The Wheeler twins were sitting at the dining room table, devastated. Jake was staring at the wall with tears in his eyes. Ivy wasn't as upset as she was before, if anything she actually felt kind of relived.

They didn't have to deal with Luke anymore.

"Jake? Ivy?" Someone said, storming into the room. Ivy looked up and saw Devon's mom walking in the house.

"I'm detective Evans." She said sharply. A man walked in behind her and Ivy frowned.

"This is my partner, detective Peyton."

"Great." Ivy muttered under her breath.

"I think you two are in the same class as my son." Evans said, dragging an extra chair over to the table.

Jake nodded. "Devon.."

"That's right." She agreed.

Ivy rolled her eyes and fixated on the Chucky doll in the seat next to her. There was something off about him, not just that he was talking by himself at the talent show.

"Look, your uncle is on his way over. He's gonna take you to stay at his place tonight." Devon's mom added.

Ivy groaned. "I'd rather be homeless.."

"I cannot imagine what you two are going through. You sure you don't want to see the grief counselor?"

Jake shook his head while Ivy leaned back in her seat and chuckled. "Yeah, I totally wanna talk to some stuck up bitch who gets paid to listen to me.. sounds great.."

"Okay." Detective Evans sighed. "I just have a couple of questions, if you're up for it.. either of you."

Ivy raised an eyebrow at the woman. "Ask away, it's not like we father figure we've ever known and are classified as orphans."

Jake nudged her slightly.

"Is that okay with you Jake?" Devon's mom continued.

Detective Peyton slid a recording device onto the table.

"Did you know there was a break in at the school last night?" She asked, making Ivy frown.

"No." Jake muttered.

"No real harm done.. god knows I've done worse in my day." Evans went on. "The funny thing is, the only thing missing was a doll."

The two teens looked down at the Chucky doll.

"The teacher said it belongs to you, Jake." The second detective pointed out.

"I caught your act at school today." Evans added. "You were incredible."

Jake looked down at the floor. "I-I'm sorry.." He stuttered.

"I shouldn't have lied.. I've never done anything like that before-"

"Don't worry." Evans interrupted. "You're not in any kind of trouble." She turned to the second Wheeler.

"I looked at your school record. You're quite the trouble maker. Did you know he broke into the school? Did you help him, Ivy?"

The teen's eyebrows furrowed. "What kind of question is that? Of course I helped. He's my brother."

The detectives looked at each other and sighed.

"I just want to get something straight." Evans continued.

"So, you broke into the school in the middle of the night just to get your doll?"

Jake nodded. "Ya, I needed him to practice for the talent show.."

Before anyone could say anything else, Logan, Luke's brother, walked into the house.

Jake spun around and stood up immediately, probably to get away from the detectives. He threw his arms around their uncle and Ivy cringed.

"It's alright." Logan reassured them.

They pulled away from each other and a body bag was dragged into the room on a gurney. Ivy turned, gasping when she saw her dad's mutilated face.

She could see the heartbreak of Logan's face. Ivy stared at the corpse of her father. She couldn't imagine what he was going through. If something were to happen to Jake, she would go insane.

Jake started to breathe heavier, his eyes filled with tears.

"I'm sorry.." He whispered.

Logan grabbed him by the shoulders. "It's ok, it was an accident."

Ivy glanced back at Chucky and sighed. "Ya, accident.."

"It's not your fault." Logan added. "You both okay?" Ivy turned to him and rolled her eyes.

"Was he drinking?"

Detective Payton nodded. "Looks like it, yes."

Logan sighed. "Thank you, come on." He gestured for Ivy to get up. She hesitated for a second then stood up from the table and walked over to Jake.

He grabbed Chucky out of the chair and Ivy backed up.

"Hey, Jake, Ivy." The detective called out as they made their way over to the door.

"What happened to your nose, and your cheek?" She asked, examining their injuries. Ivy rubbed the bruise on her cheek and shrugged.

"We were practicing self-defense." She replied, a smirk spreading across her face. "He was the dummy."

Devon's mom nodded, "Oh, okay.."

"Thank you. I'm very sorry for your loss."

Ivy grabbed her twin brother's hand and yanked him out the door.

"You need to get rid of that thing." She said, gesturing to the doll in his grasp.

"Why?" He questioned.

Ivy frowned. "Because it creeps me the hell out, and you saw it talking by itself at the talent show."

Before he could respond, Logan walked out of the house and pushed them forward. "Come on, let's go.."

The car ride was short but excruciatingly quiet. None of them said anything to each other. Jake was staring out the window, his head lowered and Ivy made sure the doll on his arms was as far away from her as possible.

Once they pulled into the driveway, Ivy felt a sick feeling in her stomach. She was not happy about the new living arrangement.. living with their ass hole cousin.

"We're here." Logan muttered, sliding out of the car. Ivy went to open the door then stopped and turned to Jake, who was still staring out the window dazedly.

"Jake, come on." She muttered, nudging him on the arm.

He flinched, a side effect from having an abusive father, and his eyes shot over to her. He looked disoriented, like he forgot where he was.

"Shit. You okay?" Ivy asked, worried.

Jake nodded slowly and pushed the car door open. Ivy sneered at the ginger-haired doll in his arms. The two of them stared up at the large house in front of them.

Ivy would be happy to move into a mansion if their idiot cousin wasn't also living inside.

