Mortimer's P.O.V:

Waking up next to her is my favorite thing to do because I like holding her while she is snuggling to me for warmth. I wish I could hold her in my arms forever and never let her go. A guilty pleasure of sirens to keep their soulmates longer in their nest so they would forget how much time they have spent in it. Since my beautiful soulmate is a werewolf I know that she has to shift into her wolf form. So I'm trying not to restrain her from going outside, but lately, it's got harder to do so.

Well, I can't blame her for it, she is simply too cute to not mark her. I admire her curiosity and intelligence. It's really cute to watch her read or sleep in the library. And I like how she can be caring and considerate without even knowing it. Her sky blue eyes intrigue me. I am filled with curiosity and I like the softness of her light brown hair. It's fun to play with it. And those are more reasons to keep her. She is the only sunlight in my life I need.

I didn't notice that I tightened my hold until she stirred in her sleep. I don't know if she plans on oversleeping for breakfast, but it wouldn't hurt to use a new method to wake her up. I gently kissed her forehead then her nose and then gave her a teasing kiss on her lips.

"Чтоб ты сдох," she said in her sleepy voice and unfamiliar language and I chuckled. I guess it worked, but her eyes remained closed.

"You know you have to wake up," I said then she groaned and moved her body in the other direction while she was in my arms.

"Yeah, but not that early. Oh if you're gonna keep waking me up that early I'll start sleeping in the guest room ." She threatened as she tried to move away from my arms but I brought her closer and tightened my grip on her.

"I'll just drag you back in here," I said with my husky voice as I gently kissed her neck. She squirmed when I kissed her neck but she still couldn't get out of my grip. I chuckled at her attempt.

"Mortimer! Why do you do this to me?"Alice whined. Well, sirens tend to be clingy and that's why they started hypnotizing their soulmates so they won't think about their family and responsibilities. I may be becoming more clingy and it's because I need to mark her.

"What do you mean?" I tried to sound innocent as I nuzzled her neck. When I nuzzled her heartbeat increased as her breathing hitched.

"W-why do you insist on making our bond stronger?" she stuttered. Well, sirens always value their soulmates, no matter if my soulmate in any shape or form is mine to love and cherish. Siren doesn't care for looks so if you are skinny or fat it's not a deal-breaker for us and if soulmates claim to be ugly we don't care that we only see beauty. The only deal-breaker can be personality, but I don't have any problems with Alice's personality so why not fight for your happiness.

"Because Alice you're perfect and I don't mind spending the rest of my life with you. And we sirens don't waste any time on having our doubts." I told her honestly. I know I won't get her acceptance right now, but I don't mind fighting for it. I always thought if my soulmate has any doubts, by helping her to get rid of her doubts will make her happy in the relationship, it kinda reminds me of the Golden rules for sirens. But she doesn't want to share her doubts with me.

"What if I don't want to spend my life with you?" She carefully asked. That question hurts. I won't deny that, but I know she is already hesitating. I just need to show her why she would be happy with me.

"Then I won't give up on you until you accept me," I said in the husky voice as she tried to hide her blush.

In the end, we went downstairs to eat breakfast. Then there is the usual routine happening. Alice goes outside to town and I go to my office to work.

My work doesn't consist of much, well it depends on my schedule. But mainly what I do is skype with my human business partner about which ideas we should invest in. And attend my company's Skype meeting so we can decide on the future of this company. I can be picky when I'm choosing which company I should invest in but my final decisions can become very successful. Well, this is only the first part of my work where I get money for taking care of the island. The second part is when anyone can come to my office and offer their ideas or complain about something we don't have. Then I heard knocking on my door and then Leon's mate came in.

"Good to see you, Selena. How is creating an educational system for all-species primary schools going?" I asked. I remember she requested that at least one primary school should be built on this island. I agreed on one condition that she will have to handle creating an educational system since I'm clueless about this kind of topic.

"I managed to finish it, that's why I came here in the first place, Your highness." as she puts a big folder on my table. So she already managed to finish it? It's unbelievable but I'm glad that she managed to finish it because it costs a lot for a family to home school or try to enroll in the nearest school inland or underwater.

Now people don't have to spend a lot of money on the education of their children. But it doesn't mean that her plan will be suitable for a school where all species are going to learn. So I took the holder and looked over the pages to make sure that there was everything that would be enough for a child to receive primary education and at the same time not get overworked. After trying to find flaws in the plan I put the holder on the table.

"Deal is a deal, I guess I should start searching for builders that can start on building schools and teachers that will teach children" I smiled as Selena's posture was relieved.

"But I still have a question, how did you manage to create it that fast?" I asked her. I was curious how she managed and how she got an idea about two species having one ability training class.

"I asked for advice from everyone on this island and there were other people who supported my idea and helped me on researching. There were a lot of people who thought that this island needed school."She said honestly. I guess I'm glad that accepted her idea and decided to help financially since the parents of the children can now relax. Plus if I have children with Alice we don't have to worry about not seeing them until the holiday. I smiled at that thought.

After we were done talking Selena left with a happy expression on her face. Then Elizabeth came to my office saying there was a guest in the living room. There were only two people that always waited for him in the living room, Luciano and Leon. Luciano is a vampire and he is second in command, he is the first friend that he met on land and helped him learn about life on land. Leon is like third in command; he usually was in charge of patrols and training.

"Hey, there pal, Long time no see is your soulmate making you busy?" Luciano teased. I just shook my head.

"It's not that long since we saw each other three days ago!" I said. Then the phone beeped, meaning that it received a message on notification, but it happened to be my soulmate's phone. And that caught Luciano's attention so he reached for the phone.

"Luciano, that is not your phone and don't you think it's rude to check someone else's phone without permission ?"Leon asked.

"Mortimer is that your soulmate's phone?" He asked in a sly voice.

"Yeah, why?"

"Well, Mortimer bad news for you, You have a rival!" Luciano said as he gave me the phone and I decided to take a look until I saw the message on her blocking screen.

Alexander: You can do better than to settle down with your destined soulmate.

Anger and jealousy rushed in me. I furiously tried to unlock her screen so I could either look over her conversation with Alexander or just send him a message that would destroy their relationship. But I failed to unlock the screen since she has a complicated password on her phone.

"Do you still have your soulmate's document ?" Leon asked and I nodded. After the games, they always give your soulmate's information and their record.

"We can check her document to know who Alexander is to her" Leon suggested as Luciano already bolted into my office to search for her documents. So we went after him. I was curious about Alexander too. Is he the reason why Alice doesn't want to accept me?

"You know I haven't given you permission to dig up my files," I said as Luciano was searching for the file. I went where I hid the file and grabbed the black holder with my soulmate's name on it. But Luciano took it from me and started reading it. Luciano always does this but I don't mind him since I got used to it. After a few minutes of reading Luciano found something interesting.

"Well, that's interesting," Luciano muttered.

"What?" I was already impatient with waiting. I guess I'm kinda stressed over this message. If that's true I have to create a new plan. I just hope for the better I guess.

" Lady diploma, straight-A grades, 3 fluent languages and ballet dancer means she was groomed to become Queen of all werewolves because the only person with the name Alexander she talks to is the crowned prince of werewolves " Luciano shocked me with his statement. So her parents expected her to marry him and become the Queen of Werewolves?

History can repeat itself like how it's happened with Anastasia. Or maybe not since we are in a more different situation. Plus Alice is so much different than Anastasia. They're kinda opposites in my opinion. I just hope history doesn't repeat itself.
