《The Land of Stories: The Adventure Continues》Mother and Son

Matthew and Carrie walked up the stairs of the university.
"Carrie try and text them again please." Matthew said.
"Ok, I think it will work here." Carrie said. She took out her phone and typed...
"Hi Scott. My brother and sister and I took our Dad to see his sister. We'll be back Saturday. Please tell Henry." Scott soon texted her back saying. "Ok I will. Also why does it say you are texting me from the year 2025?"
Carrie decided not to answer him back. She didn't want to explain the long story to him, and she didn't even know if he would believe her.
"Ok Matt I told him. Let's find Mom, so we can save Dad." Carrie said walking into the University.
"Mom has to be around here somewhere. Do you think we'll recognize her?" Matthew asked.
"I think we would." Carrie and Matthew looked around and saw lots of students and teachers but not their mom. Matthew then tapped a teacher on the shoulder.
"Hey, do you know a girl named Bree Bailey?" Matthew asked him.
"Well, I know a Conner Bailey. He was in my class last year. I do know he is dating Bree Campbell. Is that who you mean?"
"Yes, he does. Do you know where she is?" Carrie asked.
"Yes, she should be getting out of class right now." The teacher said. "Oh there she is. The blond with the ponytail with bangs, on her phone."
"Thank you so much." Matthew said. The two walked over to her, they were like 5 feet away from her when they stopped. Tears formed in Matthew's eyes. He hadn't seen his mom in a little less than a year, and a bunch of memories started to flow through his brain.
Matthew sat on the kitchen table doing his homework struggling with his kindergarten homework. He tried to do it himself, but it just never worked. Matthew didn't like school, and he was for sure he'd fail if it wasn't for his mothers help.
"Hey bud, what are you doing it's Saturday. I'm taking your sister to the movies to see that new princess movie, do you want to come?" Conner said walking over to Matthew.
"Dad, why would I want to see a princess movie? I want to see that new superhero movie." Matthew said.

"Hey I do too, believe me." Conner said. "But I promised I would take your sister to the movies, if she got a hundred on her test, and she did."
"If I get a hundred on my spelling test this week will you take me to see the movie?" Matthew asked.
"Of course I will." Conner said.
"Daddy let's go! The movies going to start in an hour." Elizabeth said running down the stairs.
"We have to wait for mom to get home. We can't leave Matt here alone."
"Where is mom?" Matthew asked.
"She went to take Carrie to the doctor to get her shots." Conner said.
"Dad, why did you and mom have to have another baby?" Matthew asked.
"Yeah, wasn't I enough?" Elizabeth asked.
"You mean weren't we enough? We're only a year apart." Matthew said.
"No I meant me?" Elizabeth said and smiled.
"Come here Elizabeth." Conner said and sat down at the table. Elizabeth walked over and sat on her dads lap. "We had this same conversation a year ago remember? You know that mommy and I will always love you the exact same way we always have. But we have always said we wanted a big family, and we wanted you to have another little brother or sister."
"But that makes me the loser forgotten middle kid." Matthew said.
"Hey, your not the loser forgotten middle kid!"
"But that's what everyone says. The middle kid is always the one who is forgotten." Matthew said.
"Hey whoever said that is wrong. Being the middle kid is great! Your not the youngest and your not the oldest. It's perfect."
"Yeah being the oldest kid is hard. It's hard bossing you around." Elizabeth said. Matthew sighed and rolled his eyes.
"Well I wanted a baby brother, not a sister." Matthew said.
"Well, hey maybe mommy and I will have another baby, and maybe it'll be a boy." Conner said.
"Really! Can I have a brother?" Matthew said. "Because right now we're in a house full of girls."
"That's the way it should be. Girls rule!" Elizabeth said and put her fist in the air.
"Hey everyone, we're home." Bree said with 2 year old Carrie in her arms.
"Hey mommy, are you going to have another baby?" Elizabeth asked.

