Ren was currently tending to a wounded Nora. Her aura was healing the cut but the scar would be permanent unfortunately.

An unconscious Jaune was laid next to Nora by the red haired spartan of Team JNPR and Bianca.

Pyrrha: He's on a whole other level. We can't keep up with him.

Bianca shook her head.

Bianca: It's not just that...

Bianca looks to see you fighting Nightmare with that purple aura still surrounding your body.

You were somehow tanking Nightmare's hits as everything he threw at you would bounce off. He growls and does a battle cry before charging at you with a full power swing with his katana but you grab him by the wrist then grab him by the throat and smash his head against the corner of one of the village houses causing black blood to spurt out of his head. You throw him to the side but he quickly recovers as the cut on his head healed and he rolls out of the way from you trying to stomp him into the ground.

Bianca: He's invincible.

You kick Nightmare into a village house, deciding that stomping on him wasn't going to cut it.

Weiss: What about (Y/n)? He's still on our side right?

Everyone looks at one another. They then watch you as you jump after Nightmare. A few bits of wood go flying off the houses walls until finally crumbling.

Pyrrha: I don't think he's in the right state of mind to be asked that question.

Yang looks at Bianca.

Yang: We have to call for help. The white fang will get away at this point.

Bianca watches you emerge from the rubble with your hands wrapped around Nightmare's throat as you lifted him up into the air.

Bianca: (Y/n)'s winning! We should be fine.

Suddenly the purple aura surrounding you disappeared and your eyes returned to normal. You drop Nightmare and fall back.

(Y/n): Wha- ...where the fuck am I?

Bianca: Oh shit.

Nightmare stood up slowly. Bones began to move back into place and cuts began to heal as he stretched and groaned while popping his neck and fingers while slowly walking towards you.

Nightmare: That was. Unpleasant.

The back of your shirt along with your wrists began to get covered in dirt as you dragged yourself away from him.

Yang: Bianca..

Yang looked at her with pleading eyes. Bianca bites we lip while in deep thought.

Bianca: Fuck it!

She pulls out her scroll.

Nightmare picks you up by the throat.

Nightmare: Why do you protect them?!

He throws you to the ground.

Nightmare: Your saving people who'll kick you further into the dirt than I am now! Think

(Y/n)! Think!

He says while tapping each side of his head with his right and left index fingers.

(Y/n): I am thinking. I'm not a monster like you.

His eyes widen and he places both hands on both cheeks with his mouth gaped

Nightmare: Oh mY goD. I'M a MonStEr. Oh wOe is mE.

He lowers his hands and chuckles, taking a seat in the dirt in front of you.

Nightmare: Seriously though. What's the reason? Eight of the nine people over there have hurt you.

He asks while shrugging his shoulders, trying to figure out why you want to help them. You sit up weakly and look at him.

(Y/n): I...I don't know. I just. Ugh!

Your eyes go from their (E/c) colour to purple.

(Y/n): I couldn't give a shit about what happens to them! Just like how I don't give a shit about what happens after I rip your head off!

You lunge at him but he rolls back then kicks you down. He rests his foot on your face to keep you down.

Nightmare: Whoa. Talk about a change in attitude. Is that you Jasper? Ike maybe? It's definitely not the little light.

Your eyes return to their normal colour.

You struggle while Nightmare stares at you. He was intrigued to say the least. The scroll he was given vibrated in his right pocket. He reached in and pulled it out.

Adam: Everyone is evacuated. The villagers as your requested as well. As soon as Atlas shows, I'll blow the village.

Nightmare texts him back.

Nightmare: Alright.

Adam: Are you sure you'll make it out in time? I put a shit tonne of fire dust in those charges.

Nightmare: I'll be fine.

Nightmare puts the scroll away and looks at you. Suddenly he's thrown off of you by Yang who charged at him and lifted him up into the air. She then throws him into a village house and turns to you. She helps you up.

(Y/n): We need to leave. Regroup and face him again but more prepared.

Yang: Don't worry about that! Bianca has called for back up. We'll get you onto an airship and home to beacon. All of us will go.

You stand on your own and look back at the house Nightmare got thrown into.

You were frustrated to say the least. Not as frustrated as the boys would be seeing-

(Y/n): Oh shit! Guys! Ike! Can you hear me?!

You realise that you haven't used Ike at all today. It's only been Star and Jasper.

You seperate from Yang.

(Y/n): I can still finish him!

You run towards the house.

Yang: (Y/n) stop!

(Y/n): Ike! Come on buddy, I know you can hear me!

Yang: Ike? (Y/n)! Wait a minute!

She chases after you.

