---(Y/n)'s Pov---

Since Sans still refused to give me back my prototype, I instead started to wander around Snowdin's forest. It's been a few days since the questions took place... and that skeleton has practically been watching my every move. Sleep wasn't something that I managed to do, I was too restless with the attack of that sniper. No doubt some other group was preparing to enter this place.

When I tried to tell Sans And Papyrus about the potential threat, they merely gave me an odd look and stated that I was now even more essential than before. Apparently, I was capable of attracting their dinner into the Undergound.

Two days ago, I saw Sans sharpening a piece of wood with his hatchet. He was smirking down at his work in a very crazed way. When I asked him about what he was doing, he only looked up and said "Sometimes, cupcake... the best way to get to the root of a problem is to spear off the head of it. Heheheheehe..."

Imagine my irritation when he used that nickname. Actually, he started calling me by a lot of different things that all revolved around food. It started to become rare for him to say my name- unless of course he was asking me a serious question.

Anyway, lets get back to the matter at hand. I wasn't exactly wandering around the forest. Once I conduct the repairs of the Core, I will need to edit a few things in it's functions to insure that these save points will no longer exist. Though, I am fairly certain that they are all corrupted and incapable of being properly used.

And Sans wasn't following me for once... ugh.

Bringing my gloved hand up to my chin to think more on that, I did feel as though these areas did still hold a concentration of magical energy similar to a save point. However, I doubted that it could be properly accessed.

Hmm....

................

.............................

I was so lost in thought, and my perception was somewhat disoriented from my lack of sleep that I didn't realize myself bumping into a small figure. No... maybe it was the lack of malicious intent that I was looking for in others that prevented me from sensing this person. Looking down, I saw that I bumped into a child who fell to the ground. She was thin, clearly panicked and wearing a purple dress that was tattered.

"I am s-so... sorr-" She tried to say to me as I looked down on her with my neutral expression. Before she could say her little apology, sharpened bones pierced through the snowy ground beneath her, stabbing through her flesh and killing her in an instant. The bones slid past my body at either side, never once hitting me but easily spilling some blood onto my cheek. At the sound of her pale purple Soul shattering, I turned around to see Sans with his hand raised.

The skeleton slowly started to walk into my direction, but only released his magic upon noticing the child's death. I knew that Sans was aggressive but-

Did he seriously just attack her for bumping into me? Was that worth her life? Then again, I had to remember that I was accepted here by both skeletons. "Heh."

His small chuckle was all I heard before I felt it- a reset? Was that actually possible? And it occurred just before his arms were able to reach around my body in what seemed like an embrace.

Maybe I was simply daydreaming, I mean, I am fairly exhausted. Coming back to reality, I found myself walking again. Deciding not to take the same route due to my suspicions, I instead turned around to cross the bridge that would lead me to Sans' sentry station.

A gust of chilling wind sent to back of my black coat fluttering behind me along with my scarf. Something seemed colder than usual- and it wasn't just the temperature. Pulling up the fabric of my scarf further, I soon came upon the station. To my surprise, Sans was sitting there asleep? Or was he faking it again?

Lately, he was hiding his emotions so well that I couldn't predict him in the slightest. In his hand, he firmly clutched my prototype. If he were trying to lure me in, wouldn't he have it placed further in front of him? That did fortify the possibility that he is actually asleep.

Walking forward, I cautiously moved towards him. I wanted to snatch the device away from him, at least then, I would no longer be on his leash. When I was finally standing in front of him, I reached my hand forward to grab it... I was so close until I felt him grabbing my wrist.

Sans raised his head and gave me a chilling glare. I wanted to try and pull him over my shoulder again, but I knew that I might break my prototype in the action... not only that, but he was prepared this time. He wasn't throwing his weight off balance to give me the chance. Damnit.

This time, he pulled my body over the counter aggressively. I am starting to think that this was a bad idea.

---Aliza's Pov---

"Aliza! You can't give up just yet!" Once the word reset, I was met with the familiar face of Flowey. I was so happy to see him that I immediately wrapped my arms around his body in a firm hug.

The small flower looked back with his single eye narrowed, he seemed very unsure. "Hey, Aliza... there seems to be a new rule to not getting too close to Sans. Are you listening?"

I nodded frantically while shaking. He turned to face me with a dull, but serious expression. "I think that Sans views her differently from food. If he is nearby, DON'T touch her."

