Jiang turned toward the direction the emperor's throne-like seat was and mumbled out the words "Thanks" then he faced back princess Yang Liu opposite him and said, "Let's begin".

Princess Yang Liu bowed in a very grace worthy way towards Jiang; however, Jiang didn't see the need to do all that before a fight, he didn't know what such an action represented after all he grew up in the woods and even if at some point saw nobles did that before a fight he never when he strolled into town he never put many thoughts into it, yet Jiang still believed it was the right to reciprocate such a gesture, so Jiang bowed awkwardly towards princess Yang Liu, though once he raised his head he was faced with an upcoming attack from the bitch, Jiang had gotten so use to sudden attacks and always had his guard up so he was able to immediately put up his defense, still the attack was stronger than he expected as the defense technique of the piercing tornado dance was instantly shattered and he was pushed a step backward, nevertheless the impact of the blow from princess Yang Liu was lessened.

Jiang stared into the gentle-looking eyes and smiling face of princess Yang Liu and couldn't help but snort unladylike at her Jiang nonchalantly commented.

princess Yang Liu asked sweetly like she didn't already know the answer to that question.

With just that one strike from Yang Liu, Jiang was able to properly know what he was up against but he wasn't faced and this surprised Yang Liu a whole lot since there has been no time that she fought with an opponent who after clearly experiencing their disparity in strength didn't instantly let their mind crumble in fear, such opponents she always ended up winning the fight without even having to do much.

After Yang Liu thought about this a bit she believed that Jiang's still intact state of mind was probably because he wasn't willing to easily give up this empress elect title, to her it was understandable if a person with such a prestigious title tried to hold on to it, who wouldn't want to be the empress elect and eventually true empress to the emperor and the whole of Tang Qin Shang, such a powerful and fantastic position which brought with it, untold wealth, prestige and power even her a princess of a subordinate kingdom secretly drooled and dreamed of it, she had always secretly wished the emperor had chosen her and not the young mistress Lei Yue.

As a matter of fact, when she heard that her friend Liang Na has been removed from the competition she was overjoyed and had a small party at the manor she was residing at outside the palace during the time she will be staying at the capital city in Tang Qin Shang for this completion, to her Liang Na was her biggest obstacle and once removed her chances to become the emperor's true empress increased a bit.

If only princess Yang Liu knew that Jiang wasn't really risking his life in this fight just because he didn't want to give up on the power and prestige he might get if he eventually becomes the true empress of Tang Qin Shang but because he had realized he wanted to be with the emperor because he had fallen in love with him, he didn't know how or why this happens so quickly, how he could fall in love with two people so quickly, one was Jun Tang and the other was the emperor, they were so different but at the same time so alike.

Even if Jun Tang was to come back into his life Jiang didn't feel like he could be with him, he was hurt severely by him and moreover he was the emperor's empress elect already so it was only right for him to choose the emperor.

To Jiang, the sweetest looking people were always the deadliest, especially if they hid their true intentions and nature behind a smile, just like his stepmother who pretended to be gentle and kindhearted to outsiders but was the most vicious in his family, it was due to her negative influence on her children that they also came to hate him and his mother.

So people who behaved like sweethearts were people Jiang was most cautious of.

Anyway, the Technique princess Yang Liu used previously to damage Jiang's piercing tornado dance defense was actually her water lash technique, she used her water element to form a long whip, one could actually see the water moving softly in the whip that she formed but when it was crashing towards Jiang's it somewhat looked like it had solidified and Jiang then had felt like it was a heavy metal that hit against his defenses and made it crumble.

Presently the whip formed by the water lash technique had been reformed back into water and formed several bubbles and as princess Yang Liu chanted a spell said water was beginning to turn into snow, it was as if the martial stage was gradually starting to experience the winter season while the rest of Tang Qin Shang was still experiencing summer.

Jiang was smart enough to deduce that the technique princess Yang Liu was about to unleash was probably her snow blazer technique, it was a wild range technique and would be difficult to avoid once it was fully unleashed, also it would greatly obstruct his sight and will practically be at her mercy then so he chose to attack her and stop her from continuing what she was doing.