The Atlasian ships arrive as troops poor out of them. Medic teams get to team JNPR and team RWBY. They lift Jaune and Nora into a ship and the rest into a ship except Yang, Bianca and yourself.

You look into the house but don't see anyone. You go inside and look around some more. Yang loses sight of you at this point.

Yang: (Y/n)!

She was about to enter too but was thrown back as you were launched into her.

Nightmare walks out and Bianca looks.

She looks at a soldiers rifle and snatched it off him.

Soldier: Hey!

Nightmare down at Yang and yourself. His black katana appears in his hand.

Nightmare: Now. You die (Y/n). Don't worry you won't be alone.

He looks at the soldiers enter the house looking for hostages.

Nightmare: In one minute.

He raises his blade. Yang and yourself hold eachother.

He smiles and brings it down but stops as he hears voices. He looks to the side to see someone pull back from the window in one of the village houses.

Nightmare looks at another house to see a mother with her baby in her hands. He then sees the soldiers evacuate some villagers.

Nightmare: What...?

He pulls out his scroll.

Nightmare: Adam. Why are-

He's cut off as Bianca shot him in the eye which causes him to drop his katana and the scroll.

Bianca: ...For my team.

He stumbles for a bit before looking at the scroll on the ground to see the screen partially coated in his black blood. A message comes in from Adam.

Adam: Blowing the charges now.

Nightmare's eyes widen. He looks at you and Yang get up and step away from him. He looks at the woman and her baby. On instinct he runs to the house and tackles them through the window.

Soldier 2: Okay check the other hous-

The houses explode causing Yang and yourself to fall to the ground and cover your heads.

Soldier 3: Shit! Take off! Take off!

The soldier yells at the air ships before he's engulfed in flames by another blast, originating from the house he was next to.

The airships take off.

Ruby: Yang!

Ruby tries to go in after her half sister but Blake and Weiss hold her back.

Bianca jumps onto another airship before it takes off and looks back at the now burning village.

Suddenly, you come leaping out of the fire, with the dark aura around you, carrying an unconscious Yang bridal style. You just manage to land at the entrance of the ship. You place Yang down.

(Y/n): Get is out of here now!

You yell. The pilot nods and begins to follow the other air ships.

The aura disappears and you fall back.

(Y/n): Ugh...This new thing is going to annoy the shit out of me.

The ship suddenly stops which sends Bianca and yourself forward.

Bianca: What was that?

Pilot: Somethings got us from behind!

You stand up and open the door. You look back to see a giant shadow hand, grabbing the back of the ship.

(Y/n): No way.

Bianca looks back.

Bianca: Impossible.

The pilot engages the afterburners on the engines but this only causes the tail of the ship to get three scratches from the hand's claws.

Pilot: We're going to lose the engines soon!

You look back down at the flames.

Ike: WHAT THE FUCK?! We go for twenty minutes and the village is on fire?!

Your eyes widen with glee.

(Y/n): Ike! My man! Look can't explain now but if I gave you control, could you put out all those fires?

You point to the fires.

Ike: Shit....Maybe. But there are only two out comes. One is that you get burnt to a crisp. The other is we can somehow absorb all those flames..without burning you into a crisp.

You shrug.

(Y/n): Okay so death or death.

Bianca: What?

You look at Bianca.

(Y/n): Bianca. Remember how I said we have to work together and trust each other?

Bianca nods.

(Y/n): Then trust me.

Your eyes turn blue and you look back at Bianca and do a two finger salute.

(Y/n) (Ike possessed): Raise a drink in my honour and down that motherfucker.

You fall back out of the ship. Bianca reaches out to catch you but to no avail as you rapidly descend towards the fierce fires below.

(Y/n) and Ike: This is going to hurt!/ This is going to be legendary!

You fall into the fire and Bianca's eyes go wide.

Bianca: No. not you too.

She looks down and falls to her knees as the giant shadow hand began pulling the ship towards the flames.

Pilot: Shit! We're going to lose the engines!

An ember hovers around Bianca. Bianca looks at it and her eyes widen slightly when the orange colour on the ember turns yellow.

She looks down and sees the flames below turn yellow as well. The hand lets go of the ship and withers away as the flames enveloped it.

Bianca: What the hell?

The airship takes off. Yang's unconscious body starts to move towards the door. Bianca looks and stops her and looks towards the fire.

Pilot: Oh shit!

Bianca: What? What do you mean oh shit?

The left engine explodes causing the ship to shake.

Pilot: Strap in! We're going down!

Bianca straps Yang down then herself.

The ship spins out of control. Bianca holds on tight.

Bianca: I did it guys. I avenged you...

She silently says to herself. She closes her eyes and takes a deep breath.

The airship shakes once more before coming to a stop. Bianca opens her eyes and looks around.

