(So then, I did happen to find time to do some art for you guys :D I thought I wasn't going to be able, but alas- I took out almost two hours to do this for everyone! (Even if I was a bit lazy while drawing today haha. Once again, please do remember that this piece does belong to me.) I hope that you all enjoy this along with the chapter!~)

---(Y/n)'s Pov---

Into the next day, Sans was still growling at me for wanting to put a shirt on. Needless to say, I didn't take too kindly to his aggressive behavior. I tried getting off of the bed to grab my clothes, but every time that he found me doing so... he tossed me straight back into the comfort of his mattress.

Last night, he slipped off my shoes to inspect my feet, only to grow more pissed off at how abused they seemed from all of my walking. I didn't take many breaks... not to mention the fact that he bandaged my injury from the bear trap. I never woke up for him doing that, which I found surprising.

Luckily, Sans vanished after Papyrus yelled something about finding food... but when he mentioned giving some to the other Human, Sans teleported to confront that situation. I could hear their words from downstairs, even if Sans was making an effort to be quiet. "No."

"THE OTHER HUMAN IS ALL BONES SANS, HOW ARE WE SUPPOSED TO EAT IT LIKE THAT?"

This statement was followed by Sans' irritated growl. "What about (Y/n), Paps. She barely eats anything as it is. I don't give a shit if the other Human doesn't get fed, (Y/n) is our priority. Just like how she made us hers."

Papyrus seemed to think about his words before offering a nod. I was somewhat surprised by Sans' hostility towards to such a small thing, he probably would have gotten rid of Aliza if it weren't for her resetting- actually, she'd be dead by now since she was practically kill on sight.

......

How many times has she died so far?

Once I was sure that Sans left to pick up said food, I decided to sit up with my back facing the door. With Sans gone, the entrance creaked open and then slowly closed behind someone. I wasn't really expecting it in my tired state of mind to be Aliza- especially since I assumed her to have gotten the message earlier. Was hanging upside-down not enough for her? "I thought that hanging you upside-down would keep my threat in your head. But I suppose that your idiocy knows no bounds."

"Save it. You can't move right now, so it's a perfect time to kill you." She responded with hostility. Rolling my (E/c) eyes, I watched as she froze in place... she noticed that I was shirtless, and that my back was both littered in bruises and cuts.

"Don't you find this to be slightly unfair?" I asked suddenly. Her eyes tore away from the marks, only to stare into my gaze. My head was leaned over enough to look at her, but I kept my back turned so that my body wouldn't be too exposed.

"What? You didn't find the situation before killing my father to be unfair?" She snapped back, clearly upset.

"I am not sure that I understand."

"He just finished reading me a bedtime story! How is that fair!?" Arching a brow, I really wasn't seeing her point. That man deserved to die, and I was honestly fair about my actions. However, I didn't realize that his child saw me kill him. I didn't really even notice the presence of her regardless.

"I let him finish, didn't I?" I responded in a questioning tone. Right then, I prepared myself for her attack. She drew out the knife that she was holding, only to try and stab it into me. I couldn't move effectively with impaired movement, but I could probably restrain her with my hands... ugh. What a pain.

Suddenly, Aliza stopped in her tracks. I couldn't really see why, but she was giving me a 'oh shit' look. A low humming sound could be heard above me, causing my eyes to slowly follow hers into looking up. Above me, there was a floating dragon skull. It was letting out a warning snarl, which immediately caused the girl to jump back.

Once her body hit someone that was standing behind her, she immediately yelped. Sans' hands came down on her shoulders in an instant, pinning her in place. At the sound of her knife clanging on the floor, I wanted to turn around sharply- but Sans let out a primitive growl of disapproval since my chest was void of clothing.

Deciding to not upset him, I watched as his floating dragon skull lowered itself to nudge my chest affectionately. Since the strange use of magic seemed somewhat adorable, I reluctantly moved my hands into petting it casually.

The skeleton let out a hum of content while Aliza shook out of fear. She started to mumble out small apologies, but my 'Mate' wasn't having it. He forgot to lock the door this morning... and with how vulnerable I was, he was acting very hostile. "Shut up, bitch. I didn't fucking ask to hear your excuses."

It sounded like he was doing everything in his power to stop himself from snapping her neck. The resets were starting to get repetitive, and they easily messed with our perception of time. Every time she found herself going back, I found myself losing a bit of my work. If I was constructing my prototype further, or just going through some papers... everything grew to be an inconvenience when it came to a reset. "N-No! Stop, what are you doing?!"

At the sound of her panicked pleading, Sans started to drag the girl out of his room. He had her held by her brown hair, not caring if she was screaming in protest. Papyrus on the other hand just blankly stared at the scene from downstairs, not really caring. It was almost like he had seen it hundreds of times.