Jiang accelerated his speed with the piercing tornado dance movement aspect of the technique in such a way that numerous afterimages of himself was generated, this way princess Yang Liu shouldn't be able to immediately pinpoint which of after images were his real self and so he will be able to strike her before she could guess properly.

As Jiang arrived at Yang Liu's front with a hammer formed from the attack aspect of his technique and was about to strike at Yang Liu she sidestepped him and then one of the water bubbles close to her that hadn't be turned into snow yet and started dispensing into the air to form a snow blazer like the rest suddenly turned into a small whip and lashed at Jiang at the very spot he stood, it struck him at the middle of his chest and sent him flying backward, the breaking on his ribs was so sound that the audience watching the fight gasped in shock.

For this fight, they were also gamblers who had risked losing and placed their bets on Jiang, although this time around not many believed Jiang will win and so not many placed their bet on him, the difference in strength was just too much, yet these people that didn't place bets on Jiang were actually cheering for him and still wished Jiang could perform a miracle, they had grown to care for this calm, amicable looking empress elect, so many still couldn't believe that this was the young pompous mistress of General's Lei's manner who they had heard about in numerous occasions.

As a matter of fact, because of Jiang, people had begun to stop believing in rumors because they felt that rumors where just too far away from the truth, how wrong they were as they didn't know that their current empress elect was defiantly not the young mistress of the general's manor and that every rumor said about young mistress Lei Yue was indeed true.

Meanwhile, Jiang was chest was hit by a water lash was flung to the opposite side of princess Yang Liu and found himself hitting the martial stage ground.

The crowd outside the stage watched Jiang on the ground with hitch breath, many believed that he wouldn't be able to get up from such a sudden strong attack by Yang Liu so when they saw Jiang stand up with such confidence and poise as if he didn't such experiencing something that would have made most nobles feel humiliated, been beaten down continuously, the audience watching this fight both inside and outside the imperial palace had to just clap in awe for such a fine person with such a strong character.

Meanwhile, as everyone was offering their encouragement to Jiang by clapping for him the emperor was thinking of another way to encourage his boy.

The emperor could see that although Jiang looked okay from other's perspective and he gave off the feeling that the injuries he obtained from Yang Liu strikes were just surface injuries, the emperor knew that wasn't the case, he had seen Jiang discreetly swallow down the blood that he was about to cough up, Jiang didn't want to appear weak before anyone ever again and so he chose to further harm his body by doing this instead of just coughing up the blood.

Emperor Qin Jie Huang's eye begins to blaze, the temperature around him heated up, he had come up with a simple plan, he was going to discreetly attack princess Yang Liu with the same technique he had used on Chen at the no difference pavilion when he was in disguise as Jun Tang, however, this time he will increase the effect of that illusion technique, firstly because Yang Liu strength was higher than Chen and won't easily be deceived by an illusion and secondly because he just wanted to really hurt this person, he was tired of watching as his JiangEr gets hurt by others, those previous time Jiang fought the emperor wasn't around to personally watch so he couldn't act even if he wanted to but now that he was here how could he let the manhandling of his precious empress elect slide.

The emperor planned on breaking princess Yang Liu's mind to the point that for six months she wouldn't know left from right, he was thinking of all the cruel things he was about to do to her on behalf of his JiangEr and so he didn't even realize what an evil smirk he was displaying.

Just as he was about to unleash the technique on the poor unsuspecting princess Yang Liu, he heard a familiar voice say to him the emperor hissed in anger and his hands resting on the armrest of his throne-like chair formed a bone-crushing fist.

Poor chief eunuch Bai Kang that had just spoken nervously gulped down his saliva, he felt a cold shiver run down his spine, he had just arrived and had seen the emperor smile so devilishly, Bai Kang shared a bond with the emperor and also lived with him for so long so he could pretty much figure out what the emperor was trying to do and so tried to prevent him from making such a mistake, however, now he kind of wished he had not said anything because with the way the emperor was presently glaring at him if was like emperor Qin Jie Huang planned on pounding him until he was crushed into a fine dust.
