Aquila was sitting with Jessica and Bella not because she wants to but because she's waiting for Angela. It was a sunny day, barely sixty degrees. Everyone was eating lunch outdoors, enjoying the weather. Bella was searching for Edward or any of the Cullen.
"He's not here." Jessica said which caught Bella's attention. "Whenever the weather is nice, the Cullens disappear." This made Bella's mouth hung open.
"They just ditch?"
"No. Dr. and Mrs. Cullen yank 'em out for hiking and camping and stuff. I tried that idea out on my parents, not even close." Jessica explained and Bella nodded. "You don't looks surprised Aquila. I wonder why?"
"Alice invited me to join. I declined." Aquila shrugged. Before Bella could open her mouth, Angela jumped at them.
"I'm going to prom with Eric!" Angela said as she squealed. "I just ask him, I took control!"
"That's my girl!" Aquila said as she high five Angela.
"How about you, Willa? Who are you going with?" She asked.
"Edward Cullen, I bet." Jessica said in a teasing yet jealous tone.
"You'll just have to wait and see." Aquila winked at Angela, ignoring Jessica after sensing the jealousy.
"Oh my god! We need to hit the stores in Port Angeles before the dresses gets cleaned out!" Jessica announced.
"Port Angeles? Can I go with you guys?" Bella asked. She was thinking about going to this book shop to search about the Quileut legends Jacob told her. This is a step closer to knowing Edward's secret.
"Thank God, we need your opinion. Aquila?" Angela sighed happily.
"Yeah I'm going. But I'll most likely spend most of my time finding some things I needed rather than chose some dresses. I could help you find yours but I'd have to go okay?" She said.
There's a magical apothecary in Port Angeles and she wants to check that out. If there is something she picked up on Nymphy's last letter, it is that the war is near it's apex and once in battle, she'll need all the healing potions she can brew. Pepper up potion, blood replenishing potion, essence of Dittany, draught of peace and more.

The next day, Aquila was picking some dresses for Angela and Jessica to try out. Bella was supposed to join them but she left after a few seconds with them. She avoids shopping like a plague.
"Here guys. You have to try these on and see which one you'd be the most comfortable with. For you Ang, I prefer this gold one coz it could push up your boobs and snatch your waist like a corset would. Jess, I'd prefer this copper one for you. The slit and fabric style would make you look a little taller and the neckline wouldn't be too revealing but isn't too boring. I really have to go guys. See you later, yeah?" The two other girls thanked Aquila for her help.
Aquila arrived in the apothecary. It looks normal if you're a muggle. But Aquila knew better.
"How can I help you, dear?" An old woman in her late seventies asked.
"I was hoping you have these?" She said handing her a list of ingredients. The old woman put her glasses on and smiled as she reads through the list.
"Ah, a fellow witch. I am Matilda Cunningham. You are?"
"Merry meeting, Madame Cunningham. I am Aquila Black." At the mention of her name, Matilda dropped the paper. Aquila was saddened. Of course every wizard and witch knew that Black's are evil.
"Black? You are Sirius and Luna Black's daughter? That's why you look so familiar." Matilda said and this time Aquila was the one who was surprised.
"You knew them?"
"Luna Rosier, who had been hiding in the name Luna Swan, was my regular customer. She'd come here thrice a week every summer to buy ingredients for her potions. On the Christmas of her sixth year at Hogwarts, she brought the Black heir here with her. News travels fast, dear Aquila. We have been informed of your father's innocence. My deepest condolences, dear."
"Please, do not feel sorry for dad. The ones that love us never really leaves us." Aquila smiled with tears glistening in her eyes.

