《Why Dont You Love Me?》Chapter 16

Liz woke up extra early. How do I know this? I heard her bouncing around the room at five o'clock. I groaned as I pulled the covers over my face, while letting out a slight whine.
"Lizzz, go back to sleep!" I heard a soft giggle from the other side of the room.
"Sorry Megan!" She said quietly. She turned the light back off and slid back underneath her covers. I laughed a bit before rolling over to my side to face her.
"Same old Liz." I smiled. She looked at me and smiled back. I took a deep breath in before picking my phone up and scrolling through my photos album.
"You okay?" She asked.
"Yeah! I just really miss Ryan," I said quietly. Liz got up off of her bed and sat down next to me. She looked at the photos as I scrolled through them and smiled.
"You really like him, dont you?"
"More than anyone I've liked before.." I answered.
"I'm sorry for hurting him.." I looked at her and smiled. I nudged her shoulder gently and giggled.
"He's going to get to know the real you now!" I said with a huge smile. Liz's smile grew as she pulled me into a tight hug. I hugged back before letting go and getting up off of my bed. I walked over to the window and took a deep breath in. I opened the curtains then pushed the window open and sat back down.
After talking senselessly for about five hours, Liz and I finally got up and got dressed. We decided we should probably get up and go down to Denny's to get some breakfast. I brought my notebook with me in hopes Liz could help me with Ryan's song. We got led to a booth and both took a seat on either side of the table.
"Can I get you anything to drink?" The waitor asked.
"Water." Liz and I said in unison. The waitor nodded before walking away. I looked around the place and laughed at some of the people. One women had a huge hat on, like no lie. It was blue with big huge feathers on it. She also was wearing a bright orange outfit dazzled with gems and jewels. It was a very out of the blue, and very out there out fit. I also saw an older couple cuddling in the seats. It made me smile to know that love lasts long if you put the work into it. I looked back at Liz and took a deep breath in.
"Can you help me with something?" I asked.
She looked back at me and nodded. "Sure!"
I pulled the notebook out of my bag and flipped through the pages until I found the song then handed the notebook over to her.
"Help me write this. I've been working on it for weeks now and I honestly have nothing!" I frowned slightly and rested my head on my hand and watched her read it over. I pursed my lips a bit then looked down at the table and waited for her to say something.
"I really like this so far!" She smiled. I smiled a bit then looked at her.
"But?"
"But, it kind of needs work."
"I know! That's why I'm asking you!" I giggled. Liz smiled before nodding and taking a pen out of her purse, and writing. I casually leaned forward to see what she was writing, but she quickly hid it and kept writing. I pouted, leaning back in my seat and crossing my arms. She's always so secretive when it comes to writing. I really hated it sometimes. I let out a small huff before brushing some hair out of my eyes.

"How about instead of saying, 'when you're feeling like youre nothing, I will save you from disaster,' you say, 'when you're broken, and you're shattered love will save you from disaster'?"
My mouth dropped open a bit after she said. "You. Are. A. Genius!" I laughed. She smiled hugely as she wrote that down and handed the notebook back at me.
"Everything else was good. Ryan's going to love it!"
I smiled and took a deep breath in. "I only hope so."

The next seven weeks went by so, so quickly. Honestly, the official last day of school was an amazing feeling. I couldn't help but to smile as my teacher handed me my report card. He next handed Liz and together we walked out of the classroom giggling. Liz and I have gotten so close over the last few weeks. We've recorded a bunch of new covers, and new songs and we're on way better terms. None of the girls really messed with us, or me for that matter. I haven't really even talked to Ryan lately either. I figured he was just busy. The texts haven't stopped much either. They keep going and going, getting more and more cruel and vindictive.
But anyways, words can not even begin to describe how excited I am to go to California. Ian said he along side of Nash and Cameron, would be waiting for us. I smiled hugely as I climbed into Liz's car, instantly buckling up. Liz started driving after following suit. We started laughing before driving to the airport. I felt my phone vibrate in my pocket. I pulled it out and read the text.
Ryan: I'm just trying to say I miss you, I miss youuuu(:
I couldn't help but to smile at the text before letting out a slight giggle. Once we got to the airport, we grabbed our stuff and walked over to our gate and sat down in the seats. I looked over at Liz who looked slightly nervous.
"You okay?"
"Yeah.. Just nervous.."
"About?"
"What if they dont like me?"
"They wont like you."
Her face fell down to the ground as a huge frown appeared.
