softened her gaze, it reminded me of how I fell for her. We went to a park first. We walked together. Elise suggested that. I have no idea why but we did.

She wanted to play basketball together. Winter learned it when she was younger. She through it into the hoop so cooly. It gave me butterflies.

It was dinner. It was showtime. Elise had to go to home to complete homework with Ben nd they always play with each other. If only they weren't related in blood. I would have shipped them.

Taeyeon agreed me to send winter to teh beach while prepare myself.

Taeyeon passed me a blindfold,

"Wear this, Karina has a surprise."

I reluctantly wore it. She guided me to a place. Wind blew through my hair, letting me enjoy this moment. When I took it down, I saw Karina from a distance. She made eye contact with me. She started playing the guitar as she sang,

She started walking to me and held my hand. We walked together with our hands interlined. I smiled at her thoughtfulness. We sat down by the beach admiring the view. She said while kissing my hand,

"Happy birthday baby. In fact, I have a gift for u!"

She took out a box, when I opened it, it was a necklace, with a K.

She smiled happily as she took out another one with a W. She said,

"Remember, I am always with u. No matter u are. Even our afterlife, although we might not be together anymore I am always with u. The necklace says so. K is for Karina. W is for winter...do u like it?"

I smiled as tears welled my eyes,

"No, I love it. Thanks baby..."

We spent some time at the beach then head back home just in time before Elsie sleep. She begged me to tell her a story.

I sighed and said,

"Fine, so what story do u want?"

She thoughts and said,

"How did u and mommy meet?"

I gave her a small chuckle. And said,

"Of course, your mommy loves me first. Well, I was a new kid in a high school. My friend showed me around the school. She had 2 other friends, aunty aeri and your mommy. Well, aunty aeri and aunty Ning Ning are together. So, your mommy spent time together more and more often. Your grandfather also my father, he treated me badly, so u don't see him anymore. Afterwards, I liked a boy but then I realised I fell for your mommy instead. She got into a car accident that time. I was worried sick for her. Well after 8 years together, I married her..."

She looked at me eagerly. I smiled and shuffled her hair and kissed her forehead,

"Goodnight sweetheart."

I switched off the lights and closed the door just to find Karina outside hearing our conversation. I chuckled, she smiled and said,

"Hey, u should have said u confessed first. Don't make me sound heads over heels for u."

I nudged her. She said,

"Well, I waited for u to love me back and u fell for me. how awesome is that?"

I chuckled. We went to our bedroom, we weren't tired yet. We decided to watch a movie. I suggested,

"How about a horror movie?"

She shook her head. I laughed,

"I promise, not a scary one."

We ended up watching train to Busan. She hugged my arm and his her face repeatedly at my neck. I always laughed at that. I tickled her to make her feel better. I saw tears around her eyes. I hugged her and said,

"I am sorry I made u cry...we should off it, shouldn't we?

She sniffed and nodded cutely. We laid in the bed together. She spooned me. I patted her head repeatedly until I hear some snorings from her. I smiled and thought,

"You are not wrong. I ended up falling for u when u wanted me to love u back..."
