"You don't seem to excited about it."
I quickly shook my head. "No, I am I am. I just can't believe it. Like, we're really about to be high school graduates in a year."
"I swear!" Kenz chimed in from the backseat. "All this morning I was thinking to myself, like, we're really about to be visiting colleges this weekend."
Although I had a clear idea of what school I wanted to go, my mom, Kenz, and I were heading to Texas tonight to check out its' campus tomorrow. After Texas, we were visiting the college that Kenz wanted to go to in Louisiana.
I also wanted to go to a college in Louisiana, but I've been leaning a lot more towards Texas recently.
"My girls are about to be seniors in high school, and then freshman in college. That's crazy." My mom shook her head. "I can't wait to have a home to myself."
Kenz and I both scoffed at the same time. "You know you're going to miss us bugging you 24/7."
"You guys are still going to be bugging me 24/7 even being hours away."
"I'm glad you know that."
As the conversation died down, my phone vibrated in my hand. Looking down, I seen that it was a text from my baby.
🧸🖤
🧸🖤
Knowing him, he and Amere were probably posted up on his car in the student parking lot, looking like lost puppies without McKenzie and I.
Poor babies.
Honestly, I thank God for Angel every night. This young man has been such a blessing in my life and opened my eyes to so many things I never knew existed about myself. Never would I have imagined that I would love somebody the way that I love him.
And the best part about it is that he loves me just as much in return.
Pulling up to school, Kenz and I grabbed our things and climbed out of the car.
"I'll be home by six so we can leave as soon as I get there. Make sure you guys go straight home after school, pack up everything you need for the weekend because I'm not turning around once we head to the airport."
"Okay, ma."
She raised her eyebrow at the both of us. "Okay. Don't say I didn't warn you girls. Have a good day at school. I love y'all, and I'll see y'all later."
"Love you too."
"Love you too, mom."
Waving good-bye, we made our way into the school after showing the security guard our student ID's.
"Mere said they're in the student parking lot." Kenz informed me even though I had already figured.
I nodded. "I thought so. Come on."
A smile instantly formed on my face when I saw Angel's long-body leaning against his car just as I had thought he would be doing. He finished up his conversation with whoever he was talking to and then turned in my direction.
"Wassup, ma?" He grinned, pulling me in for a hug and a kiss.
My smile dropped seeing the worrisome look on his face. "What's wrong?"
"Wha- why- ain't nothin' wrong. Why you askin' that?"
"Why are you stuttering then?"
"'Cause you caught me off guard wit' that question."
I pursed my lips, but decided to let it go. "Okay."
"Jus' chill, mama." He leaned me against his car.
Nodding, I tried to let it slip my mind as we all engaged into conversation while heading into school.

"Mrs. Dicapriooooo." I greeted my favorite teacher.
Mrs. D was my girl. After everything happened, she made sure to brighten my days even when I didn't need it. For that, I'll always be thankful for her.
She was definitely my school mom, without a doubt.
"Hey, Dri." She looked at me with the same look Angel gave me this morning. "They want you down in the principal's office."
I furrowed my eyebrows. "Am I in trouble?"
"No. They just want to talk to you about something."
"Oh... okay. Do I go now?"
"Yea, you can drop your things off and head down there now."
Doing as told, I laid my things down on my chair and headed downstairs. In the process, I texted Angel, Kenz, Amere, and I's groupchat.
💛
I was surprised to see that McKenzie was already occupying one of the chairs.
"What the hell did you do, bitch?" She asked me as soon as I walked in.
I shook my head, laughing. "I didn't do shit. Why are you down here?"
"I don't know. My teacher just told me they wanted me down here."
"Mrs. D told me the same thing. Shit, maybe it has something to do with graduation."
"Oh true."
I sat down next to her. "How long have you been waiting?"
"Just like five minutes."
Before I could say anything else, our principal came out of her office, signaling us to come in. Kenz and I gave each other the same look once we noticed ma was in the office too.
"Ma, what's going on?" I asked her, taking the seat next to her.
She shook her head. "Everything's okay, sweetie. It's just something that needs to be talked about."
"Are we in trouble?" Kenz asked.
"No, nobody's in trouble." Mrs. Bru answered, taking her seat. "Just as your mom said, it's just something that needs to be addressed and talked about."
I slowly nodded. "Okay."
"Alright. As we all know, you were involved in something that Miami Beach Senior High School does not take lightly." Mrs. Bru started. "At all. Repercussions were already taken, but it's not news that the sentencing was not super long. I'm not sure if you're aware, but everybody set bail."
We all nodded because we did know. It wasn't news to us, we just tried not to think about it too much. It doesn't need to be thought about.
They don't need to be thought about.
"A part of their bail agreement was some probation time given, as well as them having to go back to school and graduating with a diploma."
