《Why Dont You Love Me?》Chapter 17

She looked beautiful, absolutely beautiful. Her hair was longer, her smile was bigger, her eyes were browner and she just looked absolutely stunning. I took a deep breath before running over to her and scooping her up into my arms. I heard her giggle before wrapping her arms around my neck and hugging me back. I smelt the familiar scent of Vanilla over come me, causing me to hug her tighter. Spinning her around, I put her back down, smiling like an idiot.
"Geez, Ryan!" She said playfully. "It's like you havent seen me in months!"
"It's been two months!" I whined. She smiled again before giving me another hug. I grinned and hugged her back, placing a gentle kiss on her cheek. Her arms wrapped around my neck tightly.
"How have you been?" She asked, smiling up at me.
"Much better now." I said with a smile.
"Good!" She hugged me once more then went around the room to hug everyone else. I looked over to the blonde girl who gave me a wiry smile.
"Hey," She said. "I'm Liz, Megan's sister."
"Oh!" I said with a sound of explanation in my voice. "Nice to meet you!" I smiled. She smiled back before hugging me as well. I smiled as I hugged her back. Before returning to my seat next to Nash, I took one last look over at Megan. I felt Nash pull me down causing me to fall into the seat. I laughed before smacking his arm gently.
"So," I an said finally. "Two questions."
"What?" Nash asked back. We all turne our attention to Ian. He smiled before taking a seat infront of Nash and me.
"Well, three actually," He said. "1) Are you happy Megan's back, Ryan? 2) Where's Jamie? And 3) What the hell happened here?" He pointed around the room. Everyone started laughing, including Nash and myself.
After telling them what had happened, we went out for lunch at the infamous Olive Garden. I was walking beside Megan with my arm draped around her. She was hugging my waist with one of her arms and walking slowly and quietly beside me. I looked down at her and smiled.
"You okay?"
"I'm fine." She nodded. As we were walking inside, I felt my phone vibrate in pocket and as I pulled it out, Megan let go of me and walked ahead with Cameron and Liz.
I looked at my lockscreen and saw a text from Katherine. I let out a large groan before opening the text up, and reading it.
Katherine: Who's that girl you're with, Ryan?! Are you cheating on me?
Me: We're not even dating you and I. So please, leave me alone.
And with that, I locked my phone and shoved it into my pocket. I joined everyone else at the table a few moments later and the first thing we all did, was order drinks.

"No way!" Liz said laughing. "There is no way she said that!"
I felt my cheeks burning a fierce red while everyone was laughing. Nash was telling the story of we met.
"Yeah," He said. "Quite a romantic story, isn't? Ryan shooting her with a Nerf gun and her saying that?"
"In my defense," I interrupted. "I was shocked but also so happy I was in the same room as Ryan!"
A smile formed across Ryan's face as he held my hand under the table. We've only been at Olive Garden for about an hour now and things are actually going really, really well. We had all just finished eating our meals when our deserts came along.
"Yeahhh and now you two are dating!" Nash laughed. I smiled and blushed before my head bent forward, looking down at the table. I bit my lip a bit before giggling.
I looked over at Ian who was strangely quiet. Distant, even. His face told a story that seemed almost heartbreaking and sad. I didnt really want to bother him so I thought it best to stay out of his business. I looked around at the table, smiling at everyone. Liz and Cameron really hit it off. They seemed to balance each other out, which is good. Liz needed someone like that. I smiled again before leaning against Ryan. Feeling his arm wrapped around my shoulder was such a relief. I was so happy to be home and in the arms of the one I love. I smiled to myself, letting this new found happiness sink in. His head rested on top of mine while our fingers danced together.
"What cha thinking about?" I heard him ask.
"Huh? Oh! Nothing." I smiled at him. He smiled back, placing a kiss on my lips. I felt my cheeks heat up before an even bigger smile grew across my face.
"You sure?" He asked again.
"Positive." I smiled.
After desert, we all left the restaurant and went back to Ryan's apartment in the city. Ian left and went somewhere else after whispering something into Jamie's ear. Jamie nodded as he walked off.
I walked over to Jamie a bit nonchalantly. Nudging his shoulders and wigging my eyebrows, I looked at him.
"What's wrong with Ian?"
"Noooothing." He said back.
"You're still not a great liar!" I laughed.
He smiled before looking back at me. "Maggie's sick, so he's going to go take care of her."
"Oh no! I hope she's okay!" I said with a hint of worry in my voice. Jamie nodded before draping his arms around my shoulders.
"She'll be fineee!" I felt someone come up behind me before my vision went completely and utterly dark.
"Ow! Hey!" I said with a whine.
They led me up some stairs around a corner and into room, which was quiet. I pursed my lips a bit before the blindfold came off, or so I thought. The room was still dark, no light in sight. I sighed quietly before whining.

