《Everything Inbetween Bones [BxB] ✓》Chapter 14

A/N: So I finally have a new chapter out, I'm sorry it took so long, but here it is. One thing I've had sort of an idea for is maybe doing a Q&A as we're going to be reaching 10k reads soon, if you'd be interested in that, just leave a comment with your question. If there's not enough of people who want it I probably won't do one, but if you do, be sure to participate. Also, don't hesitate to comment if you see mistakes in the writing, I spend time going back and editing chapters that I find problems in. I found an entire paragraph the other day that I wrote in first person and dear god was that embarassing. But to everyone who's been leaving concerned comments on my page or on the story, I'm feeling a little better now, thank you for all your support and kindness, I really appreciate you all. Everyone leaving any kind of comment is just super appreciated, you guys make my day and I hope that you continue liking the story. The song is I Wanna Be Your Girlfriend by Girl In Red because my bitch ass sat here and cried while doing line edits to this chapter because liking straight girls fucking sucks and I love it so take it. It's one of the few songs that makes me cry every time I listen to it, but She by Dodie Clark also does that to me, along with It's Okay, I Wouldn't Remember Me Either by Crywank. That's some good shit, man. Anyways, I hope everyone has a good day or night and also drink your water, dehydration? Not in this nation. Take care of yourself.

"You want cereal? I could also make eggs or something." Oliver asked and Logan looked up from where he'd been staring at the sink. He was sitting at one of the stools around the kitchen island while Oliver looked around for something to eat.

"Oh, I'm not that hungry." He said and Oliver looked at him, clearly not believing his bullshit.

"You didn't eat dinner last night and I'm betting you didn't eat lunch yesterday either." He said and Logan bit his lip, he could feel his heart starting to race.

"It's just my meds, they change my appetite." LiarLiarLiar.

"You haven't taken them yet today." Oliver said and Logan wanted to shrink.

"I-I just.." How many calories are in cereal? He thought for a moment, rationalizing, running numbers. Egg, scrambled (95), Cereal (150-300), toast without butter (90) but it's weird not to butter your toast. "I'll just have some eggs." He said and Oliver pulled out two eggs before Logan got up quickly. "I'll make it." he said too fast, taking an egg and cracking it into a bowl, mixing it around, putting the smallest amount of butter on the pan.

"You okay, bear?" Oliver asked because Logan was nearly shaking.

"Yeah, just..I dunno, I like making my own food I guess." He said, making sure it was cooked all the way before he put it on a plate.

"Alright, as long as your eating." Oliver said, putting the other egg back and pouring himself some cereal, sitting down next to Logan.

"I'm just picky." He said and Oliver nodded a little, though he didn't look like he bought it. Logan's phone rang and he quickly answered.

"Hello?"

"Hey, stick, I was wondering if you wanted to come to the movies with Sy and Tyler and I." Ivy said and he smiled.

"Yeah, sure, could Oliver come?"

"Definitely." Logan pulled the phone away from his ear and looked at Oliver.

"Do you want to come to the movies with a few of my friends?" He asked and Oliver smiled.

"I would, but my brother's getting home today."

"Oh, are you gonna be okay?" He asked and Oliver nodded, keeping a small smile before Logan put the phone to his ear again. "He said not today."

"Wait, are you guys hanging out?"

"Yeah, he slept over."

"So you guys are like a thing then?" She asked.

"No, we're just friends." He said and Oliver looked over, his smile now more amused than anything else.

"So you guys are just fucking then." She said and he turned bright red.

"No, He slept over, like, we watched a movie and fell asleep, we're not..doing anything." He said and Oliver smirked, cocking an eyebrow as Logan slowly turned a brighter red than before.

"Alright, whatever you say, I'll see you in a minute." She said casually.

"Okay, I'll see you there." He said and she hung up.

"What was that about?" Oliver asked, his voice playfully accusing. Logan looked away from him.

"Ivy gets ideas."

"Do you guys talk about me?" Oliver asked and Logan smiled a little.