"They ain't coming back here." Kenz spoke up, my mom quickly laying her hand on her leg as a way to calm her.
She hadn't let go of my hand since Mrs. Bru started talking.
"They actually are coming back here-"
"Why?" I interrupted. "After all that happened, why are they coming back here? Isn't that, like, not allowed or something?"
Mrs. Bru took a breath. "It's allowed only because there was no restraining orders or anything of that sort put against them. Because they've been here for the past three years, it's easier to get them back into our system and have them continue their credits to graduate. On top of that, since Adrian is going to have to wear an ankle monitor, and this is the closest school to his home, it's easier for the police to keep track of that."

"Not to be rude, but I really don't care about what's easy for them." I scoffed. "I care about what's easier for me, why does no one else care about that?"
"We do, Audriana. That's why we are going to get through this together. You have support from everyone in this building."
Not even bothering to argue back and forth, because obviously things were already in place, I just shook my head and kept quiet.
"They will be back the week before school is out, but they will catch up with their classes in summer school so the good thing is you won't have to see much of them this year."
I stayed quiet.
"I know this is devastating to hear-"
"I'm not devastated." I shook my head. "I'm beyond irritated, but I'm not devastated. If they have to come back here then so be it, but I can't promise that I'm going to keep my words, feelings, and my hands to myself."
Kenz looked over at me. "I'm definitely not keeping my hands to myself. Dayna, Nicole, and whoever else can get it if need be."
"As much as I understand where that anger is coming from, we still do not condone fighting and we can not make it okay for any reason. I'm sure they will stay out of your way because with their probation, they can not get into any trouble inside or outside of school." Mrs. Bru tried to assure. "But, of course, we do not condone bullying or harassment of any kind so if you ever feel that is coming from their end, bring it to us and we will handle it. Most importantly though, Audriana, how are you feeling about this?"
I shrugged. "She won't be back in the classes we had together, will she?"
"Absolutely not. We will make sure that we work it out as much as we can to keep them out of classes with you, McKenzie, Angel, and Amere."
Kenz and I kind of chuckled to ourselves.
"Oh yea, we've heard." Mrs. Bru laughed too. "We want to avoid any trouble and we want to make this as easy for you guys as possible. We will do our very best to even keep you guys out of passing of each other, no shared lunch hours, no lockers in the same vicinity of each other. Nothing of that sort."
I nodded. "Okay."
"Okay?" My mom asked, looking over my face for some sort of confirmation to see if I was really "okay" or not.
I shrugged again. "Yea. Okay. As long as they stay out of our way, then there's no issues."
As we finished up with Mrs. Bru, my mom decided to sign us out of school early, but first we had to go back to class to get our things.
I noticed the sympathetic look on Mrs. D's face so I gave her a reassuring smile.
"My mom's signing me out early."
She smiled back at me. "Okay. Mind if we talk for a sec, first?"
"No, let me just grab my things."
"Continue with your notes, class. I'm going to step outside for a second." Mrs. D announced before I followed her outside. "How you feeling about everything?"
I chuckled a bit. "I'm okay. Like I told Mrs. Bru, as long as they stay out of our way then there won't be any issues. Once we cross paths, I can't make any promises that my anger won't kick in and that I won't lash out."
"If you do it in front of me, I promise I won't write it up." She winked at me causing both of us to laugh. "I will post the link for the notes and homework on the student portal online so you can just get everything from there."
"Thank you, Mrs. D. I'll see you Tuesday. Have a good weekend."
"You too, Audri. Keep that beautiful smile on your face."
As if on cue, I smiled. "Always."
"No, it's not fucking cool. You hate when I keep shit from you, but it's okay for you to keep something like that from me."
Angel huffed. "Mamas, I knew you was gon' find out. If I woulda told you first that wouldn't have made no difference. All I coulda said to you was that I heard they was comin' back, I couldna' reassured you like the principal did."
"It doesn't matter! You know what? Never mind."
"Nah, talk ta' me."
I stood my suitcase up against my bed. "There's no point because you never see your wrong-doing. It's not about what you could or couldn't have reassured me about. It's the principle of the matter that you'll flip six thousand tables if I don't tell you some shit, but it's okay for you to not tell me whatever you feel like you don't want to tell me."
"I neva' said it was okay. I'm just tellin' you why I didn't feel like it was right fa' me ta' tell you some shit like that wit'out knowin' all the facts 'bout it. All that should matta' now is that you know and that err'thang gon' be good."
"Whatever."
Before I could walk to the other side of the room and away from him, he pulled me onto his lap.
"You really wanna argue wit' me right befo' you leave me fa' the weekend?"
I inwardly rolled my eyes. "I'm not arguing with you. I'm simply telling you how I feel about it."