"They'll love you." I said with a smile. She smiled as a laugh escaped her mouth. Our flight got called a few minutes later. We got up and boarded the plane, knowing Liz normally likes to take the window seats I quickly grabbed it just to be the annoying sister. I laughed quietly as she took the seat beside me. Within a few minutes, everyone had boarded and the plane took off.
Just three more hours, Megan. Three more hours.
~*~
Ryan's POV
"Nash! Nash! Nash!" I yelled as I poked his arm. "Nash!"
"What?" He whined loudly. "Don't you want to go and finish your song?"
"No! I gotta tell you something!"
Nash's eyes rolled a bit before he turned and looked at me.
"What?" He asked hesitantly. I smiled cutely then looked around the room before turning my attention back to him.
"Megan's coming back today!" I nearly yelled. I could feel the smile across my face double in size as her name escaped my mouth. I felt my cheeks get hot as Nash gained a smirk across his face.
"Ryan?" He said quietly.
"Uh huh?"
"I know she is!" he laughed. "You've told me every hour since you've woken up."
"I have? Oh.. Haha. Guess what?" I asked again. He gave me a look before I bobbed my head to each side.

"Megan's coming back!" We said in unison. I bursted out into laughter before my phone vibrated in my pocket. I pulled it out and saw Katherine's face appear on the screen. I frowned a bit before answering it.
"Hello?"
"Hey Ry!" She said with enthusiasm in her voice.
"Hi Katherine." I said back dryly.
"So, are we on for tonight still?"
"No. We were never on. So can you please stop calling me?"
"Cool! I'll see you tonight then."
"No, Katherine. Listen to me. We. Are not. On."
"Bye Ryan! Love you!"
Beep Beep Beep.
I let out a loud groan before slamming my head down onto the table infront of me.
"You okay?" Nash asked.
"No! Does it look like I'm okay? An 'okay' person does not slam his head onto a table and create a freaking shockalaca headache from Hell!"
I sat up and looked at Nash. He raised his eyebrows before bursting out into laughter. I whined and slammed my fist into the table.
"It's not funny!" I protested.
"It is though! All too much." He laughed again before shaking his head. "Ryan, you have a huge red spot in the middle of your forehead. Tell me how that is not funny?" He asked.
I whined before taking my hand and flicking his forehead with my fingers. Hard.
"Ow!" He yelped. I started to laugh as a red dot appeared on his forehead.
"It's not funny!" He protested. I nodded and laughed even harder.
"Nash, you have a huge red spot in the middle of your forehead. Tell me how that is not funny?" I mocked. Nash's jaw dropped as I stuck my tongue out at him and grinned. Nash punched my arm before getting up and walking over to a guitar, picking it up.
"What are you doing?" I asked. Nash wrapped his fingers around the neck and started playing an annoying tune.
"Ryan and Megan sitting in a tree! K I S S I N G! First comes love, then comes marriage, then what comes next? Oh, the baby in the baby carriage! But wait! That's not all. He's six foot tall and playing basketball!"
"Nash," I laughed, yanking the guitar out of his hands. "Stop it!" I felt my cheeks burn a bright red. Nash only laughed as he fell to the floor. I stomped my foot and pouted before pulling my phone out and texting Ian.
Me: IS. SHE. HERE. YET.
Ian: NO. SHE. IS. NOT.
Me: D: TELL HER TO HURRY UP.
Ian: Oh, okay. Brb while I go call the pilot of her plane and tell him a very anxious boyfriend is waiting.
Me: Your sarcasm hurts, bro.
Ian: Bro, dont even go there.
I laughed and slid my phone back into my pocket and looked over at Nash, who was still lying on the ground, laughing. I huffed again before grabbing his drink, tilting the bottle over and pouring it on him. He let out a sharp gasp before the laughter stopped and his face turned towards me, dead set with revenge,
"You just didnt go there."
"I did. I did just go there." I said. Nash sat up slowly before standing up to his full height. He grabbed my drink, returning the favor. But I didnt have a rootbeer like he did, no. I just had to have Starbucks. My mouth dropped open as I felt the warm liquid stream down my face. Normally, we'd just stop there. Nash and I dont get into too many fights, but when he did, it was deadly. And today was the day we were actually going at it. Which sucks for the people who own this recording place because they left us with a bunch of food to our pleasing.
"This is war." I smirked.