"No." He said, though it was clearly a lie.

"Then why does she think we're 'doing things'?" Oliver was clearly teasing him, though it wasn't helping Logan's red face.

"I dunno, I told you, she gets ideas."

"If you say so." Oliver said with a smirk before he glanced at his watch. "Oh, I gotta go, I'm picking up Judas." He said, washing his cereal bowl out in the sink.

"I hope it goes well." Logan said and Oliver smiled a little, looking at him again.

"Me too. Have fun, I'll see ya, bear." He said, ruffling logan's red curls before he walked out. Logan blushed, fighting a smile as he watched Oliver go.

---

Ivy showed up a few minutes after Oliver had left, honking her car horn outside. When Logan opened the door she rolled down the window and looked at him.

"Get in, loser." She said with a grin and he laughed, adjusting his hoodie. He'd thrown on some ripped black skinny jeans and a yellow hoodie. He opened the door and got in, buckling his seatbelt.

"So you and Cross." she started and he blushed.

"There's nothing going on."

"You can't tell me you're just friends."

"Why not?"

"Because it's so fucking obvious that you two like eachother."

"No we don't, he's not into me, we're just friends." Logan said and Ivy sighed, waiting a moment before she spoke again.

"Hey, you said he told you Grace is into girls right?" She asked and Logan nodded.

"Why?" He asked and Ivy smiled a little.

"I'm thinking I might like, maybe ask her out or something sometime." She said and Logan grinned.

"You should go for it." He said and she nodded, giggling.

"I really want to, she's really pretty and funny, I was talking to her at auditions the other day, she's also a really good actor, like oh my god." She gushed and Logan could help but smile.

"Yeah? that's awesome." Logan said with a giggle.

"Speaking of asking people out-"

"I'm not going to. He probably looks at me as a little brother or something." Logan said and Ivy rolled her eyes.

"You just don't see the way he looks at you during class." She said and Logan blushed.

"He does?"

"Yeah, it's super obvious, he probably just doesn't think you like him."

"Or I'm too ugly for him to crush on." Logan mumbled and Ivy flicked his head.

"Cut that shit out, you're adorable, any gay guy with half a brain would think so too." She said and Logan smiled a little.

"I love you, Ive." He said and she smiled, parking and kissing his cheek.

"You too, loggy. Alright, let's go watch that movie, I bet the guys are already here."

"What are we watching?"

"Oh right, I forgot to tell you. We're seeing that new movie, Black Christmas? it came out two days ago."

"Oh cool, I've been meaning to watch that." Logan said with a smile, stuffing his hands in his hoodie pocket. He should have brought gloves.

They walked in, Ivy circling her arm around Logan's elbow with a little smile. They'd been best friends since the summer after freshman year. Logan had been going to a visual arts camp for painting, she'd gone for photography but they'd become friends and then after camp it just stuck.

"Oh, there they are." She said, grinning and waving to Ty and Sy who were in line getting popcorn and soda. Ty was dressed in a gray, v-neck sweater and dark pants, Syrus wore a t-shirt with light washed jeans and a dark jacket.

"Hey, Loggy." Sy said as he smiled and Ty grabbed the drink and popcorn.

"Dude, are you going to help with this or are you just going to stand there talking?" Tyler asked and Sy chuckled, grabbing the popcorn.

"You left auditions pretty quick, was everything alright? I heard Cross drove you home." Sy said.

"He slept over too." Ivy said with a little grin.

"I just got a little sick, then Oliver said he could drive me home if I didn't want to stay for the rest so we just hung out and watched movies." LiarLiar.

"I'm sure that's all that happened." Ty said, looking at Logan with a smirk. The boy blushed.

"It is all that happened, why does everyone think we're sleeping together?"

"I mean, you're both gay, he's constantly talking to you, he's always smiling around you." Ivy said and Logan looked a little confused.

"He smiles around everyone."

"Since when?" Sy asked and Logan thought about it.

"But it's not like he likes me, he's just nice."

"Oliver Cross being nice? Are you kidding?" Ivy said and Logan crossed his arms.