"While cussin' at me."
"Every other word that comes out of your mouth is a cuss word that doesn't mean your arguing, does it?"
He chuckled, licking his lips. "You wanna be like me so bad, huh?"
"I'll pass."
"Oh aight. Say less."
I giggled, pecking his lips. "I love you."
"I luh you mo'."
"I'm gonna miss you so much."
"And I'ma miss you mo'." His eyes literally stared into mine.
I felt my cheeks heat up. "Why are you looking at me like that?"
"Let me give you somethin' ta' miss."
"Ha!" I stood up from his lap. "That's funny."
Angel smacked his teeth. "I ain't talkin' bout that, scary ass luh' girl."
"What are you talking about then?" I sat on the bed next to him. "And I'm not scary. There's nothing to be scared of."
"Lemme taste it."
"Angel."
He put his hands up as if he was surrendering. "Ight ight neva'mind."
Picking up my phone, I checked the time to see that we still had three hours before my mom would be here to pick us up.
I'm not sure what came over me in that moment, but before my brain could catch up with what I was about to do, I climbed onto Angel's lap.
"Okay."
He raised his eyebrows. "Okay what?"
"Okay. You can... taste it." I somewhat whispered the last part out of embarrassment.
This was all new to me, don't judge me.
"Man, Dri, stop playin' wit' me."
"I'm not playing with you." He searched my eyes. "I promise I'm not playing. My mom won't be here to pick us up for another few hours, and no telling what Kenz and Mere are in her room doing."
He started grinning. "So you fa'real?"
"Yes."
Before anything else could be said, his lips found mine. Slightly turning our heads, our lips began to move in perfect synchronization of each other as they always do.
In a swift movement, I was on my back and Angel was hovering over me. His lips found my neck as he began fondling with the hem of my t-shirt.
"You sho' you wanna do this?"
I nodded. "Yes."
I lifted my body a little so that he could slide my shirt from over my head. Since I was home, I didn't have on a bra- or panties- so my upper area was totally free for him to see.
My body quivered under his touch as his hands slid up and down my sides and his lips began to make their way down my chest.
A soft moan escaped my lips as his tongue came in contact with my right nipple, his right hand caressing my left.
"Shh."
His hand left my nipple, finding my lower area as his tongue replaced the area on my chest where his hand just was.
I could feel a smirk play on his lips once he realized I didn't have on any panties.
"You was ready fa' me, huh?"
I rolled my eyes. "Shut up. You know I never have on panties at home."
His fingers made their way to my clit over my shorts, his thumb pressing against, causing another soft moan to escape.
"Baby..."
Angel popped up. "What? You ain't comfortable? We'ca stop if you ain't ready just tell m-"
"No, baby." I giggled. "I'm ready. I just want you to hurry up and get to it."
"Oh you ready ready?"
Rolling my eyes, I felt my cheeks heat up again. "Oh shut up and do it."
He smirked at me, and without another second going to waste, he was sliding my shorts down as he propped himself in between my legs. I could feel his breath hitting my other set of lips as he eyed me.
"You so damn sexy." He slightly groaned, but I couldn't respond before he was making love to me with his tongue.
It wasn't long at all before I was wore out, and couldn't take it anymore.
"Damn, baybeh." Angel smirked, wiping his face off as he climbed out from in between my legs. "You good?"
As I laid there coming down from my high with my legs still shaking from the multiple orgasms he had just put me through, I couldn't help but to let out a sigh of relief and a giggle. "I'm amazing."
"You welcome."
Leaning down, he pecked my lips a few times before slapping my leg. "Wanna shower befo' ma get hea?"
"Carry me?"
He chuckled, shaking his head as he picked me up off the bed and carried me to the bathroom so we could freshen up before my mom got here.
"See, bitch." McKenzie laughed loudly. "I knew your ass was glowing when you walked out that room. That's that 'I just got some dick for the first time' glow."
I smacked her arm. "First of all, lower your voice because ma is right there. Second of all, I didn't get dick! He just ate me out, that's all."
"Say swear."
"I swear."
She scoffed. "Kudos to you, sis, because when Amere gave me head for the first time, I couldn't help but want that di-"
"Okay, Kenz!" I busted out laughing. "Sis, I'm sorry, but I don't want to know all of that."
"Good evening, passengers." The announcement began. "This is the pre-boarding announcement for flight 89B to Dallas. We are now inviting those passengers with small children, and any passengers requiring special assistance, to begin boarding at this time. Please have your boarding pass and identification ready. Regular boarding will begin in approximately ten minutes. Thank you."
My mom stood up from her seat so Kenz and I did the same. "Make sure you guys have all your things. Let's try to be first in line so I can sleep longer, come on."
Doing as told, McKenzie and I grabbed our things.
