The Devil in Grey

Several weeks has passed. And Y/N has been sleeping with Alice for all those weeks. Whenever he tries to tell Alice that he doesn't need to sleep with her anymore. She just disregard it and pushes him indirectly to sleep next to her.

So Y/N just let it be.

Today is a normal afternoon day.

With Y/N bored out of his skull.

He was on the living room,

slouching on the couch, watching

shows on the big flat screen TV.

He just feels himself being slowly

eaten by the soft jaws of the couch.

He yawns.

He grabbed the remote

and closed the television.

Y/N : "Maybe I can do

something with Alice..."

He got up and walked upstairs,

going to the door of Alice's room.

He knocked.

The door opened, revealing a smiling Alice. Alice has been smiling alot lately, her previous blank and emotionless expression now have become more expressive.

Definitely expressive.

Always bearing a sweet smile,

but something is behind that

smile, something ominous.

Alice : "Hello, Y/N."

Y/N : "Hello, Alice. Are

you doing something?"

Alice : "No."

Y/N : "Oh, do you have any plans to do something? I'm quite bored, you see."

Alice : "A friend was inviting me to go to a shooting range. But I rejected it."

Y/N : "Oh, why? I would have

allowed you to have time off work."

Alice : "I want to be wi- I mean, I want to make sure you are safe, at all times."

Y/N : "Oh... Thank you, Alice, you're the best bodyguard." Y/N smiled to Alice.

Alice felt her heart flutter,

seeing Y/N's smile and

hearing those words.

Alice : "It's my job..." She said, blushing.

Y/N : "Oh, I have an idea, what if I

come with you to the shooting range?"

Alice : "That's a good idea." Alice smiled.

The two went downstairs to

Lucius inorder ask for his permission.

Lucius : "A shooting range? Aren't

you traumatized by guns, Y/N?"

Y/N : "Why would I be...?"

Lucius : "Because of Emma...?"

Y/N : "Lucius. Several week has already passed since her death. And for the record, it was a gun that saved me

from death."

Lucius : "And for the record, it was a gun that almost killed you too. I'm just concerned for you, Y/N. I don't want you experience any emotional distress."

Y/N : "I'm fine, really."

Lucius sighed.

Lucius : "Fine... Alice,

make sure you protect Y/N."

Alice nodded.

Alice : "They will pick us up with a car."

Y/N : "Oh, Lucius, can you tell the gatekeeper to let the car in?"

Lucius : "Ofcourse." He grabbed

his phone, opening it, he then

dialed the gatekeeper.

After quickly getting Lucius's approval. The two started waiting outside of the mansion.

The car would just go

in and pick them up.

As they waited, they looked around the landscape inside the mansion walls. The landscape of the mansion is really beautiful, a large grass lawn with gardens within.

The gardens contain bushes, trees and different kind of beautiful and colorful flowers. All tended by the gardeners.

Staring at the gardens of the mansion will give you a sense of soft appreciation for the beauty of nature.

Y/N : "By the way, Alice, who

is this friend of yours?"

Alice : "You actually already know her."

Y/N : "Really? Who?"

Alice : "You'll find out."

Y/N : "Oh-"

After some more time waiting, they spotted a black car approaching them.

The car stopped infront of the front porch of the mansion, the platform that Y/N and Alice were standing on.

The front door of the car opened, revealing the driver, who was a lady

who had silver hair, smiling widely like a devil.

It was Aurum.

Aurum : "Hey!"

Aurum was wearing casual clothing. Jeans and a grey polo. Casual clothing looked very good on her.

Aurum approached them.

Aurum : "Sir Y/N, you'll be coming right?" She asked with the same devil-like smile.

Y/N : "Uhh... Yeah!"

Alice : "He never went gun shooting before, and he might get scared of guns, so don't scare him, Aurum."

Y/N : "I won't get scared-"

Aurum chuckled.

Aurum : "I won't scare you, sir Y/N."

Y/N : "Uhh, you can drop the 'sir'."

Hearing Y/N allowing Aurum to call

him just by his name without the "sir"

is somehow making her feel... cold.

She's the only one who

can call him by his name.

Aurum : "Oh. Y/N." She said his name.

Y/N : "Yeah- It's not like I'm your boss."

Aurum : "You were my potential

client, though, I think its better to

be respectful for any possible future

job opportunity."

Alice : "What do you mean...?"

Aurum : "Maybe he can replace you with me...?" She smiled teasefully.

Alice : She hissed aggressively.

Aurum : "Woah, I'm just kidding Alice."

She explained as her smile faded away.

Alice turned to Y/N.

Alice : "You'll never replace me with another bodyguard, right, Y/N?" She asked, desperate for assurance.

She doesn't ever want to have

another client other than Y/N.

Y/N : "No, Alice, you protected my life. And I will never replace you for that."