"Look- we're just friends, he hasn't even suggested that he likes me or anything. I mean, sure, I like him a little, but there's no way he'd reciprocate." He said and Ivy rolled her eyes.

They took their seats, Ivy and Ty at the ends leaving Sy and Logan in the middle. The commercials were just ending when they got in. Sy offered Logan the soda but he shook his head. liquid calories might as well have been a crime to him.

---

When the movie ended, Logan was curled up in his seat, staring at the screen with wide eyes. Sy looked over at him, ruffling his red hair. Logan looked to him.

"You scared, stick?" He asked with a little smile.

"No, it wasn't even that scary, I'm fine." Logan said, though clearly lying. Sy chuckled and nodded toward the door as Ivy and Ty were getting up.

"Oooh, you know, we should go get ice cream." Ivy said and Ty nodded, putting his hands in his pockets as they walked out of the theatre.

"Yeah, that sounds fun." Tyler said.

"Is it alright if I skip, I was planning on just heading home, I've got some homework.." Logan said.

"Oh, I can take you home, I'm not really feeling ice cream either." Syrus said and Logan smiled.

"Thanks."

The four split up, Ty leaving in Ivy's car and Logan in Sy's car.

"What'd you think of the movie?" Sy asked and Logan smiled.

"It was pretty good, I just get scared easily." He said and Sy smiled.

"Yeah, it's alright. Nobody's going to get mad at you for being gullible."

"I'm not gulli-"

"Holy shit, what is that?!" Sy exclaimed, pointing at something ahead of them.

"What?" Logan asked quickly, looking for it, only to turn a bright red when he heard Sy laughing quietly.

"Case in point."

"You're mean."

"You're right, that was mean, but you're gullible." He said and Logan looked at him pretending to be mad.

"But you tricked me."

"You fell for it."

"Yeah well..you..can't do algebra." He said and Sy cracked up.

"Ooh, ouch, low blow." He said sarcastically and Logan crossed his arms.

"You're not taking me seriously."

"No, I'm not, because you're adorable and all red in the face and you don't look mad in the slightest."

"Well I'm not gullible."

"Are we back to this again?" Sy asked and Logan stuffed his hands in his pockets.

"Do you want me to come sit at home with you and make sure none of the big bad jump scares get you?" Sy asked and Logan rolled his eyes with a smile.

"No, I'm fine." He said with a small laugh and Sy parked outside his house, looking to Logan with a fond smile.

"You know as much as I tease you, I'd seriously do just about anything for you, loggy. A lot of people like me, but you're really one of the only people I consider a friend." Sy said and Logan smiled, he felt so cared for around his friends.

"It scared me when Ty told us you were at the hospital." He said and Sy nodded.

"I know, I'm sorry, I don't even know what happened really, I was just so depressed all of a sudden and like, there was no way to get out of it." He said and Logan nodded.

"It's okay, I get it, the same thing happened to me a few years ago. It just..it scared me." He said and Sy looked at him curiously.

"Really? You never told me."

"I know, I don't talk about it much, I don't like it when people worry." Logan said softly, playing with his fingers, staring at the pastel yellow polish.

"When?" Sy asked quietly.

"The summer before freshman year..my dad brought up the idea of maybe asking the doctor about medication because I was already sort of depressed and shit and so I got put on effexor and things went to hell." He said softly. "I got put in a hospital and then on different meds."

"I'm sorry-"

"It's not your fault."

"But it still sucks."

"I mean, I'm fine now, it's been a few years."

"If you ever need anyone to talk to, I'm always around." Sy said and Logan looked at him, smiling.

"Thank you." He said, smiling, then realized he'd been in Sy's car way too long. "Oh, I gotta go, but thanks for driving me, I'll see you monday." He said and got out, giving Sy one last smile before he nodded and closed the door.

"I'll seeya, loggy, have a good weekend!" He called and Logan grinned, waving as he walked in.

"You too!" He called back before he closed the front door, walking up to his room.
