I woke up wrapped in jesses arms. I looked at my phone, and it was August 15. It was the day my best friend died. I put my phone back down and laid back down. It was only 2 in the morning. Jesse pulled me closer to his body. I closed my eyes and went back to sleep.
I have been texting Olivia all morning. Today is the day her best friend died, and I want to make sure she's okay. She hasn't been answering, and I'm starting to get worried. I then texted Jesse to see if he's heard from her. Neither answered. I was getting really worried. I then texted in the group chat asking if anyone's heard from her.
🚔District 21🚔
Me - Has anyone heard or seen Olivia? She isn't answering.
Marinia🥳 - No, why? What's wrong?
Jon👊🏼- I saw her with Jesse yesterday.
Elias😵- Yesterday saw her and Jesse leaving set. Looked like they where both upset.
Laroyce🙌🏼- did you check her apartment? Or even Jesses. From what we saw yesterday. They're close😉
Me- I'll go check. Thanks for the help guys. I'll text you all if I need anything.
Jason🚨- why what's even wrong?
Amy💙- Is she okay? What's wrong?
I then drove to Olivias apartment. I knocked a couple of times. No one answered. I used the extra key she gave me, and opened the door. I saw no one. I looked in every room. Then I walked back outside, I locked her door. I drove to Jesses apartment. I knocked once. No answer. I knocked again. Then a couple seconds later, the door swung open. I saw Jesse standing there looking at me, you could see he just woke up.
"What!" He said his voice still sleepy.
"Is Olivia here?" I asked panicking about where she is. After what happened the year I met her on this day. I'm not leaving her side all day.

"Yeah. Why? Is something wrong?" He asked with all the sleep wearing off. His eyes got big once he heard how my voice sounded.
"Can I come in. I need to be with her today?" I asked him. Slightly calming down since I knew where she was.
"Umm, sure. Yeah." He said while he opened the door more. "Want me to go get her up?" He asked while shutting the door.
"Yeah. If you don't care." I told him while sitting on the chair. He walked towards the bedroom
I walked into my room, I was so confused about what was going on. I saw Olivia still curled up under the blankets. I smiled at the sight. And then I sat beside her on the bed. "Olivia." I said while tapping her lightly. "Patrick's here." I told her she opened her eyes slightly, then shut her eyes again. She groaned. I laughed slightly. "Good morning." I told her and she opened her eyes. She then slowly sat up.
"Good morning." She said while she smiled. Her voice was groggy since she just woke up. She stuck her arms out like a little baby wanting to be held. "Please" she said while whining. I laughed slightly.
"Really?" I asked her while smiling. She nodded. I reached down and picked her up. She laughed as I did so. She put her legs around my waist. And her head resting on my shoulder. I smiled. Then I walked back into the living room with her. We both sat down on the couch. She was still wrapped on my body. Patrick smiled at us.
"Olivia, do you know what today is?" Patrick asked once we sat down. Olivia nodded against my shoulder. I looked at them both confused. What is today? "How do you feel about it. And we have work in an hour." He said while looking at her.

"I'm going to go get ready for work. Bye Jesse." She said while getting off my lap after she kissed my check. "Come on Patrick." She said while pulling him off the chair. They bother waved at me, she went and got her clothes and everything. I got up off the couch, and walked towards them. "Do you care if I take this? I can give it to you at work later." She asked with a pleasing smile.
"Yeah of course. I don't care. Bye guys." I told her returning the smile. She came over to me and kissed my check once more. Patrick was smiling at us. They walked out, I went to get ready for work, still wondering about what today Is? Why is Patrick so worried about her?
After we both walked towards our cars. We stopped in front of them. "So how are you doing today?" He asked while looking at me. I didn't answer. I just took another step closer, and he hugged me. I cried into his shoulder. "Come on, let's get you home." He said while guiding me to my car. I got in and drove to my apartment. Patrick pulled up right after me, we both got out and walked into my place, and went to my room. I got dressed, grabbed everything I needed. And did my hair.
I walked out and went to the couch. I sat down next to Patrick.
"So, what's on your mind?" He asked while looking at me.
"It's just everything. This is the hardest day of the year. It's way I don't have a family, and I lost my best friend. It's so hard for me to wrap my head around still. It was my fault, I caused this." I said laying my head on his shoulder. He wrapped his arms around me.
"Don't say that. You have a family. I'm your family. And you have a best friend. I am, and I'm sure if we call Marina, or Jesse. They will be sure to make sure you understand there your best friends. And everyone on set loves you. I know it's hard right now, and it's not your fault. I know it's hard, and this is where you have to let other people in." He said while hugging me. I smiled a little, today is going to be hard. I looked down at my phone seeing I hade many text. I still haven't checked it all morning.
"Sorry I didn't answer."I told him while looking at me.
"It's okay, I was just worried. We aren't starting anything are we?" He asked while looking down at my arms. I shock me head.

Lone: The Wanderer [Dropped Version (includes original draft of the rewrite's first volume)]
Nine-to-five. The daily grind. Life. Painful years of school. Working as a slave for some undeserving corporate big-wig. The monotonous life of unemployment. We all experience this in one way or another, and we can all conclude one thing: it's dull. Such a fact rings true even for the fabled Lone Immortus, a powerful nine-tailed Golden Foxkin. However, what would you do if your monotony was suddenly ground to a halt and you were thrown out of your comfort zone along with a young girl forgotten by time? Perhaps you might have done things differently, been more organised, immediately died, gained control of the world in a matter of days, but this is Lone's tale, not yours. Watching two insecure people struggle to survive and find their place in an unfamiliar land just might be enjoyable to witness. Who knows? One thing's for certain: it won't be an easy path for them to tread, and what could possibly be more entertaining than watching people endure hardships and grow? I know of at least eight gods that would answer with, 'Absolutely nothing.' I wonder, after seeing this journey from start to finish, how would you answer? [Goal of 2 chapters per week, the only exceptions being announced breaks or emergencies] A/N: This story is in the middle of a rewrite, so please forgive any noticeable plot holes and wonky chapter numbers. I am working on it every day, so understanding would be greatly appreciated. The new cover art is a courtesy of the very kind and talented ssddx. This novel is a participant in The Writer's Pledge
