Day of Initiation

Ichigo was nervous. Both about going to school and about the initiation. He arrived in this world not even a week ago and yet he was about to take an initiation to enter a school that teaches things that he probably has no idea about. That may complicate things. And so, Ichigo's spent those two days just researching even more. He woke up early, found the public library, and read. Even with this prep, he was still nervous about scoring terribly. However, since this was a combat school, he hoped there was some kind of physical test. He would be able to school pretty well, if not perfect, on any physical test. If there even was one. If not, then he just hoped that all his researching paid off on the written portion.

How wrong he was. Currently, Ichigo is on an airship that will take him to Beacon. A hologram of Glynda appears towards the front of the airship.

Glynda: "Hello Ichigo, and welcome to Beacon. As you know, my name is Glynda Goodwitch. You have been chosen to attend this prestigious academy. Our world is experiencing an incredible time of peace and as a future Huntsman, it is your duty to uphold it. Professor Ozpin and I will be waiting at the entrance of the school. From there, we will take you to the area where your initiation will be conducted. We wish you the best of luck." The hologram disappears.

It hadn't occurred to him, but the more she talks to him, the more familiar she gets. Like her name for instance.

Ichigo (thoughts): 'Glynda... Where have I heard that name before? I swear I have- OH SHIT! I REMEMBER NOW! It was the name of that little girl I saved...! Wait... If that's the same girl I saved, then... I've been to this world before!? No, no, no, it's probably just a coincidence. Not a lot of people have green eyes like the little girl... Shit, that lady had green eyes. Ok, don't panic Ichigo. Fuck, could it just be another person named Glynda who also has green eyes? No, that's way too convenient for my life! Ok. Just think. I was invading the Soul Society when I tripped and landed in the World of the Living. Or so I thought. I never did investigate the area. I just assumed that I landed in the World of the Living, but there was a door that led back to the Dangai. But I landed in here through the Garganta instead of the Dangai. Maybe it works differently? If you fall in the Garganta, it's a one-way trip here. No coming back. Maybe... I'm not sure, agh! But then again, I accidently came here twice. The second time I saved a girl with blonde hair and a girl with a red hood. Kinda like the people back in the... SHIT! THERE WAS A GIRL WEARING A HOOD AND A BLONDE GIRL WITH PURPLE EYES, JUST LIKE THE KIDS I SAVED! Then that means that they are the same? But... that means that time here is way different! Great. Just fucking fantastic. Thank god Glynda didn't recognize me. Hopefully the other two don't either. It could be disastrous if they somehow recognize me. I'll just say she's crazy. How could I look like the guy who rescued you all those years ago? Wouldn't I age? Didn't he have orange hair? Yeah, questions like that will prove I'm not him, even though I am... Just... try not to pay too much attention to this issue unless they recognize me.'

The airship lands and Ichigo's train of thought is broken. He goes out, making his way, and gazes at the school.

Ichigo: "Huh. This school seems impressive." he says with a tone of awe.

In front of the school, Ozpin and Glynda were standing there waiting for their new student to arrive.

Ichigo: "Hey Oz, Glynda." He casually addresses them, but this makes her eyebrow twitch.

Glynda: "It's Professor Goodwitch to you, Mr. Kurosaki." she states with a stern look on her face while pushing her glasses up.

Ichigo: "Oh really? Then why does Super Kami Draco keep referring to you as 'Glynda' in the dialogue?"

Glynda: "What the... What are you talking about, Mr. Kurosaki?"

Ichigo: "I... don't know? Why did I say that?" he says confused.

Ozpin: "Regardless to whatever that was, follow me, Mr. Kurosaki. I will take you to the initiation."

Ichigo quickly follows while Glynda heads off in a different direction.

3rd Person POV

In the cafeteria

Yang: "What'cha doin'?" she says to her teammate Blake.

Blake: "Nothing. Just looking over notes from last semester." She comments as she closes her book.

Yang: "Laaaaame!"

Suddenly, an announcement is... well, announced.

Glynda (intercom): "Attention all students and faculty! If you wish, go to the auditorium. A new student is about to start their initiation and you may watch their progress there. We normally don't let students enter this late, but we have made an exception for this one. Have a good day."

A wild Ruby appears, seemingly out of nowhere.

Ruby: "Guys! Guys! Let's watch the new student, come on!" she says barely containing her excitement.

Yang: "Yeah girls! Let's watch this new guy!" she answers.

Blake and Weiss both look at each other with the same question in their minds as to they these two wanted to go so badly.

Blake: "Why are you so excited?"

Yang/Ruby: "What if it's a guy and he's smoking hot!?/What if he's got this awesome weapon!?" they say at the same time.

Too bad the other two didn't know they were lying. The real reason was different.

Flashback

Ruby/Yang: "WHAT!?" they both said, obviously surprised they might have a cousin. "What do you mean!?"

