"Tyler, my boy! Welcome.."
The second I heard the boy's name my expression turned from my normal one into a more perplexed one. Of all the wizards who could have walked through that door, it had to be him.
"My Lord." Tyler leant forward slightly in a bow before being told to come forward.
"Tyler, come here.." Lord Voldemort ordered the boy.
Once beside him, the Dark Lord continued,
"Show me your arm.."
"So (Y/N), how have you been? We haven't really hung out much besides during classes and Quidditch practice." Lucas asks me as I grab a sandwich from one of the platters on the table.
"I'm alright. I've just been studying for our N.E.W.T's at the end of the year. I'm kind of nervous for them to be honest.." I replied before taking a bite of my sandwich.
"Don't be nervous! You're in the top 5 of every class! Most students look at you as a role model. So if that isn't saying anything I don't know what will." Lucas said, which cheered me up quite a bit.
"Thanks Lucas. I haven't really looked at it in that way." I smiled at him.
All of a sudden, I felt a tap on my shoulder. I turned around to see Professor McGonagall,
"Ms. (Y/L/N). Would you please come with me."
"Yes, Professor." I replied while getting up out of my seat.
Lucas and some other students looked a bit confused and to be honest, so was I. Professor McGonagall lead me to.. the Headmaster's Office!?
"Am I in trouble Professor?" I asked her.
"Of course not, Ms. (Y/L/N). There is just an issue that pertains to you at the moment." She replies.
That didn't really help in my understanding of what was going on, but I guess I'll find out soon enough. Professor McGonagall lead me up the staircase to the Headmaster's Office. I entered the room to see my father standing there with the Headmaster. I remembered that I have to pretend to not remember anything from the last time I saw him, so I couldn't look upset.
"Dad? What are you doing here?" I asked as I walked up the steps to the Headmaster's desk.
"I am here to bring you home. Your mother, she.. she's ill." He says.
"What!? What does she have?" I asked frantically.
"I had a doctor come over and they weren't able to identify the illness." My father replied, sounding very distraught.
"Alright. Um.. I need to at least grab my school books before goi-" "I can have your books sent home (Y/N), right now, your mother's health is of more importance than studies." Professor Dumbledore explained.

"Oh, alright. When do you think I can come back dad?" I asked him.
"As soon as possible. Could be a day, week, not entirely sure right now (Y/N)." He replied.
My father handed me some floo powder and told me to follow after him. He said our home address and then disappeared in a green flame. I stepped into the fireplace next and did the same. Once I could see my living room through the fire I stepped out. My father was sitting on the sofa. I walked over to him and asked,
"Where is mom? And where is (B/N)?"
"They aren't here." He replied.
"What do you mean they're not here?" I tried to sound confused.
I couldn't let him find out that I know about him being a Death Eater and I have a sneaking suspicion that this has something to do with it. I let my hand fall against my pocket where my wand was. Just in case I have to defend myself.
"I'm sorry (Y/N), but that's not going to work today." I hear my father say.
As I was pulling my wand out of my pocket, I feel myself being restrained. I hear my wand hit the floor as my arms get pulled behind my back. Another person, who I remember seeing at that long table last time, picked up my wand. All of a sudden, I feel like I'm spinning. Oh great, apparition..
Once the spinning had stopped, I took in my surroundings. It was the same place from last time. The doors opened into the room with the long table. Everyone turned to look at me. I saw Severus there. I could tell he had no idea what was going on.
"(Y/N)! We meet again.." I hear the the man known as Lord Voldemort say.
"What do you mean again? Who are you!?" I tried to play it off as if I didn't remember.
Does he know that Severus didn't cast Obliviate on me?
The man chuckled before responding,
"Come now (Y/N). I know you remember the last time you were here. And that makes me wonder.. Severus, how is it possible that the girl remembers our last encounter. Did you not obey my order?" The man asked Severus.
I cut Severus off before he could respond,
"I cast a non-verbal spell to shield myself from the memory charm."
Lord Voldemort looked at me and so did everyone else.
"A non-verbal spell you say. You must be a very gifted witch I presume. Very well then. On to the next topic at hand. (Y/N), do you know what the Dark Mark is?" He asks me.