Once I couldn't hear her crying and shouting, the summoned skull floated towards the door and nudged it closed. It took a moment to return to me before shifting its attention to my bite wound. I think that Gaster said something about this too... like how a Monster's magic could recognize its mate.

Once it let out a low content rumble, the creature pulled away slightly to further inspect me for any wounds that didn't belong to Sans. I only stayed still during this, not wanting to upset its childlike curiosity. "Say... your master didn't happen to teach you how to pick up clothes?"

Thinking back to the socks that scattered the house along with one of Paps' notes attached to it, I quickly dismissed that idea. Someone as lazy as him could of just as easily teleported all of the stray clothing... and yet he never bothered to do it.

At the feeling of cold boney fingers tracing several of the scratches on my body, I knew that Sans was back. He shoved me lightly against his bed, only to climb on top of me. Almost immediately, I saw how he leaned down to take in my scent... was he looking for something? Next, he started to search for something intently. "That Human didn't hurt you, right?"

"I would of stopped her." I replied, causing him to give me a nod of understanding. For once, he chose not to doubt me. I guess that seeing me in action so many times along with high LV, he didn't need to reconsider the potential of my strength.

"I don't doubt it, cupcake. But still. M' not gonna let anything hurt you. Well... except for me... heh."

Was that meant to be sweet or sadistic?

Shaking my head as he let me up, I watched as the floating skull vanished with little effort. I guess that Sans kept it around as reassurance for him leaving. "I am feeling much better. That cold practically left as soon as it came."

"My mark did that. The magic that I put in your bite works with your system to expel illness. It doesn't always work, but It does keep you pretty healthy." he replied with a small chuckle. His knuckle was pressed against his cheekbone, leaving him to look lazy as he just stared at me. Taking in his appearance more, I noticed that he had a lot of blood on his hoodie- and it was fresh.

"You should change." I suddenly mused. As if he noticed my staring, Sans gave me a nod. I was expecting for him to be a bit more rebellious, but he instead complied by taking off the coat. He then shoved it on the floor while going to pick up the one that I was wearing. It was cleaner... almost spotless.

"Smells like ya." He explained with a deep laugh. I didn't know how to respond to him, and thankfully... I didn't have to. Papyrus started shouting from the opposite end of the door at Sans.

"SANS! YOU AND (Y/N) NEED TO GET SOME AIR. IT ISN'T HEALTHY TO BE IN YOUR ROOM ALL DAY!" Paps shouted. Sans let out a small groan before deciding to drag my body into his ribcage so that he could further take in my scent.

"But Paps, she can't even walk." He replied loudly enough for his brother to hear. Papyrus wasn't having any of it. I could practically see him crossing his arms with annoyance as Sans took a strand of my hair, staring at it with a content expression. He thought he won this, until Papyrus yelled something out at him...

"AND NEITHER CAN CORPSES! BUT THAT HASN'T STOPPED YOU BEFORE!"

Um... what exactly was he talking about? This sounded like a story that I wanted to hear, but Sans clearly didn't want to elaborate. "Fine."

With that said, Sans took a look at my sensitive bite mark... and upon realizing that nothing would interfere with it, he grabbed one of his white shirts and threw it over my body. Once I was covered, I turned to him with a waiting look. "My coat?"

"Nah, you won't need it." Sans said with a calm grin. I was about to step out on the floor, but he was quick to stop me by dragging my back into his chest. Right after, I noticed that our scenery changed to outskirts of Snowdin, with a lot of snow.

Sans was already sitting in one of his sentry stations with a lazy posture. Since I was in his lap, I made a move to get up... however, that was short lived once I felt him dragging me into his open hoodie. At the sound of him zipping it up, I let out a sigh of irritation. He wasn't being too weird, or trying to sexually assault me in some way- so I didn't bother resisting against him.

Once my foot and leg healed, I was going to make sure to put him through a dreadful time. Feeling his chilling breath on the back of my neck, Sans situated himself to be as comfortable as possible. He managed to achieve catering to Papyrus by going outside, while still being lazy with the full intent on taking a nap.

"Papyrus tells you to get some air... and this is your idea of that?" I asked with a huff of irritation. Sans merely shrugged his shoulders, moving one leg up to put his foot against the table of his station. He looked very intimidating, ready to lash out if need be. With so much blood on him from earlier, I felt a little bit curious towards Aliza's injuries...

But for now? I decided to take it easy for just today. I started to feel conflicted on how I saw Sans, not really knowing if he was truly a creature from a nightmare, or just a loving skeleton. Maybe both? Regardless. how could I say no with this obnoxious purring skeleton behind me?