Qrow: "Well, here's what happened..."

Flashback within a Flashback. Flackback-ception.

Ichigo just left the police station and Glynda is staring daggers in Ozpin's direction, but not because of Ozpin.

Ozpin: "I'll call him." He simply states as he grabs his scroll and texts Qrow. 'Need to call. Very important.' he types.

Glynda: "When I see him, he won't be ABLE to make children anymore." she angrily says as she leaves the police station.

Ozpin (thoughts): 'Sorry Qrow. You're on your own. Hell hath no fury like a woman's scorn. Especially hers, buuuut you deserve it.' he thinks with a smile.

A few minutes later

Ozpin's on an an airship that's taking him back to Beacon when he receives a phone call.

Qrow (scroll): "Oz, what is it? What's so important that you had to text me to call you?" he wonders.

Ozpin: "You have a son." he says bluntly.

...

...

...

Qrow: "Ok Oz. Get serious here. Why did you call me?"

Ozpin: "I am serious Qrow. You have a son. I just talked to him and his mother described you perfectly. He said he never grew up with a father. He was then orphaned when his mother died protecting him from Grimm. Did you know, Qrow?" he asks seriously.

Qrow: "Are you serious Oz? Are you absolutely serious? Are you saying that I, Qrow Branwen, have a son!?"

Ozpin: "Yes."

Qrow: "Are you absolutely sure!?"

Ozpin: "Not many people can describe you perfectly while also looking almost exactly like you."

...

Qrow: Oh god. How!? Why!? Who was it!? Sophia!? Emma!? Olivia!? Ava!? Isabella!? Mia!? Zoe!? Lily!? Emily!? Madelyn!? Madison!? Chole!? Charlotte!? Aubrey!? Avery!? Abigail!? Kaylee!? Layla!? C-" Qrow says rapidly, already accepting that he has a kid since Ozpin never screws around and takes everything seriously. It also didn't help that he has been having sex even since he entered Beacon. Actually, even a bit before then with some of the girls in the tribe.

Ozpin: "Qrow. Look, as soon as you're done with your work, come over and meet him. He will be taking the initiation in two day. Do you want me to tell him or not?"

Qrow: "...No. I'll tell him when I get there. Does Glynda know?" he asks with fear in his voice.

Ozpin: "She does, but you deserve it."

Qrow: "...Yeah, I know. I didn't know, Oz. I didn't. But it still doesn't excuse what I did to that kid. Maybe his mother would still be alive if I'd been there. I guess my sexual adventures finally got to me, damn it..."

Ozpin: "It isn't your fault. She didn't tell you. Probably because by the time she found out, she couldn't find you." he guesses.

Qrow: "Yep, you're probably right. Do you think he'll hate me when he finds out?"

Ozpin: "I'm... not sure. I still don't know him well enough." he answers truthfully.

Qrow: "Alright. I'm gonna call Ruby and tell her and Yang. Later Oz." he says as he hangs up.

Flashback-ception Over

Qrow: "And that's what happened." he says, ending his story.

Ruby: "Are you saying that the guy we met yesterday is my cousin?"

Qrow: "Yeah."

Ruby: "That's... AWESOME! We gotta tell him and introduce the family and-"

Yang: "Ruby. Yes, it's nice we've got more family, but right now, I'm kinda mad at you, Uncle. I mean, he didn't even have a father AND his mother is dead. He just wandered Remnant, not really having a goal. I know it wasn't your fault, but still. He's probably going to punch you when he finds out." she says with red eyes and clenched fists.

Qrow: "Yeah, he probably is. Look, don't tell him about us being related to him, okay?" he requests.

Ruby: "WHAT!? Why!?"

Qrow: "I want to tell him. He'll probably get angry at me. If he does, I'll just let him hit me. I deserve it anyway."

Ruby, as well as Yang, has a look of understanding.

Ruby: "Alright, but you better get here quick!" she says with a cute little pout.

Yang: "I agree with Ruby on that."

Qrow: "Anyway, I just wanted to tell you guys that in case you wanted to meet your cousin."

Ruby: "Heck yeah I do! Yang?" she asks her sister with a smile.

Yang: "Yeah. I want to meet this cousin of ours as well."

Original Flashback over

Blake looks at Weiss, who merely shrugs.

Weiss: "It's not like we have anything better to do." she says as she gets out of her seat.

Blake sighs and gets out of hers, following her team to the auditorium.

Auditorium

Team RWBY arrives and sees Team JNPR across the room, going over and sitting next to them.

Ruby: "Hey guys! You gonna watch the new guy too?"

Jaune: "We figured it'd be a good opportunity to see what kind of person shows up in the middle of the year like this."