Bianca: Did...we crash into a tree?

The pilot who was silently praying, looks up from his knees and sees that they're flying.

Ruby was being comforted by Weiss and Blake while Ren and Pyrrha watched Nora and Jaune be tended by the medic team in another airship.

The pilot gets a warning on his monitor.

Pilot 2: We have an unknown contact approaching from behind.

Pilot 3: Can you reach them?

Pilot 2 tapped in a few commands and watched the screen.

Pilot 2: Damn it's fast.

They hear an elegant sound echo in the skies. Ruby looks up from the floor of the airship and goes to a window.

They see a show below and she looks up.

Ruby: Whoa.

Weiss and Blake look out as well. Ren and Pyrrha eventually take notice from their airship and look out.

The pilots look up too.

Pilot 3: That's...not a nevermore.

Pilot 2: No sir.

Pilot: He...lo? C...anyone...hear me?

Pilot 2: Davidson is that you?

Davidson: Yeah it's me. You guys seeing this shit?

The pilots stayed silent as they and everyone else stared in disbelief of seeing a giant Yellow Phoenix with yellow fire surrounding its body. It was currently holding the airship that Bianca, Yang and the pilot known as Davidson were in, with its left talon.

Oobleck was gathering his notes and books for his classes today. He grabs a cup of coffee from the coffee machine in the staff lounge and heads to his first class. He takes a sip then notices a large shadow cover himself and his path. He looks towards the helipads to see the yellow Phoenix touch down and spits out his coffee and drops his notes.

Ozpin, in his tower. Takes notice of the Phoenix and immediately heads down to the courtyard.

Sun sees the Phoenix and taps Neptune on the shoulder.

Sun: Yo. That's not something you see everyday.

Neptune looks then looks at Sun who looks back at him before they run to the helipad.

The Phoenix puts the ship it was carrying down as the others land around it.

Ruby rushes out and goes to the beaten up airship. Bianca exits with her and Davidson carrying Yang.

Ruby: Yang?

Davidson: She's fine. Just unconscious.

A medic team came by and took Yang, Nora and Jaune to Beacon's infirmary.

Ozpin comes by with Ironwood and Glynda.

Ozpin: Miss Rose. Miss Jewel. Are you okay?

Bianca looks at both headmasters and stands up straight.

Bianca: Professor Ozpin! General Ironwood! Mission was a success. We took out the target.

Ozpin noticed a few villagers exit the airships.

Ozpin: What of the village?

Bianca looked down sadly.

Bianca: Destroyed...the bastards blew it up to throw us off their trail.

Ironwood sighs.

Ironwood: That is...unfortunate.

Glynda looks around.

Glynda: What about (Y/n)?

Bianca looks down.

Bianca: He...sacrificed himself to help us escape.

Glynda looked down. Ozpin put a hand on her shoulder. Ironwood looked at the giant Phoenix.

Ironwood: Who's your new....pet?

Ruby looks back at the Phoenix.

Ruby: We don't know.

Bianca looked back at it too.

The Phoenix let's off a short, high pitched shriek that makes everyone flinch.

The Phoenix looks down at its right talon and moves it towards the group. It gently places it down then opens it up. It then lifts it up again to show you. Alive with small burns on your arms and face.

Bianca: (Y/n)!

Bianca rushes to you and checks your pulse.

Bianca: He's alive!

Glynda goes to you and looks around.

Glynda: Does anyone have water?

Ruby dashed off and soon returned with a bottle of water.

She gave some to you and you coughed and choked on the water before taking a deep breath.

(Y/n): B-Bianca.

Bianca smiles and helps you up.

Bianca: I'm here. You're okay.

You nod and stand.

(Y/n): Next time I do stupid shit like that. Just knock me out and get me to a nice comfy bed in the infirmary.

Bianca chuckles while holding you up as support.

You look at the Phoenix and smile.

(Y/n): It worked.

Ozpin: What worked mr Hunter?

You look at Ozpin.

(Y/n): Something Nightmare said during our battle. When I was exposed to the hidden power inside me...darkness. He exploited it to get out.

You limp forward towards the Phoenix as it began to shrink while enveloped in yellow flames.

(Y/n): So I thought with the fire and all in the village. I could let another one of the people inside me be a bit of an exploiter himself.

The flames dispersed revealing a youthful man with golden messy hair and blue eyes. He had sunglasses on his head, a green bandana around his neck and wore blue jeans and a black shirt with a grey vest over it. He also wore black vans with red laces.

Bianca: (Y/n)? Who is he?

You smile.

(Y/n): An ally. A much needed one.

You say and stare at the man who smiles and before putting out a stray fire in his golden hair.