"HUT HUT HUT!" Nash dove behind the couch after grabbing a small gun filled with marshmallows. I grabbed the other one then slowly crept onto the couch slowly then peered over and started shooting the figure. Nash yelped before crawling away, and falling onto his back and shooting at me.
I quickly ducked onto the couch and hid quiet nicely. It got strangely quiet. Almost.. too quiet. I sat up slowly, examining the room quickly. I didnt see Nash anywhere. I slowly got up off the couch, taking a quick 360 of the area then walking out into the hallway. I took one step out before feeling something smash into the back of my head, neck and back. I let out a sharp yelp before falling to the ground. I heard shrieks of laughter. I groaned, pushing myself up off of the ground. Realizing its cake, I quickly returned the favor with a hand full of marshmallow into his face. I smothered it around until his face was sticky.
Nash let out a soft gasp before throwing pretzels at me. I laughed as we threw a bunch of different things at each other. From water bottles, to food to guitars and picks. Even Jamie's drumsticks got involved in the fight.
Within a few minutes, Nash and I had completely destroyed the place. And I mean, destroyed. We've been fixated on trying to fix a guitar that broke during all of the mayhem.
"I blame you." Nash finally said after a good ten minutes.
"Me? I blame you!"
"You started it!" He said with a stomp of the foot.
"You finished it." I smirked. I turned my head over to him. He was completely covered in foods of all sort, wet from head to toe, and was all sticky from the marshmallows. I myself looked no better than he did.
"Our recording studio is to the right!" We heard of manager say. Damn, we're screwed! I ran over to the door and quickly locked then turned to face Nash. The door juggled underneath me, causing me to jump about ten feet.
"What do we do?!" Nash mouth. I shrugged, letting out a whine as the door kept juggling. Nash and I quickly cleaned the mess up, but sadly not ourselves, then looked at the guitar.
"Uhm.."
We heard the clicking sound of the key lock turn. I doved for the couch, Nash following suit. We started to pretend we were at work.
"Oy! I must've locked the door without realizing it. Hello boys!" Our manager Jack sat with a smie.
"No no no, maybe we should put that there!" I pointed at the blank sheet of notebook paper then looked up at Jack and smiled. "Hello!"
Nash was holding the guitar in a way that made it look less broken.
"Writing some hits for us, yes?"
"Of course!"
"Then.. Why are you two a complete mess."
"I uhm.." I looked at Nash for help.
"Earthquake." He said quickly.
"Earthquake?"
"Earthquake." Nash and I said in unison.
I gave Nash my signature, 'you couldn't think of anything better look?!', he nodded with a shrug.
"I didnt feel the earth shake.." He said accusingly.
"Well, it might've not hit you! It was.. Quick.. and more of a PRE earthquake?"
"Yeah! It wasn't like deadly or anything. We're fine."
"So why is there food all over you?"
"Man, we had to save that food though!" I whined. Jack nodded then smiled.
"I'm glad you boys are alright."
He bought it. He actually freaking bought it. I sighed a sigh of relief before sinking into the couch and looking over at Nash. He looked just as relieved as I did. I felt my phone vibrate in my pocket. I pulled it out and grinned. Jack walked out a few moments later, leaving us along again.
Ian: SHE'S HERE. MY BRING MEGAN TO CALIFORNIA QUICKER RAIN DANCE WORKED! :D
Megan: Guess who just finally landed? ME
Me to Ian: ASDFGHJKL; BRING HER FOURTH, PEASANT.
Me to Megan:
Ian: I was actually planning on locking her away in my closet and calling her mine, dang. Ryan, why must you always spoil the fun?
Ryan: She is mine. :p
Ian: ba, we'll be there soon!
Me: WAIT NO IM COVERED IN CAKE AND WATER!
Ian: ...? I dont even want to know, okay? We'll be there in like a half hour.
A half hour? A half a freaking hour being I see Megan?! I whined before looking at Nash. Nash looked back at me and raised his eyebrows.
"Megan's here?"
I nodded.
"Yay! My shoe buddy is back!" I laughed before punching his arm, letting out a chuckle.
"Idiot."
Waiting for Megan was like waiting for the results of a test you just took and you're pretty sure you failed. Anxious and worried. We heard the car doors slam from outside. I nearly jumped out of my seat when I heard her voice coming from downstairs. I started to worry. What if she doesnt like me anymore? What if she's changed? What if her feelings changed? I swallowed a bit, now pacing. I heard the door knob turn. Ian walked in first, followed by Cameron, a blonde girl, and then.. Megan.