She kept her eyes on Jake who still seemed off. It wasn't unusual, considering they just became orphans and lost the only father they've ever known.

Ivy wasn't upset. If anything, she was happy. Luke was a shit father and she knew Jake hated him just as much as she did. The only difference was he was awful at dealing with his emotions.

After their mom died, they were a wreck. They needed a father and never got one.

"Ivy." A familiar voice said, snapping her back into reality. She looked up and saw Jake staring at her worriedly.

"You alright?" He whispered.

She nodded and stepped into the house, Logan closed the door behind them. Jake stayed shoulder-to-shoulder with her the entire time Junior's parents talked to them.

Ivy completely tuned out their voices, she looked around the house stunned. No wonder Junior was so spoiled.

Bree came down and pulled Jake into a hug. Ivy felt her jaw clench, she hated pity.

When they pulled out of it, she tried to hug Ivy and the teen backed up. "Don't touch me."

She nodded hesitantly. "So, you're gonna come stay with us now."

Jake walked back over to Ivy. "Thank you."

"Can I get either of you anything?" She asked. "Are you guys hungry?"

Ivy kept her eyes on Logan. He looked so much like their father it made her shiver.

Bree continued to list off things to get them.

"No, we're fine." Ivy interrupted, crossing her arms over her chest angrily.

She caught Junior glaring at them and a smirk spread across her face. She was going to make his life hell.

"Why don't you show Jake and Ivy to their room." Logan suggested, gesturing to the stairs.

Bree led them down the hall and stopped at the end of the hall. She opened the door, uncovering a room with two twin beds in the center.

Jake stood in the doorway as Ivy examined the room. It was too much.

"So this is yours." Bree explained, turning the lamps on.

"Make yourselves at home."

The Wheeler twins walked around cautiously.

"The bathroom is down the hall," Bree continued. "WIFI password is eagle scout.. all uppercase."

Ivy scoffed, "Of course it is.."

"Is there anything else you need?"

Jake shook his head. "I think we're good."

Neither of them wanted to talk to this woman. Ivy wanted to be left alone.

She nodded slowly and stepped forward. "I want both of you to know that.. we're here for you, all of us."

"You're not alone."

"We're not a charity case-" Ivy started, rolling her eyes.

"Thanks aunt Bree." Jake said, interrupting her.

They watched her walk over to the door, Ivy fell back on the bed closest to the window and took out her phone.

"Jake." Bree continued, making Ivy groan.

"What did you mean today, at the talent show, you know, about me having a secret?"

Ivy chuckled slightly and pushed herself into a seating position. "Why? Do you have a secret?"

"Um.. I was just trying to be funny, I didn't- I didn't mean anything by it, sorry." Jake tried defending himself.

"Okay.." Bree muttered, unconvinced. "Get some rest."

She walked out, leaving the door open. Junior peered into the room from across the hall.

"What do you want, pervert?" Ivy snapped.

Jake hesitated for a second then walked over and shut it, clutching the Chucky doll.

"This is so stupid, I don't want to live here." Ivy groaned.

Jake ignored her and held up the ginger doll, staring into its dead soulless eyes.

"What the fuck are you doing?" She questioned.

He didn't respond.

"Talk to me." Jake muttered. Ivy face-palmed at his awful attempt to make a toy talk.

"I said talk to me dammit!" He exclaimed, shaking the old doll with his hands.

"Jake, don't piss it off." Ivy warned.

"Alright, I'm gonna make you-" Just then, the doll's arm shot up and smacked Jake across the face. Ivy gasped and shuffled back on the bed.

He dropped the doll, backing up terrified.

"Hi I'm Chucky, and I'm your friend till the end.." The doll said, pushing itself up from the floor.

"Hi dee fucking ho."

Ivy stared at it, horror spread across her face. She hated dolls but this was on another level of terrifying.

The doll laughed creepily, making the situation a million times worse.

"Holy shit!" Jake choked, shaking his head.

"I know." The doll said, standing on its feet now. Ivy was too terrified to speak. The thing she dreaded most in the world, just became reality.

"You.." Jake stuttered. "You killed him. You really did it."

"We did it." The doll said, turning to Ivy.

She shook her head, trying to convince herself this was a nightmare.

"F-Fuck that." Ivy managed to say.

"I didn't want him dead!" Jake argued.

"What did you think I was gonna do? Ask him for a hug? He got what he deserved!" Chucky explained.

"He wasn't always like that- when I was younger he was really cool!" The teen defended.

The doll rolled its eyes, making Ivy shiver. "I know an ass hole when I see one."

"After my mom died he just- he couldn't deal." Jake said.

"Oh." Chucky muttered. "I thought we were talking about the cat."

"You killed Bixi?" Ivy sneered, her anger kicking in. "That is so fucked up, even for a demon doll."

"I'm not a demon." Chucky sneered.

"You really are Charles Lee Ray.." Jake interjected.

The doll nodded. "But my friends all call me Chucky."

Ivy got up from the bed, walking over to her brother. "Ok, then let's stop calling him that."

"Why?" Jake whispered.

"Do you wanna be his friend?" She questioned.

Before he could answer, Chucky pulled a knife out of his pocket and Ivy jumped back. "Oh hell no-"

"Relax, princess. I'm not gonna kill you.. yet." He snickered.

"Let's talk about that bitch, Lexi, first."
