The emperor couldn't help but feel like of recent he had become weak, not in strength but in the way he handles his day to day affairs and he didn't like that at all, he couldn't afford to have any form of weakness, not with the kind of position he held, so he began to seriously ponder on what he could possibly do to get rid of such weakness which was in the form of one person only, his JiangER.

Citizens watched from the display screen closest to them how Jiang and Yang Liu proceeded gradually on foot with their attendants to the imperial martial grounds and while they did this Jiang was busy thinking about the reason why princess Yang Liu chose to come and battle with him immediately his rest period was over, she didn't even wait one more day after and rushed here like she was been chased by lions, it could only be because of one thing and that was the fact that princess Yang Liu hoped to have won the empress elect title before the emperor's birthday, she also probably thought if that were to happen then she will be officially announced as the new bearer of the title during the emperor's birthday and this will make this event about her even more grand and fabulous.

After having such thoughts Jiang snickered, there was no way he was going to let princess Yang Liu's wish come to pass no matter the cost, she was now walking some few meters away from Jiang's side so Jiang chose to evaluate the person he was up going up against, initially he didn't plan on doing that because he didn't want anything to demoralize him but then he thought against it and believed there was no harm gauging his opponent's strength.

Truth be told the emperor had been worried for his JiangEr when he noted the strength disparity between Jiang and Yang Liu and so made the decision to not only surprise Jiang but also offer him his moral support, once this resolution was concluded the emperor activated the same technique he once used to transport Jiang and himself to his manor at the main palace when he was disguised as Jun Tang and with that done he soon found himself at his intended destination which was to be at the imperial martial ground

As intended by the emperor he took his seat before Jiang or Yang Liu could possibly think of arriving at the martial ground and his presence was what led to the quite atmosphere Jiang saw upon his arrival.

Also the fact that there were so many servants present at such a short time could also be related to the emperor's presence because immediately they got wind of the information that the emperor was at the imperial martial ground they all became even more interested in watching the battle and rushed over at their fastest speed unlike Jiang and Yang Liu that took their time to stroll over.

Anyway to Jiang it was like seeing the face of the emperor at the imperial martial ground had a strange effect on him because whatever fear or insecurities he had about how he could never defend princess Yang Liu even with his increased strength disappeared, his confidence was back and he was ready to do his very best.

Jiang turned to toward the direction the emperor's throne like seat was and mumbled out the words "Thanks" then he faced back princess Yang Liu opposite him and said "Let's begin".