"I do. I've heard about it in one of my classes." I replied.

I hadn't even realized until then, but I wasn't being restrained anymore.
"Great, then you probably know why you've been brought here today." The man says.
Do they want to turn me? But I'm still in school. Aren't I too young for something like this?
"You can't be implying that I am to be turned? I am still in school!" I exclaim.
"Whether you are or aren't in school does not matter. The earlier you start, the more you will be able to learn. Besides, you aren't the only students in our midst. Tyler, stand up." Lord Voldemort gestures to someone at the table to stand up.
I was shocked to see Tyler here. Why on Earth would he be a Death Eater!? He's not even a Slytherin!
"Tyler was given the Dark Mark just yesterday. And now, it is your turn." Lord Voldemort says.
The same man who had me restrained earlier grabbed my arm to bring me to him. I try to get his hand off.
"There is no way in hell that I am going to let you turn me." I say, still struggling.
"I don't believe you have a choice. So either cooperate, or the whole process will be much more painful." Lord Voldemort says.
I gave up struggling, huffing angrily.
I was now stood next to Lord Voldemort. He held out a hand and told me,
"Show me your arm (Y/N)."
I hesitantly rolled up my right sleeve. My heart was pounding out of anger and fear. What is going to happen to me. I looked over at Severus briefly before the most terrible pain I had ever felt circulated throughout my body. The process felt like it was taking hours, even though it barely took a minute. Once the excruciating pain had subsided, I grasped my arm and looked at it. The Dark Mark covered nearly my entire forearm. It was pulsing. Now I know how uncomfortable it must be for Severus. I felt a hand being placed on my shoulder and turned to look at Lord Voldemort,
"That wasn't so hard was it?"
I shook my head, unable to say anything in response at the moment.
"Now. This meeting is dismissed. Severus, come here." I hear Lord Voldemort say.
People began apparating away until only Severus and I were left in the room with the Dark Lord. Severus walked up to the adjacent side of Lord Voldemort's chair and awaited what he had to say.
"Severus, it has come to my attention that you and (Y/N) here have a bit of a past. That is why I would like you to mentor her. Teach her anything you believe she needs to know."
"I will my Lord." Severus replied before the Dark Lord looks over at me,
"And you. You are to listen to Severus and not tell another living soul about this. Consequences will be put in order if you are to break any of these rules."
"Understood." I replied.
The pain in my arm was still present, but it had subsided a little.
"Good. You may both leave now." Lord Voldemort says.
Severus gestures with his hand for me to follow him. We walk out the doors and turn a corner. Then he stops. He holds out his hand which I take hold of after a second. We immediately start spinning and appear in the Potion's Classroom. Before I could say anything Severus pulls me over to his desk and tells me to sit down.
"Does the Mark hurt?" He asks me while looking through a drawer in his desk.
"Not too much, but yes." I replied.
He rummages through multiple drawers before pulling out a small vile.
"Take this. It will make the pain subside." Severus explains as he hands me the vile.
I drink it. It doesn't taste great, but it definitely isn't as bad as Skele-gro.
"Did you know that was going to happen Severus? Or were you just as surprised as I was?" I asked after a short silence ensued.
"I had no knowledge that you would be given the Dark Mark. I would have done my best to prevent that from happening." He replied.
Severus stood in front of me with his arms crossed. He seemed upset. Upset that this had happened. I'm surprised that I'm not freaking out right now. I should be. I have the damn Dark Mark on my arm!
"What do we do now?" I ask, getting up from the edge of the desk.
"Now, we must do what we have been told to do. I must mentor you. In order for this to work, I suggest you come here every other evening after dinner." Severus replies.
"Alright. What about Professor Dumbledore and Professor McGonagall. They think my father took me home to see my mother due to an illness." I explain.
"I will enlighten them about what has happened. They will be the only ones to know about your current situation. I would also refrain from coming in contact with Mr. Sander's at the moment." Severus tells me.
"I won't. Well, I guess I'll head to my Dorm Room for the night." I replied as I began walking to the door with him.
Before leaving I turned back to Severus,
"Goodnight, Severus."
"Goodnight, (Y/N)." Severus replied before I left in the direction of the Slytherin Common Room.