Aquila was quite taken with talking to Matilda. She promised she'd come back soon. As she walked in the alley, she felt someone following her. She cursed and walked faster but then reached a dead end. It seems like the man wasn't alone. His friends were waiting for her to turn and cornered her. Then she realized what they are... Frat boys.
Draco will hear about this.
"You're Aquila Black?" One of them asked.
"No. My name is Lily Potter." She answered confidently. "Now please get out of my way." But no one listened to her. They stepped closer and closer when one of them grabbed her hands, Aquila lost it.
She wasn't scared. She was angry...very angry. And when she's very angry, her hair would change colors. That would be very bad. Aquila was about to retaliate when a silver volvo screeched up. The passenger side door opened. And Edward Cullen showed up.
"Get in." Edward told Aquila what she would've done if it wasn't for one frat boy's hand gripping her right arm.
"No you don't." The frat boy holding her said which made Edward growl dangerously.
Aquila got tired of the taunting and twisted the frat boy's arm and ran into Edward's arms. She dragged him towards the car and got inside quickly.
Edward drove off faster than normal, almost hitting the frat boys on purpose. Aquila chuckled but she noticed how tight his grip on the steering wheels are.
"Edward I--"
"I should go back and rip their heads off." Edward spat angrily, remembering the vile thoughts of the Frat boys.
"That you wouldn't do. You could risk being exposed?" Aquila scolded him.
But he didn't know what to do. He wanted to end those imbeciles' lives. Especially after reading who tipped them off about Aquila. They would've never known of Aquila if someone didn't point at her. He is close to strangling Bella Swan.
"You don't know what vile, repulsive things they're thinking." And if you only knew who caused it.
"Maybe I don't and I truly don't want to know. Nor do I want you and your family to be in danger because you wanted to protect me." Aquila said firmly.
"Can you talk about something else? Distract me so I won't turn around."
Aquila didn't know what to do or say. Her snarky comments and dark humor would never work to calm him down. It might even push him to kill those idiots instead. So Aquila tried to use the muggle logic 'action speaks louder than words'.
Aquila took Edward's cold hands and brought it to her lips. She kissed his knuckles and rubbed her thumb at his still clenched fist until it losened. It actually worked because Edward forgot about killing those frat boys. But now he had another control problem. It took everything in him not to kiss his mate then and there.
They arrived at the restaurant where Aquila is supposed to meet Angela and Jessica. Bella already told them she'd head straight home. Angela's eyes widened after spotting Aquila.
"Where were you!? We left you a message."
"We waited but we were starving..." Jessica added but stopped when they realized Aquila wasn't alone. Their mouth dropped in disbelief after seeing Edward with Aquila.
"Sorry I kept Aquila from dinner. We ran into each other and got talking." Edward lied smoothly which Aquila confirmed with a nod and an amused smirk.
"I...we...understand. We were just leaving. So..." Angela stuttered giving Aquila a knowing glance. Angela and Jessica was about to leave when Edward interrupted them.
"Maybe I should make sure Aquila had something to eat. I'll drop you off." Edward offered Aquila.
"That's...so thoughtful." Angela said in a suggestive tone.
"Really thoughtful." Jessica confirmed.
Angela dragged Jessica away as both screamed silently thinking Edward and Aquila are on an actual date.
"Well, shall we?" Edward asked, offering his arms for Aquila, which she took.
"We shall."

Flame Beneath The Snowfall
Alto is a world governed by Tones. Magic, as one might call it. Manifested through deep mental and physical conditioning, one can control the Tones in a way that is unique to them. The power to store items in gems, transfer life, affect a person's mind, and even the more primal abilities such as control of the elements. Those who have these supernatural abilities are called 'Vassals.' People that fully manifest their abilities are not as common as one might think, and not all Vassals acquire their ability through practice, given if conditions are met. In fact, those who had received much trauma manifest the Tones more frequently, albeit spontaneously. However, the rare kind of Vassals are those who manifest it from childhood. A gift, but not without its repercussions. Alto is stuck in a transitional era, where the line between modern and dated technology is blurred. One can travel to a city that has a tall skyline, bustling with people in sophisticated clothing, or a mere town governed by a lord, all the while riding on a powered vehicle. Cultures vary: Some turn to the more dated practices such as castes, others are more inclined to set equal footing on their people, led by nobility. Some are dedicated to become scholars, studying Alto's Tones, while others set foot on hunts, protecting lone towns from the creatures of some of the still-untamed lands. And the Vassals? Those willing are took under The Organization, an elusive group, its presence said to permeate all throughout Alto, taking care of Rogue Vassals that abuse their abilities and other businesses related to their side. But what is this story all about, you may ask? Well, set your sights on the upper portions of this huge landmass that is Alto. Yes, the 'whole' world is called Alto, but that is because the majority of the known people live on this large continent. Relieve yourself of the worrying tensions everywhere, and see the white snow. Trace the piercing mountaintops and focus your eyes between the valley. A town sits there. Mido. After realizing that the memories only left in his mind was the night of his town's imminent destruction in flames, a boy finds himself grasping for every fiber of his life as he lays down flat on the ground. Beneath him was soot mixed with the white snow. Fortunately, a group of investigators, who were supposed to answer their call for help, saved him from his sorry state. With a newfound second wind, but hampered by his loss of memory, he must solve his own case: Who had the audacity to set Mido, his town, aflame? Flame Beneath the Snowfall focuses on action, with a sense of adventure, but mostly the discovery of an outside world, and the protagonist's exposure to it. Add in a whisk of soft magical elements, and you get a story that I hope will be interesting to the readers. That is not to say that my work is without the sense of unnerving atmosphere, however. As a forewarning, there are elements of gore, horror, minor elements of mental trauma, etc. so it is not for all audiences. *The book is already completed. Although I have plans to continue the story (it would have to involve much larger scope in terms of world-building), I have yet to decide when to start the next entry.
