As I look up all I see is sadness within your eyes.

Eyes dull yet full of life.

It plays over and over in your mind from time to time.

With the occasional wave of sadness, though the source unknown.

It still haunts you in your sleep every night

You still cant seem to shake them.

The things you once feared still get to you in your dreams.

They wouldnt leave. Still to this day you've killed most of them but they still remain.

Now things have gotten better. Sure you're still struggling but that's okay

because one day you'll be able to tell yourself how proud you are that you made it here to this day.

That you're happier than before

Eyes no longer filled with sadness and shame nor sore.

Sure

You are still hurting

but it's a bitter sweetness that you're yearning.

You'll get there soon enough with due time

So it's fine.

Treat yourself like the queen, king, anything in between, that you are.