"Just touch?" I suddenly asked with a small squeak of my voice. The flower nodded unsurely, not sure of what to say. From what I could tell, It was weird by itself for Sans to be acting like that. From the ruins, I knew that he was dangerous with that surprise attack that he pulled from beyond the ruins door.

I was running from Toriel, moving fast enough to evade her, but too fast to stop when Sans' bones sprung up from the ground to impale me. I had to switch around my tactics to survive- but at what cost?

Running a hand against the scar on my throat, I knew that I was going to be in for a horrible time. "I'll be careful, Flowey..."

"I traveled with that Human before too, she is really smart. I don't know what she did to make Sans act like that, but he is unpredictable. Anyway, see ya later!"

And with that, he was gone...

Maybe if Flowey traveled with her in the past, perhaps she is a nice person? Could she help me get out of here?! With some newfound hope, I started to go towards the bridge. My stomach growled loudly at me as I crossed it... I couldn't help it, I am hungry.

Once my bare feet managed to bring me across the bridge, I saw something that I really didn't expect. Sure Sans was sitting on a chair in a station, completely passed out... but tucked away in not only his grip, but in his fluffy stained coat was that girl. She was basically on his lap, looking kind of annoyed but maybe not so awake. How could she be almost sleeping in this place? And why was that skeleton not trying to murder her?

Flowey told me himself that Sans didn't like people touching him. Sure if he is killing someone, he'll initiate contact... but this?

Not to mention when I first met the flower... I was so scared when I first fell. The smell of decaying flesh quickly hit my nose and caused me to gag. Only when I struggled to get closer to Flowey was when I saw it.

There was spear facing the bed of flowers where I fell. On the tip of the sharpened piece of wood was a head. It was practically beyond mutilated and looked like some kind of warning. Flowey told me that Sans came by to put it there, and was apparently giggling during his actions.

Shivering at the thought, I finally snapped back into reality when I felt myself being watched. My eyes locked with the girl, she had this intimidating look that I just couldn't place. Who was she? Why did she suddenly make me feel so stressed out... almost like a cornered rabbit.

And then, as if she noticed how she was staring at me, her (E/c) stare became more relaxed. Cold, but at least not as scary.

Cautiously I took a step forward. She didn't say anything, and from under the coat it didn't look like she could properly move. "Ex-excuse me..."

My words were hushed and caused her to give me her attention. Since I was closer, I could make out some kind of noise coming from the skeleton behind her. His bones were rattling in an almost calming way... was he purring?

Taking one more step, I could start to feel the tension rising. "Could... you help m-me?"

"If you manage to somehow remove his grip from my body, perhaps I will be willing to provide you with some kind of assistance. Though I do not think that you will be as successful in such. He can be quite adamant."

What she said caught me off guard. From the look that she was just giving me, I was expecting for her to be a lot more rough with her tone of voice and dialogue. But instead? Her words were spoken elegantly with a lot of class.

Maybe I was also half expecting for her to be kind of crazy. Most of the inhabitants of the Underground are insane.

Moving closer to her, I was somewhat determined to make a new friend that I could maybe cling to. However, once I moved slightly closer, the strange rumbling noise stopped... and Sans' dark baritone voice sent a shiver right down my spine.

"Take another step. I fucking dare you."

His eyes were still sealed shut, but I knew that he was awake from that dangerous smile that he was flashing me. "C-could you please... l-l-let her... go...?"

He wouldn't be able to do much if she was being held like that, right? I mean... both of his arms shifted to hold her down firmly, even if she was easily tucked away in his zipped up hoodie.

......

Turns out that I was wrong.

With Sans' patience running thin, I heard the sound of something. It was almost like low hum of magical energy... a growl? Turning around, I came face to face with a tattered looking dragon skull. The skeletal head was floating above the ground, and soon enough, opened it's mouth to release a blast of energy.

In an instant, half of my body was gone, leaving behind a pool of blood. Seared by the creature that required very little effort to control.

The last thing that I heard before entering my loading screen was a quiet mumble... I almost didn't catch it, but it sounded so nonchalant yet calming at the same time.

Who would of thought that Sans could sound so at ease... though I felt a little upset that they were perfectly fine with not talking about the murder that just happened in front of them.

"Try to get some sleep, (Y/n)."
