《Meeting the Gangleader》Chapter 1

*Brittanys P.O.V*
I roll over in bed, my hand searching for the alarm clock that's ringing, letting me know it's time to wake up.
Slowly, my eyes open after about a minute of blind reaching, and I finally slam my hand down onto the off button.
I look at the time and sigh.
It's only 5:45am.
I don't understand why I get up so early for school.
It's not like I have anyone to even attempt to impress...
Because you at least want to act like you aren't that depressed.
I stretch, and slowly get force myself out of my warm and comfortable bed, already wanting to crawl right back into it and go back to sleep.
At least today is Friday and I can sleep in tomorrow.
Walking into my closet, I start shuffling through my clothing.
I grab my black ripped skinny jeans, my white t-shirt that I have worn way too much, and my slightly beat up black converse.
Grabbing a black sweatshirt in case I get chilly during the day, I walk in to the bathroom that's attached to my room.
What? I know that my outfit is extremely basic, but at least it's cute.
After turning the water to the perfect temperature, getting in, and washing my hair and body, I step out of the shower and dry myself off.
Then I quickly slide the clothes I picked out for myself on, and look in the mirror.
I stare at myself for a couple seconds and just laugh.
My wet and now curly hair is everywhere, I have black circles under my eyes from the left over makeup I had on yesterday, and my face is as red as a tomato.
Today is not going to be a good day.
Sighing, I walk over to the counter and turn on the hair dryer that I always have sitting on the counter plugged in.
Once it's at the correct temperature, I start to blow dry my hair.

When I'm done, I quickly put my hair in two French braids and smile at myself in the mirror, happy with the way my hair turned out.
With that, I turn around and walk out of my bathroom to finish (more like start) my makeup.
Sitting down at my vanity, I start looking through my makeup bag for my eye liner and mascara so that my blue eyes pop.
If I were to say anything nice about myself, it would be that I have big blue eyes, that are as blue as a clear blue sky.
I'm pretty happy with them.
Once I find my eyeliner and mascara, I quickly apply it, and grab my phone off of my bedside table, stuffing it in to my jacket pocket.
Walking in front of my full body mirror, I do a slow turn, and okay with my appearance, I walk out of my room and down the hall to my sister Karly's room.
I knock lightly and when she doesn't answer I barge in to her room, knowing she isn't awake.
"Wake up!" I scream and jump on her bed.
She jumps out of bed and whirls around to look at me, "What the hell was that for!"
I smile innocently at her.
"Good morning, sunshine. Looks like someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed."
She doesn't respond, and just glares daggers at me.
If looks could kill...
I get off of her bed and slowly make my way out of her room, never turning my back to her, scared at what she would do.
My sister have a pretty good relationship. We're always there for each other when no one else is.
Because of that, we're also pretty alike... And I know that when someone disturbs my sleep, I freak out on them, so theres no doubt in my head that Karly would attack me, given the chance.
Well she definitely isn't a morning person.
Once I am safely down the stairs, I walk in to the kitchen and start making eggs.

I make a little extra and put it in the fridge for my mom and dad.
'Aww, how sweet', is probably what you're thinking, right?
Well it's not sweet. I only do it so they don't hit Karly when I'm not home to protect her. I'd take a beating for her anytime or day.
And that is putting it in minimal detail.
After I'm done eating, and it's almost time to leave, Karly finally comes waltzing in to the kitchen like we have all of the time in the world.
She smiles at me, which I return the smile and slide her the food that I made for her.
"Thanks!" She says happily.
Eggs are her favorite breakfast food.
"You're welcome!" I say back cheerfully.
I mean, come on, it is Friday, and my girls and I are going to go clubbing later since Karly is going to be at her friends until Sunday morning.
I find every excuse I can to get her out of this house, especially when I'm not going to be here.
She doesn't need to be broken and depressed like me when she's only 14.
Damn, she's only 14 and she's already seen as much shit, if not more, than a person who is twice her age.
I clear my mind of those thoughts and think about going clubbing.
We might not be 21, but we do have fake ID's and we do know how to dress like we're older.
And hey, I know I should be worried about my grades, which I am because the sooner I graduate the sooner I can move out and take Karly with me, but everyone has to let loose once in awhile.
Everyone has problems (some worse than others) and it's never bad to just let them go and live a little.
It was just the parent situation that would be difficult.
My best friends, Alice and Rebecca, knew what they did to my sister and I, and they tried to help us as much as they can. Not that they can do much.
There was never a day that went by that we weren't scared to enter or leave the house, because we didn't want to run into our mom and dad.
I told my parent's I was going to be at Rebecca's tonight, and lets just say it took a lot of makeup to cover the consequences.
Shaking my head from my bad thoughts, I check the time.
It's 7:35!
We have to leave or were gonna be late!
I've never been late before!
"Oh my gosh! Kar, lets go! We're gonna be late!"
With that being said, we rush out of the kitchen, after I put our plates in the dish washer of course, and we rush out to my white BMW.
My BMW is white, but it has a black streak across the middle of it.
It's pretty hot.
Don't get me wrong, our parents did beat us, but they were also rich so they gave us as much money as we wanted so no one would think anything was off about our family.
I mean, money doesn't buy happiness, but it sure does feel better to cry in this than in a cheaper car.
I hopped in to my car, and unlocked Karly's door.
This car is basically my pride and joy.
"I never get sick of her new car smell," I say smiling as I take a deep breath of the air in my lovely car.
She just laughs at me and shakes her head, "It's not even new anymore!"
I shrug my shoulders and reev the engine, pulling out of the driveway as I take in how hot my car sounds.
"Damn that's sexy." I say, and Karly rolls her eyes at me.
Turning in the direction of our school, Winterbank Field High School, we speed our way there, not going over the speed limit by much, of course.

Hope you enjoy.
