《"Cause if you're falling in love, let me feel it.》Twelve

I start with helping Josie pick out the herbs she needs to use.
"So what's the plan?" I ask as a twirl a sprig of a plant I don't know the name of between my fingers.
"I have to appeal to her emotions and no one's better at getting an emotional reaction out of someone than my dark side."
"Oh shit, that's the route you're going for, alright, I mean if you think you can do it I believe in you."
"You're not scared?"
"Not if you're not. Everyone has a dark side, I mean we're seeing Hope's right now, but as long as you can accept both sides, who am I to get in the way of a good plan." She smiles in gratitude.
"But I have to go, MG wants me to go stand on that stage and try to come up with a good monolog to try to get her back, which I am almost positive won't work . So while I am getting myself embarrassed by Hope, you think through the good plan. You got this." I yell in her direction but before I get too far I hear her giggle.
I step into the light after Pedro and squint my eyes at the light directly in my face. She has been ruthless to everyone who has stepped up, and I am curious about what she'll say to me.
"What are you doing here?" She asks, staring at me with an unimpressed look on her face. I was expecting that.
"I honestly don't know." I turn to look at MG. "Mg, what am I doing here?" He also now seems unimpressed with my response.
"See Mg, she knows I'm gone."
"I didn't say that either, I just personally think that this is an incredibly unthought through plan to get you to turn your humanity on."

"I think I like you better with my humanity off." She states with the famous Mikaelson smirk on her lips. I mirror it on my own.
"I wish I could say the same."
"Hm and why is that?"
"Because I genuinely think that you are a good person, Hope. Just like your mother was, and just like I am sure your father became, for you. They did that for you, they funded this school for you, are you going to let them throw that away for you as well?"
I don't lose my smirk but hers has fallen, I think I see anger slip through just before they fall away as quickly as they came.
"They're dead, just like you're gonna be."
She stands up but she can't move much thanks to the spell they put on her. I decided that I am going to test my luck today.
I walk up to the front of the podium with a smile and nothing to be afraid of in the moment. I get a closer look at her. Hair darker, emotionless presence, and the necklace she usually wears, gone.
"What happened to the necklace Hope, cutting family ties? Too much of a burden on those pesky emotions you so desperately want to keep far away from you?"
I see her eyebrow twitch, it's not much but it's something so I stay on the offense.
"You don't want to think about how all their sacrifices would be in vain for what you're doing today? Don't want to think about the fact that you have aunts and uncles who would do anything for you and are probably waiting at the phone right now to help. You want to know why they're doing that, because of the love that your parents left behind for you, and now you've gone and broken all of their hearts with what you're doing now."

I see her fists at her side, white knuckles probably from how hard she's squeezing them, just wishing I would step closer so she could punch me and probably break my neck in the process.
I want to preface that I don't mean a single word of what comes out next, I'm just trying to reach her emotions.
"You're becoming evil, Hope, they see it and I see it." The distaste in her face is obvious, probably because I just used a word that has followed Klaus for years, but I am getting somewhere.
"How does it feel to crush every hope they had for you, that you're disrespecting the choices that brought them to their graves while you get to live. It's disappointing, that you're taking that for granted. Actually it's fucking pathetic."
I know that I am usually level headed and if there is a conflict I fight, physically. But people forget that I have been friends with Penelope for 12 years, so it's safe to say I know how to hit someone where it hurts with words.
It also means that people don't see this side of me often and it's usually the last thing they expect, so when those words escape someone gasps.
It seems to snap Hope out of the trance of anger and just like that the wall comes back up and there are no emotions to be seen. She even laughs.
"You know, you and my aunt Rebekah would get along. She actually told me almost that exact thing when I handed her that necklace you're so concerned about."
The orb shines blue. Fuck, here we go.
"You know Cypress, I could say the same about you, I mean we're kind of similar, from the same pack, to that tacky family ring you were so proudly like I did."
Oh god. The orb is still blue.
"But you're scared of the same thing, you're not the alpha because you don't want to disappoint them, right? Oh and then of course the disappointment that you'll receive for your dear best friend when she finds out about that little crush you have on her ex-lover. Or should I make a personal stop to tell her myself. Speaking of Josie, when is she coming out to play?"
Well that definitely struck a chord especially when that orb is shining blue meaning she meant every word of that, but I refuse to show it, not wanting her to get the upper hand.
"You know Hope, with you bringing her up so much I would think that you're the one with the crush."
"Ha ha funny, okay I am bored with this."
That's when she starts spit firing insults at all of them, making the stars burn out all too quickly.
"See, game over, now where are my weapons?"
I hear Mg sigh in defeat. I take that as my cue to leave.
I stop by the kitchen grabbing something before I run to the garden to see Josie before she goes to corner Hope. When I find her she's still picking things.
When she looks up and sees me, she actually looks extremely upset with me.