"Well, I don't know, maybe. Hey aren't you two supposed to be at a movie?" Bree said.
"Yes we were just leaving." Conner said as they walked towards the door. "Might want to talk to Matt, he seems a little down."
Bree nodded and walked over to the table and sat next to him with Carrie still in her arms.
"Hey, what's wrong?" Bree asked.
"I feel like I have nothing going for me. I'm not smart like you, I'm not creative like Dad. So what am I supposed to be when I grow up?"
"Why do you think your not smart and not creative? Your only 4, you have so much time to think about what your going to be." Bree said.
"So I don't have to be a writer, or whatever you are."
Bree laughed and smiled at her son. "I'm a Senator for the United States of America, you'll learn more about my job when your older, and no you don't have too. You could be an artist, you could be a firefighter and save people. Matt there are so many things you could be. Some jobs don't even exist yet and you could be the one to create them."
"Really! I thought I had to be what you are."
"No, of course not, you can be whatever you want to be." Bree said and smiled.
"Thanks mom." Matthew said and hugged her and his little sister. "And I wouldn't mind if you had another baby...as long as it's a boy."
Bree chuckled and smiled at her son. "Right now, I am perfectly fine with you, and Elizabeth, and Carrie. Also your father. I think our family is complete."
Matt and Carrie stood there, but Bree didn't notice them, becuase she was too drilled into her phone.
"What do we start with? Oh hey we're your kids from the future?" Carrie whispered.
"I don't know. But definitely not that." Matthew said. He tapped her on the shoulder and Bree turned around and looked at them.
"Hi, are you Bree Campbell?" Matthew asked.
"Yes, I am. Can I help you?" She asked.
"Um, we're not really sure what to say. But what would you think if we said we were your children?" Matthew said.
"I would think your crazy." Bree said and looked at them like they were crazy.
"What my brother is trying to explain is that we're from the future. To be specific, 2080." Carrie said.
"Ok, is this a joke? Did my boyfriend put you up to this?" Bree said.
"Um no. We're telling the truth." Carrie said.
"Listen! It's been a really weird day, we've fallen into a book, seen a ghost, got beat up by a unicorn, flew through portal, and I have ripped my $500 dollar jeans! So I'm not in a good mood right now!" Matthew yelled.
"Ok, ok dude chill. Wait did you say unicorn and portal?" Bree asked. Carrie and Matthew nodded. "Come with me."
The three walked out of the university and down the stairs. Bree soon spotted Conner, with Elizabeth and Charlie.
"Conner Johnathan Bailey, what did you do?" Bree said and crossed her arms.
"I didn't do anything. They came here by themselves, with help from my grandmother." Conner said. "Listen they say something has happened in their time in the Fairytale World, and they need our help.
Bree sighed and looked at the ground. She really didn't want this to happen right now. She had just started to study for her masters degree and she needed to focus. Bree and Conner haven't seen a crisis in years and now there is one, it just wasn't the right time for it to be happening.
"Bree if you don't want to come that's fine. Alex, and the rest of us can handle it." Conner said.
"Hell no. There's no way your leaving me out of this. I'll just tell my teachers there's been a family emergency and I have to go home."
"Ok then. Oh yeah this is apparently our oldest daughter Elizabeth and her daughter our granddaughter Charlie." Conner said.
"Nice to meet you, and I'm not really sure who these two are, but this one here likes to complain and yell a lot." Bree said and pointed to Matthew.
"The one who complains a lot is your middle child Matthew, and the red headed girl if your favorite child Carrie." Elizabeth said.
"Are we going to get Aunt Alex?" Charlie asked.
"Yes we are. All we have to do it go back to our apartment. I have something there to get us to where she is." Conner said.

Isekai Dungeoncrawl - Am Ende mit meinem Latein
I have always thought I would live out my life without any major surprises. You know, work on the estates of my parents, serve my time as a soldier, become a senator, a praetor, maybe a consul in time. I thought I will live the life that a Roman noble of my standing can count on. But this was not to be. My previously simple life got suddenly very complicated. I was taken from my home, and now I have to live in a world where no one speaks Latin, no one prays to my gods, and no one knows what the heck garum is. Before, I thought I had all the answers, but now only questions remain. Will I survive? Will I find my way back home? Will I ever be able to get the savage bastards living here to adopt the great accomplishments of Roman civilisation? Not even the gods know the answers. One thing is for sure: should I ever get home again; I will never set a foot outside of my estate without a healthy stockpile of garum. The cover is from Peter Paul Rubens' "The Death of Publius Decius Mus" This webnovel is partially based on a DnD campaign where a party of three players played the adventures The Sunless Citadel, The Forge of Fury and The Witches of Westwater.

''He's broken, are you sure this is a good idea?'' ''It's gonna be alright, it'll become a different timeline. I will supply the power for it myself, won't cost you anything and you can watch it play out with me.'' ''If you're sure dear, the last time we did this it didn't turn out so good for the world though.'' ''It's gonna be fine! ...Probably.'' Journey with him as he tries for the things that were ever out of his reach in his last life, enjoyment, fulfillment, happiness... and maybe even love. This is my first time writing anything. I at least hope you'll word it in a constructive way so I could remedy and/or learn from it. Enjoy.

The Forest's Guardian
Follow Iago, a man with a past unknown even to himself, who has dedicated his life to defending the Beasts of the Awakened Forest - sentient creatures with magical abilities highly sought after by poachers. He must battle Mages and foot soldiers alike, all while attempting to gain the trust of the Beasts as a whole, and grappling with his own motivations for what he does. Things were looking up for the Forest, until a new threat emerged, and the poachers gained far greater resources and numbers than ever before. Now he must face off against an Archmage - and the support of the Forest is not guarenteed. Old powers must be persuaded to assist, or the Forest will fall forever. I'm writing this for fun and don't think it's particularly good, but it's fun to write so I figure I may as well upload it here! If you give it a read, thank you, and I hope you enjoy! Trying my best to release a chapter every other day, barring most weekends/holidays (though I will still try to get them out, but I make no promises) [participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge]