Ichigo's POV

Beacon Cliffs

Ozpin: "Ichigo, this platform will launch you into the Emerald Forest. After you land, make your way to the northern end. You will meet opposition along the way. Do not hesitate to kill everything in your path or you will indeed die. You shall be monitored and graded for the duration of your initiation. We will not intervene. You will find an abandoned temple at the end of the path containing a relic. Grab it and return to the cliff. You will guard that item, as well as your standing, as we will grade you appropriately. Are there any questions?"

Ichigo: "Is there a written portion?" he asks while standing on the platform.

Ozpin: "No." he puts bluntly.

Ichigo runs a hand through his hair and sighs.

Ichigo (thoughts): 'All that time wasted...'

Ozpin: "Any other questions?" Ichigo says nothing. "Good luck."

Ichigo's immediately launched through the air, although he's not too worried.

Ichigo (thoughts): 'Ah, this fresh air feels nice. Feels like I'm flying again.'

In the Auditorium

Jaune: "Is he going by himself?" he asks concerned.

Nora: "OHHH! What if he makes pancakes!?"

Ren: "Nora. *sigh*"

Pyrrha: "I have to agree with Jaune. Is it just him?" she asks, surprised that the new student was going alone.

Weiss: "That's dangerous! Going with a team is dangerous in itself, but going by yourself? That doesn't stack well in his favor..."

Blake: "Wait, isn't that the guy that was on the dock?"

Back with Ichigo

Ichigo quickly Flash Steps to the ground and starts heading north. As he does, he notices no Grimm.

Ichigo (thoughts): 'Is luck on my side today or something?' He questions himself as he walks through the woods. 'Man, I still can't believe I wasted all that time studying to get into this school. I have the worst lu-' His train of thought is interrupted as he sees a clearing and an abandoned temple in front of him. 'Guess not.'

He walks inside the abandoned temple and finds... a red rock?

Ichigo: "Seriously!? This is the relic? A rock!?... Don't question it. Just roll with it." he says to himself as he grabs it.

Suddenly, Ichigo hears growling all around him. He checks his surroundings and sees ten Death Stalkers surrounding him.

Ichigo: "...Shit."

In the Auditorium

Weiss: "There's no way that guy is going to make it."

Ruby: "Y-You don't know that! We just saw him teleport! He could use that to escape!" replies Ruby, not believing her cousin would die.

Pyrrha: "True... But right now, his chance at survival is very low. Besides, we don't know how far his teleport can reach."

Yang: "I think he'll make it!"

Ruby: "At least Yang and I believe in him!"

Jaune: "I just hope I don't see someone die today." he says while getting nauseous at the thought.

Back with Ichigo

Currently, Ichigo was running away from the Death Stalkers. He hadn't tried this move against a Grimm, so he decided that this was as good a time as any. He continues running until he sees a destroyed building up ahead and a destroyed bridge. He stops right in front of the bridge and turns around, unwrapping Zangetsu. He raises his blade over his head and unleashes his weakest nameless Getsuga.

Ozpin's POV

It took a lot to surprise Ozpin, but when he saw Ichigo launch an attack, cutting through the Death Stalkers like butter and creating a giant mushroom cloud, he was definitely surprised.

Ozpin (thoughts): 'Just how strong are you now and how strong will you become, Ichigo Kurosaki?'

3rd Person POV

In the Auditorium

Everyone who was watching was in utter shock, even Glynda.

Glynda: 'How? How did he do that!? He's able to create a Dust explosion of that magnitude!? It could only be Dust since he just teleported right in front of us... Even I don't know how to do that, and I'm a master of Dust Manipulation! Or... was it even Dust?... You've gained my attention further, Mr. Kurosaki.'

Teams RWBY and JNPR had similar thoughts to Glynda.

Ruby: "OH MY GOD! DID YOU GUYS SEE THAT!? HE HAS A FREAKING AWESOME SWORD AND HE JUST CREATED THE MOST AWESOMEST EXPLOSION I'VE EVER SEEN IN MY LIFE!" she exclaims super excited.

Weiss: "How was he able to do that!? I can't do that with my Dust, so how did he?" she says in disbelief.

Yang: "Oh HELL YEAH! Me and the new guy are going to get along just fine." she says with a crazed smile.

Jaune (thoughts): 'Don't mess with the new guy. Got it.' he thinks to himself as a nervous sweat glides down his face.

Pyrrha says nothing, but clearly has an impressed expression.

Nora: "REN! DID YOU SEE THAT!? HE HAS TO TELL ME HIS SECRET SO I CAN BREAK LEGS MORE AWESOMELY!" she exclaims with stars in her eyes, just like Ruby.

Ren and Blake's reactions were less noticeable, but still there.

Ren (thoughts): 'That's impressive. I wonder how he used the Dust to do that... Or is it Dust?' he thinks.

Blake (thoughts): 'Incredible. That kind of talent for Dust is inconceivable!'
