"Hmph..." i groaned slowly waking up...
I lifted my body off of the bed as i rubbed my eyes a bit.
'Oh right... still here'
I glanced around trying to make out what time it it, but didnt succeed at that.
I rubbed my forhead, my head hurting a bit...
'Ugh... i feel like shit...'
I sat down at the edge of the bed, staring into space for a while.
I tried sitting up, whincing a bit at the pain in my leg...
I slowly walked over to the door, opening it to peek outside.
'Hm... this dude really doesnt like light colors...'
I stepped outside, trying to spare my broken leg from walking as much as possible.
I looked around a little, it seemed pretty damn fancy...
I saw a hallway which ended at an elevator, it was most likely the entrance...
"You shouldnt walk around in unknown houses like that love"
I shrieked loudly as i felt something pick me up all of a sudden.
"You shouldnt walk around with a broken leg, you could risk hurting yourself"
I only stared at him like a startled goat
"S-sorry... i was curious, thats all"
"You know this place isnt exactly harmless, watch out okay?"
I nodded hesitantly.
"Hey uhm... i was wondering... since ill probably spend some time here... what can i call you exactly, mr.frontman perhaps?"
"You can call me whatever you like y/n, i dont have a problem with most names"
"Oh, okay then!"
Suddendly i gently grabbed his face, probably taking him off guard a bit.
"Huh? Is anything wrong?"
"Can i maybe see you without your mask? Im curious what you look like"
He paused for a short while.
"...not right now, another time maybe"
"Oh... well okay" i agreed a bit dissapointed.

I felt his arms brush up against my exposed skin, making it tingle a bit as i flushed up slightly...
"I actually have something to take care of today, as long as you dont mind id leave you to some of the guards"
"Oh i dont mind at all, no worrys!" I smiled cheerfully.
He carried me back to the bedroom before setting me down on the bed again.
"Mr.frontman, mind if i ask you something?"
"What is it?"
"Can i maybe have my phone back? I havent had it for a while honestly..." i picked at my cuticles nervously.
"Im sorry if that sounds weird by the way" i added laughing a bit.
"Ill get one of the guards to give your personal belongings back to you. So no worries" he responded.
"Oh okay, thank you" i smiled.
I really wondered what he looked like without that mask...
Strangely only a mask could change the perspective i saw a person so drastically...
I viewed 34 a lot different than the others, not just because because ive interacted with him the most but mainly because i knew what he looked like...
Strangely...that veil of anonymity seemed to be a pretty big deal here...
I mean... for example, if you shot the friend or relative of a person during a game... then having to live with the tought that that person will remember and hate your face forever must be pretty harsh...
So i guess the whole system still makes sense...
That must also be why they call most players by their serial codes and have one their own.
A name is probably more of an emotional attachment than one may think...
Another reason might just be the legal stuff, i mean someone could go to the police and decribe ones face. Theyd most likely get tracked down rather quickly...
'Hm... with all that anonymity, i wonder how you even get employed here...'
I decided to leave these dark toughts alone for now.
"Alright, ill lead you down to the guards then, care to follow?"
I nodded quickly getting up...

Only a Demon can Slay the Gods
Gust steps into a world of cultivation and magical arts after his father’s death sends him searching for answers. With his father’s lucky coin in hand, and an indecipherable journal in his back pocket, Augustus Perry stumbles into a world he never knew existed. There, he finds a school of mages who speak of Gust’s father as if he were a long-lost legend. They fear Gust’s world and some even call him a demon. It is only out of respect for the coin’s former master that the mages take him in and teach him their methods for cultivating mana. But how could an immortal renegade swordsman turn into the quiet, withdrawn man Gust always knew? What brought him to Gust’s world in the first place, and why did he never go back? If Gust ever wants to know who his father truly was, he’ll need to embark on the very same quest that drove his old man insane. New Chapters M-W-F. **This is my attempt at western progression/cultivation fantasy, inspired by stories like Cradle, the works of Er Gen, and more mainstream fantasy like the Wheel of Time and the Cosmere books.**

New Escape
In a world not that unlike the present exists a fantastic technology to transfer one's consciousness into a game. A new frontier for video games has been opened, and my first experience in this world is an rpg. An escape from monotony and school has led me to experience a brand new world.(I originally lost my motivation for this story and kinda wanted to kill it, but I brought it into this world so I will fix it. I'll probably re-write the first chapters and include a more compelling story. Didn't really write the story for people to read in the first place and after I put it on here I stopped caring, but I am changed!(not too much but just a little))

At The Lions Gate
In the 20th century America reinvented itself. Devastated by depression, scarred by war, rocked by a revolution, Americans banded together to preserve their country and their freedom. They had faith in themselves, faith in one another, and for those who believed…faith in God. This novel tells the story of one American who lived through those turbulent years….years that would test his character and the character of a nation. For Josh Sanders it begins in 1935. A star athlete in school, pro football is a ticket out of poverty during the Great Depression; but when his father, a WWI veteran, is killed during a robbery, Josh’s spirit is broken, and with it his boyhood dream. To honor his father Josh joins the war effort in 1942, distinguishing himself as a fighter pilot, until a fateful decision near the end of the war changes the course of his life once again. But many years later, after a stint as a boxer and a failed marriage, Josh finds his calling…at a time when the country is at war with itself. The year is 1968. King and Kennedy have been killed, race riots are breaking out, and Vietnam has become an albatross, causing massive protests across the country. In the streets of San Francisco Josh watches a crowd of students march for peace. As a veteran he’s conflicted, toward the war and those who oppose it. But when he encounters Rosy Goldin, a spirited young protester in need of help, a voice from the past calls him to action. His good intentions are soon tested when Rosy falls in love with the fugitive anti-war activist Erick White, a young man determined to oppose the war at all costs, against the wishes of his own father. Fearful of what happens to Rosy, Josh confronts Erick, unwilling to be part of his plan to escape…until he meets the boy’s father. A high-powered criminal attorney, Karl White is also a flag-waving patriot demanding that his son follow the law. But as White makes his case Josh is jolted by a painful war-time memory, a crisis of conscience that will soon determine the fate of Rosy Goldin and Erick White.
