《The Triplets' Guides (Reader Insert Version)》Mabel's Guide to Color

Mabel was laughing boisterously at the camera in her bedroom, while Dipper was trying to read a book, and (y/n) was having target practice with a blaster, aiming at a picture of Nathaniel on the wall.

Mabel finally stopped laughing, and put her hands on her hips.

"And that's Mabel's guide to laughing for an uncomfortable amount of time."

A wide grin suddenly appeared on her face.

"Oh, wait, here comes more!"

She started laughing once again, and Dipper shoved his book closer to his face in a rather annoyed manner.

Suddenly, Mabel was knocked to the ground by a pillow, which had been thrown at her face from the side.

"Ah, that's better" said (y/n), mostly to herself as she redirected her attention back to the picture of Nathaniel. She held up the blaster, aimed, and fired, managing to nail Nathaniel right in the nose, and creating a new hole in the wall.

"Today, Mabel's guide to...color!"

Mabel was now in the attic, but she was alone this time and the lights had been switched off. There was a projector set up in the middle of the room, and she had the remote to it in one hand.

"Ah, color. It's all around us!" Mabel was saying, as she flipped the presentation to the first slide.

It was a picture of Dipper in the car, his expression green from car sickness and his arms crossed over his stomach as he tried not to hurl.

"From the green of a nauseous triplet brother..."

She flipped to the next slide. It was a picture of Stan's nose, which had been zoomed in.

"...to the weird orange color of an old man's nose..."

She flipped to the third slide, which was a picture of (y/n)'s arm that had a sharp, prominent cut right in the middle with blood dripping out of it.

"...to the red of a triplet sister's scrape..."

Mabel flipped to the fourth slide, which was of Soos with his thumbs up in front of a toilet.

"...to the beautiful sky blue of toilet water."

Soos pointed excitedly at the picture.

"I'm in that one!" he exclaimed.

Mabel smiled.

"Yes you are Soos" she said. "But it wasn't always this way."

She flipped to the next slide, which was a black and white picture from the Great Depression of several solemn men standing in line. It was from a newspaper, and the heading below the picture read "When will the Depression End?"

"According to history, the whole world was black and white until color was invented by a magic wizard named Crayon-dalf the Fabulous!"

The slide afterwards was the exact same image, only some of the men's outfits had been colored in by a variety of crayons, and there was a doodle of a wizard taped in the corner.

Mabel then turned back towards the camera.

"What's your favorite color, Gravity Falls?"

Pacifica turned towards the camera.

"Hot pink."

Grenda thought for a little before finally coming up with an answer.

"Beige!"

Dipper had been trying to figure out something in the journal when Mabel asked him.

"Wendy" he said, not really paying attention. He then looked up in confusion. "Wait, what was the question again?"

Mabel made sure to have (y/n)'s full attention after interviewing Dipper.

"Red, like my blood" (y/n) said, staring at the camera with intense eyes, and a smirk on her face. "Or black, like my soul."

Soos was in the golf cart as he answered the question.

"Lasers" he replied immediately, before getting another idea. "Ooh! Or liquid metal! Does leopards count as a color?"

Wendy and her entire family were all sitting on the couch in their living room. Everything was plaid, from the walls and couch, to the Corduroys' matching shirts.

Wendy's arms were crossed over her chest.

"Flannel."

Nathaniel looked at the camera.

"Red, white, and blue."

"Like the American flag?" asked Mabel.

Nathaniel frowned.

"No, like the Union Jack, you twit."

"Ok ok" said Soos. "I've narrowed it down to aurora borealis, camouflage..."

Candy simply held up a poster to the camera with a specific blue and black pattern on it.

"Magic fission poster."

Gompers the goat bleated at the camera, which Mabel translated as "Burgundy."

Stan had been in his office when Mabel interviewed him.

"None" he said, as he closed a box on the floor. "I don't have a favorite color. I don't even like colors."

"Not even...rainbows?" asked Mabel.

Stan placed the box onto the counter, and locked it with a key.

"Beats me, I've never seen a rainbow."

"What?!"

Dipper, (y/n), Grenda, and Candy were now all sitting on a bed in the triplets' bedroom as Mabel was talking to them with a serious tone.

"Ok, guys, how can we get Grunkle Stan to see a rainbow?" she asked urgently. "I need ideas, people!"

Grenda was the first to talk.

"Sometimes, if I drink expired milk, I see rainbows!" she exclaimed. "I'm gonna try it right now!"

She took out a jug of expired milk, and started to chug it down, the white liquid dripping down her chin.

Meanwhile, Candy took out a piece of paper, and started to scribble on it, before showing it to the camera.

"What if we reflect the rainbow from the Falls into Stan's window?" she suggested, showing the camera her plans.

Dipper high fived her excitedly.

"Yeah!"

"Yeah!" said (y/n), pumping her fist up into the air with an overly excited grin on her face. "Reflecting a rainbow of pure light directly into Stan's unsuspecting eyeballs. What could possibly go wrong?"

"Yeah!" said Grenda, finally finishing the last of the milk, before falling onto the floor unconscious.

Candy didn't even seem fazed.

"It's fine" she reassured. "She does this."

Mabel placed the camera in Stan's dark office, and turned it on.

"Alright" she told it. "We're about to unleash the power of the ROYGBIV-itron into Stan's office."

Dipper and (y/n) were outside holding a giant mirror in the back of a truck near the waterfall, both of them with a pair of sunglasses over their eyes.

Candy was standing in front of them.

"Ok, direct it downwards at approximately twenty three degrees...now!"

At her command, Dipper and (y/n) directed the rainbow with the mirror with her exact measures.

Stan was now in his office, starting to make his way towards the closed blinds.

"Nothing brightens a dark room like light from a window" he was saying, as he reached outwards towards the blinds. "Time to open the windo-"

The blinds flipped upwards, and Stan was met face to face with a blindingly bright rainbow.

"Aaaaaahhhhh!"

He screamed in pain, and feel backwards onto the floor, with one hand twitching as it reached upwards.

"Why?! Why is this happening?!"

Mabel jumped out of her hiding place with a pair of sunglasses over her eyes.

"Surprise!" she said cheerfully.

"Aaaaah! My eyes are on fire!" Stan screamed, as his legs started to kick into the air. "It's so hot it hurts!"

Mabel frowned, finally realizing the error in their plan.

"Maybe we overdid it a little bit..." she said, as the items on Stan's desk caught on fire.

The Pines family was now in the living room. Stan was sitting in the sofa chair, while Dipper and (y/n) were busy trying to wrap the bandages around his eyes.

"Get those bandages good and tight!" Stan ordered. "I'm not giving my life savings to some quack doctor."

"Grunkle Stan, you can trust us" (y/n) reassured confidently. "I am a state licensed D.C.Sc."

Stan breathed a sigh of relief.

"Oh good. Someone who actually knows what they're doing."

Then, he suddenly frowned skeptically.

"Wait a minute, doesn't that stand for Doctor of Computer Science?"

"That's it for this week" said Mabel cheerfully to the camera. "Join us next time for Mabel's guide to apologizing to your great uncle."

"Where I'll be an honorary guest on that episode" (y/n) said.

Dipper frowned at her.

"You've never apologized to Stan in your entire life."

Stan suddenly raised his fist up into the air angrily, causing Dipper and (y/n) to jump back.

"I hate color more than ever!" he shouted.

In response to that, Mabel just laughed.

"He's just saying that" she said, before turning towards the camera man with wide eyes.

"Cut, cut it!"
