❝ Strength doesn't mean an absence of pain.❞― Aja Naomi King

Neha was not a suicidal girl, however this was the first time where she concluded that she should have died in the car accident along with her child. Otherwise she would never have to face the pain of losing both her child and husband.
The husband that swore to be by her side at all times....why didn't he pull the plug on her go when he decided to get married to another? How could he have gone on with his life, knowing that there was a slim chance of her waking from the coma?
Was she angry and surprise at her husband for leaving her? Yes. However Neha also understood that Kabir couldn't wait for her to wake up and hold onto false hope.
It just bugged her about how fast her managed to move on without her. Neha was told by her parents that he had gotten married to another girl within months after her accident. Yet he kept seeing her secretly when her parents weren't there.
All these thoughts clouded Neha's mind as tears began sliding down her face. Before she knew it, Neha was sobbing. She sobbed for the man that she loved and will never share the same relationship. She sobbed for the child that she was ecstatic to raise.
Then there was the child. The child that she would never see. The child that never had even had the chance of existing. The child that she never got to tell Kabir that they were having.
Most importantly she sobbed herself. How was to expected to pick up her life, knowing that she will always be playing catch up for the years that she had lost? Neha was also positive that she longer had a job. Her house that she shared with her husband was no longer hers to call home.

She did not even want to begin to think of how her parents must feel. Neha's parents had made it clear that they did not like Kabir but they stood behind her when she confronted them about wanting to marry him.
Of course that was after her father threaten to call the cops on him when Kabir came to their to ask for Neha's hand in marriage.
"Nehaaa!" She heard Kabir's voice and quickly wiped her tears.
"Your nurse just told me that you tried to go to the garden. You know why you can't." Kabir scolded.
"I'm bored Kabir please I just want to walk." Neha whined.
It was her third month in the hospital, she was getting tired off staying within the confines of her room.
"Actually second thought, can we have Chinese food today Kabir please." She slightly pouted.
Kabir looked at his watch and sighed, "Dont go anywhere. I'll go bring it."
"Where am I going to go anyways." She yelled at he as he walked away.
She waited a few minutes until she was sure that Kabir had left. Then she slowly walked away from the room, hoping to slip in the garden for a few minutes to herself.
However she wasn't expecting to run into a small child halfway to the garden.
"Are you sick?!" Neha stopped and looked at the little girl pointing to her cane.
"A little boo boo." Neha smiled in return and turned away. But it seemed that the little girl wasn't done talking to her.
"What happened to you?" Neha sighed looking at the clock. She knew it was time to turn back and walk to her room.
"Where's your my mom and dad?"
The little girl crossed her arms, "I asked first."

Neha laughed. She couldn't help it. The little girl was so adorable, it was like child was familiar.
"I got into a accident." Neha responded as she noticed that the child was following her.
She decided that she would let the girl follow her to her room then alert the nurse to help the little girl find her mother.
"I'm Pooja."
"I'm Neha."
"That's a pretty name!"
"So Pooja why are you at the hospital? Are you hurt?"
Pooja shook her head, "Mommy says that papa has a friend who not feeling well. Like you! So we came to surprise papa and his friend."
"Oh wow nice! I bet your papa's friend will be excited to meet a cutie like you."
Before Pooja could respond, she was interrupted by a lady calling her name, who Neha assumed was Pooja's mother.
"POOJA!"
"Mommy!"
The lady hugged her daughter tightly, "Next time you don't let go of my hand, okay?"
Pooja nodded, "Sorry mommy."
"It's okay baby, but you know that you have to get a punishment, right?"
"Don't tell papa pleaseee and this lady was nice." Pooja pointed to Neha.
"Sorry for letting her bother you ma'am."
"Please call me Neha and it's no bother at all. This is actually the room I was returning to is somewhere around here."
"I'm Serena. I was walking in the same direction."
"What room number. I'll drop you guys off."
"4186."
Neha blinked, "That's actually my number room."
"Oh are you my papa's friend." Pooja said excitedly.
"I'm sorry I don't think I know?" Neha frowned racking her brain for any images of this lady.
Serena let out a nervous laugh, "I wouldn't expect you too. We've never met before."
"Oh." Serena relaxed back into her pillow.
Maybe Serena was someone her parents knew?
However Neha was given the shock of her lifetime,"I'm uh Kabir's wife."
Neha froze and her eye widened at this information, "What?!"
The girl however seemed delighted with Neha's response, "So you are papa's friend?"
Papa? Kabir?
Neha's mind began to spin. Kabir had remarried? He had a child? Why didn't he tell her?
Serena looked down at her shoes, not knowing what to say to the other woman.
Kabir chose that exactly moment to walked in with Neha's food.
Kabir took one look at his wife along with his daughter and ex wife to know that things were not going to go as smoothly as he wished.
Before he could say anything, Neha fainted.
