themselves to help the Telmarines onto the bank, climbing out of the water and abandoning their swords onto the sand. The survivors were helped with their wounds, dwarves reaching up to clean their cuts and Fawn's bandaging their harsher injuries. It was certainly a sight.

Catherine smiled as she took a look around; Telmarines helping Narnians, Narnians helping Telmarines. She chuckled at the strange behaviour, as if they hadn't been fighting only several minutes earlier, the resentment seeming to have faded into a strict understanding and strength they used to their advantage.

A figure appeared behind her, placing a soft hand on the bottom of her back, careful not to disturb the peaceful ambience she held around herself.

'Are you alright?' Edmund asked, with a small smile.

Catherine spun around to him, smiling as she noticed a small cut lining his eyebrow, blood seeping into his dark hair. Without thinking, she reached up and lightly traced it with her thumb, frowning as it came back, drenched in red.

'Let me help you,' She said, instantly turning and gathering a few medicinal items from a nearby Minotaur and reaching over to dab his face with a focused expression. Edmund let out a low, tired chuckle.

'Thanks.' He said. 'You've seemed to make a habit of fixing me.'

Catherine flashed him a grin. 'Nobody needs to fix you, Edmund Pevensie.'

'Sometimes I feel like that's not entirely true.' He denied with a soft smile. He sighed and gestured across the river bank with a soft nudge of his head. 'Come on. There's someone I want you to meet.'

...

he wanted her to meet someone, she hadn't expected him to take her towards Susan, Peter and Lucy, nevermind her own brother.

She sent him a strange look, turning around and raising her eyebrow before letting out a large sigh and walking over to Caspian, determinedly, and offering him to shake a hand.

'Hi, I'm Catherine. Edmund wants me to meet you-'

Caspian snorted and threw his head back with a dramatic bark of laughter, as Edmund rolled his eyes behind her.

'No, no, no. I'm not stupid.' He says. 'I meant him.'

Catherine held back a swear, suddenly aware that there was a Lion making its way towards her, an amused grin playing on it's lips. She snapped her head around her shoulders to pass Edmund a dirty glare, which he responded with a teasing smile and a tilt of his head.

Instantly, she knelt down, bowing to her knees. Soon, the Pevensies and her brother followed in suit.

'Rise, Kings and Queens of Narnia.' Aslan announces, with a large boom in his voice.

The Pevensies rose immediately, Lucy beginning to frown as she noticed Catherine and Caspian still on their knees. Aslan graced his lips with another smile.

'All of you.'

Catherine snapped her head up in surprise and spun around to Caspian, who looked up slowly. He sighed, deeply, turning to Catherine, sadly. There was a few seconds of silence as the siblings exchanged words between a wordless glance. Caspian pressed his lips into a firm line and addressed the Lion.

'We do not think we are ready, your highness.'

'And it is for that very reason that I know you are.' Aslan said, instantly. 'You are a great soldier, Princess Catherine, as you have proved many times over. And Prince Caspian, a great leader, suit to be King. Rise.'

Reluctantly, they rose to their feet, Caspian shooting a look at Edmund beside him, who nodded acceptingly. Caspian felt his cheeks heat up in pride and turned back to his sister, a wide grin adorning his features.

Bagpipes began to play behind the, and several mice shove past their feet, carrying a familiar leader on a small stretcher. Lucy gasps, instantly running forwards and opening her healing cordial, and Catherine felt her heart skip, uncertain of Reepicheep's fate. Lucy crouched by his side, and dropped a bead of rose liquid onto his open mouth, sinking into his tongue. Reepicheep exhales in one large breath, sitting up with a gasp.

'Oh!' He says, surprise. 'Thank you, your majesty-!'

Lucy gives him a smile as he jumps up, bowing before locking eyes with Aslan. His heart stops and the fear and surprise is very evident on his face. 'Hail, Aslan! It is a great honour to be in your- Oh!'

He starts to bow, only to stumble forwards and lose his balance. Surprised and confused, he pivoted in a circle and gasped, noticing that he was missing a tail. A mouse without a tail.

He let out a characteristic squeak.

'I am completely out of countenance!' He exclaimed, turning shyly towards the Lion. 'I must crave your indulgence for appearing in this unseemly fashion.'

Reepicheep turns back to Lucy with a hopeful expression. 'Perhaps... a drop more?'

Lucy winced, sadly. 'I don't think it does that.'

'You could give it a go?' He shrugged.

'It become you well, Small One.' Aslan said.

'All the same, Great King.' Reepicheep said with a sigh. 'I regret that I must withdrawal. For a tail is the honour and glory of a mouse.'

He rests his sword on his hands, holding out towards him. Aslan let out a breathy, low chuckle.

'Perhaps you think too much of your honour, friend.'

Friend. Aslan thought of him as his friend.

Another incoherent voice left his mouth, before he regained his stance and found his words.

'It's not just the honour.' Reepicheep continued. 'It's also great for balance... and climbing... and grabbing things...'

He sighed sadly, trailing off to day-dream about a previous life. Catherine smiled, reassuringly and crouched down to his level. He scampered over to her with a small, unbalanced struggle and she held out her hand for him to hold. He wrapped his palm around her pinky-finger, exhaling.

Reepicheep turns to see one of his soldiers, holding out a sword to their tail, followed by the remaining mice, a ripple falling in line as they did the same.

'May it please your High Majesty,' He claimed. 'We will not bear the shame of wearing an honour denied to our chief.'

Catherine grinned, feeling pride and loyalty swell in her heart. Aslan laughed, shaking his large maine.

'Not for your dignity, but for the love of your people...' He says, pausing as he works his magic. Reepicheep smiles and his soldiers recoil in shock, instantly letting their tails drop from their hands.

'Oh, look!' Reepicheep calls out, swerving around to show everybody his tail. 'Thank you, thank you, my liege! I will treasure it always! From this day forwards, it will serve me as a great reminder of my huge humility!'

Aslan laughs once more, turning towards Lucy with an expectant look.

'Now, where is this dear little friend you've told me so much about?'

Trumpkin, sensing the newfound attention, turned away from the soldiers with a side-glance to the royals. He blushed, shyly and averted his attention to the ground as he made his way towards them, bowing down instantly.

Aslan roared, strong and mighty, his teeth sharp and weaponized, making Trumpkin wince and shudder. Lucy grinned, chuckling.

'Do you see him now?'

Trumpkin turns away, ashamed and embarrassed, and everybody begins to laugh. Edmund and Catherine turn to eachother, simultaneously and slowly begin to smirk, smugly.

I'm sorry, I feel like this chapters kind of boring, but I'll probably edit it later anyways. We're almost at the end, I'm very excited.