"Guys, come on this isn--" I was quickly cut off by the lights turning on, and people jumping out from everywhere. I saw a banner that said 'Welcome Home Megan!' which was hung over the top of the fireplace. My hands covered my mouth as my smile grew ten times in size.
"SURPRISE!!" They all yelled in unison. My dropped open as I looked over at Ryan who had a smile across his face. He made his way over to me, Nash yelling all sorts of things.
"WHERE IS THAT BOY." I heard him scream. I laughed before running over to Ryan, instantly wrapping my arms around him and hugging him. He hugged back and laughed.
"Is this for me?!" I asked stunned.
"Yeah!" He said back with a smile. "You and only you." He placed a kiss on my nose. I smiled even bigger. Parties weren't really my thing, but I have to admit that this was a nice surprise.
After a few minutes of saying hello to the people I knew, I walked over to the drinks and poured myself a glass of water. As I was sipping it, I noticed a blonde haired boy walked over to me. He looked a bit familiar but I didnt want to say anything. His eyes were a bright blue and his smile was huge.
"Hey!" He finally said,
"Hi!" I said back.
"I'm Chord, Nash's brother. It's nice to finally meet you! Ryan has not shut up about you." He laughed.
Eh, Chord Overstreet? Okay, Megan. No fangirling. You can do this. He's just like Ryan! Breathe! Are you breathing? I took a deep breath in before exhaling and nodding to myself. I put a smile on my face as I looked back at the boy.
"Oh really?" I asked.
"Really!" He said. "Anyways, i came over to tell you that he's never fallen so hard for anyone before. So I really hope you two last."
"What do you mean," I asked. "He's had plenty of girl friend's before me."
"True, but they all used him."
"They.. Used him?" I asked again. He nodded, pouring himself some of the juice into the cup.
"Yeah, all of them except Morgan. She did care about him but when they were dating he was.. Uhm.. Not in a good state and they broke it off before anything happened. They're still friends though, which isn't bad. Morgan's really nice."
I nodded again before taking a sip of my drink. Chord walked away when his brother nodded him over, leaving me along with nothing to really do. I smiled as I watched all of the boys goof around and have fun. Even Liz was having fun with Cameron just sitting on the couch and talking. I reached into my purse and pulled out my notebook, remembering the song I had written for him which I am proud to say, is finished. I looked around for Ryan, but I didnt see him anywhere. I creased my eyebrows a bit before walking outside.
"Ryan?" I called out. When i didnt get an answer I decided to head back inside. I walked over to Jamie and tapped on his shoulder. He turned around and looked at me.
"Have you seen Ryan?" I asked, half yelling over the music and the people. More and more people showed up as time went by cause well, hey it's a party in California and yolo.
"Uh," He yelled back. "I think he went upstairs."
I nodded before turning on my heels and going over to the steps. It was now almost 11 but I knew Ryan wouldn't have gone to bed without telling me so. Right? I mean, yeah. He wouldnt. I took the first few steps off before hearing a girls voice giggling. I looked down at my phone before seeing I had a text from the unknown number.
UNKNOWN: You sure he's yours? And being faithful? Come on, Megan. Look at yourself and then look at the other girls he's dated. He's famous, you're nothing to him except another girl. You'll find our soon enough. And don't forget that I did warn you. He's mine. You're bad for his image, YouTube Girl.
I rolled my eyes a bit before getting to the top of the stairs. I followed the giggles over to his room. The door was cracked slightly open.
"Stop." I heard Ryan's voice vaguely say.
I placed my hand on the door and slowly pushed it open. The door flung open slowly, letting me take the whole scene in. Ryan was on the bed, sitting next to a girl with long red hair. Once she saw me, she quickly grabbed his face, placing a kiss on his lips. Ryan didnt really even fight her off, or that's what it looked like to me at least.
You hear that? I'm pretty sure that was the breaking of my heart then the pieces hitting the floor.
"Oh, Ryan!" Red head screamed.
"Megan!" Ryan screamed, finally pushing the girl off of him. "This isn't what it looks like!"
I felt the tears swelling up in my eyes as I stood there helplessly. My hands were shaking and my head was spinning. The red head just smirked as she looked at me.
I couldn't take this. I swallowed hardly as tears started to escape. I turned on my heels quickly, placing my arm over my eyes and running downstairs.
"Megan, wait!" He called after me. I didn't stop running though. I pushed through the people, through Nash and Chord then finally Jamie, leaving no distance between myself and the front door.
