《Soulmates/ Jolby》Chapter seven

Colby wakes up on the couch with Jake leaning on him. The TV is still playing, and the others are still downstairs. While laying his head down on the armrest, Colby hears a knock on the front door.
'Who could be knocking on our door at fucking 7:30 A.M.?" He grumbles in his mind.
Whoever knocked on the door, knocked on it again but this time it was harder and there were a lot more. Colby stands up to go get the door, and notices the roommates are waking up.
The knocks on the door continue, "I'm coming! Calm down!"
Colby opens the door and doesn't see anyone. He's about to close it when something pulls on his sweatpants. Colby looks down and sees a little girl, about 5 years old.
"Can I help you, sweetheart? And how did you get through the gate?" He asks. Suspicion is clear on his face.
"I need your help. I'm lost, sir. Oh, I climbed it." She replies with a sweet smile.
"Okay, love. Come on in and we'll try to find your Mommy and Daddy."
Colby leads the little girl into the living room where all the roommates, and Kat, are now sitting up and talking. Once Colby walks in with the little girl, everyone gives him a questionable look.
"Who's the Hobbit, Bro?" Corey asks with a laugh.
"This is- " Colby looks down at the little girl.
"Sarah." She replies.
"This is Sarah, and she's lost. I thought we could help her."
Everyone starts to ask Sarah who her parents are and where they are.
"Well, my parents are dead. I need you to help me find my Alpha." She grins at the nice people in front of her.
"Alpha. . .?" Sam asks, confused.
"Yeah. I was separated from my pack. If I'm away from my pack or my Alpha or my pack for too long, I'll get sick and go to sleep for forever. Well, that's just what Alpha told me." Sarah replies, hopping a bit on her feet.
"Is this true, Colbs?" Jake asks suddenly.
Colby, still being in shock that this little girl is a werewolf, says "uh. . . Yeah."
Coming out of his shock, Colby gets down to Sarah's height. "Sarah, I'm Alpha Brock , but you can call me Colby. And these people are my pack." Colby goes from left to right, "Aaron, Devyn, Corey, Sam, Kat, and my mate Jake."

Sarah looks at all of them, and smiles.
"Nice to meet you Brock Pack."
All of the roommates smile at her, but soon start to ask how they could possibly help to get her Alpha back.
"I-I don't know. That's why I need help."
"How about we discuss it after some breakfast? I bet you're starving, sweetie." Kat says while holding out her hand for Sarah to take.
"I'm very hungry." Sarah's stomach growls in response. Everyone starts to chuckle at her.
Everyone piles into the kitchen and sits down. Aaron starts to make everyone breakfast while the others get to know Sarah a bit more. Many questions come at once.
"Where are you from?"
"What's your Alphas name?"
"What's your favorite thing to do?"
"Have you seen Gary?"
"How old are you?"
Sarah didn't even looked shocked at the amount of questions, she just leaned back in her chair and answered all of them.
"I'm from California, of course. My Alphas name is John. My favorite thing to do? Hmm, running in my wolf form. I don't know who Gary is, but I'm sure you'll find him soon. I'm 5 and half, it's very important that you include the half." When she's done, Sarah smiles slightly at all the roommates.
"Nice, kid." Colby says with a smirk.
Sam looks like he wants to ask something else but holds back from it, until Sarah notices and tell him to ask his question.
"I was just wondering, how long do we have to find your Alpha?"
"I have four days, so four days I guess."
"Holy shit." Sam says shocked.
"Okay Guys, food is ready." Aaron says, interrupting.
After everyone ate, they all noticed that Sarah was starting to get tired by the way that she kept dozing off while sitting down. Sam suggests that Sarah can go sleep in his and Kat's room.
They all look over to Sarah and see that she has fell asleep, with her head on the table.
"I got her." Corey says while laughing a bit.
Corey takes Sarah up to Sam's room and leaves after turning the light off.
"She's out like a light." Corey says when he gets back to the living room.

"Guys, what are we going to do?" Jake asks from his spot next to Colby.
"The best thing for us to do is be there for the little pup." Colby says.
The group talk some more over what they could do for Sarah, but they can't figure out a solid plan.
While talking about an idea Devyn had, the group hear Sarah scream from Sam's room. Everyone gets up and runs to Sam's room. When they get there they notice that Sarah is hyperventilating and holding her chest.
"Sarah! Are you okay, Pup?" Colby asks frantically while getting up next to her.
"I felt it! I felt the pack bond leave me!" She cries while looking up at Colby.
Colby looks at Sarah with a look of sympathy, and pulls her to him for a hug.
While the two werewolves are hugging, the others are confused.
"I'm sorry to interrupt, but what is the pack bond and why is she so sad that it is gone?" Aaron finally asks.
Colby sighs before answering. "The pack bond is a bond formed between your pack, it's so strong that you can literally feel it inside you. Sarah has lost her pack bond, and the only way you can lose a pack bond is if you lose your Alpha. So, Sarah here has lost her Alpha."
The group, finally understanding, move over to give Sarah a group hug.
"So, now that your Alpha is gone what are you going to do?" Sam asks Sarah.
While sniffing the little girl says, "I don't know. Probably become a lone wolf."
"Now, Pup, we can't have that." Colby says with a smile.
"How about you become one of us?" He adds.
Sarah smiles at Colby, "I would love that, Alpha."
"Does everyone agree?" Colby asks the group in front of him.
While everyone said yes, they all felt a powerful pull in their stomachs.
"Welcome to the pack, Sarah." Colby says with a smile.
The laughter coming from the living room was loud, and you could tell everyone was having fun. The roommates were all laying around watching SpongeBob, and just spending time getting to know Sarah.
Out of nowhere, Colby sits straight up and starts to sniff the air.
"Do you smell that, Pup?" He asks Sarah.
"Yeah. . .it smells like dead bodies." She replies.
"Vampires. . ." Colby says more to himself than to anyone else.
"What are they doing around here?" He asks.
"Hunting?" Sam asks.
"Maybe. . ."
Colby stands up and starts to walk around the house. He gets to the last room on the top floor, and is about to go back downstairs when he hears glass shatter; he starts to run downstairs with his werewolf speed. When he gets there everyone is on the floor.
"Is everyone okay?" He asks everyone in the room.
"Yeah, but I think they took a few people." Aaron says.
Colby starts to look around the room, and when he realizes who was took, he stops breathing.
"They took Sam, Sarah, and J-Jake." He barely gets out,
If Colby wasn't the alpha and didn't have to keep calm, he would have dropped to the floor. The vampires not only took a pup from his pack, but they took his mate AND his best friend.
"We have to find them." Colby growls.
Sarah couldn't hold her cries in anymore. She's alone, and she misses her Alpha. Sarah starts to cry, but stops when she feels a hand on her arm. Startled, she looks up only to find the worried face of Sam.
"Sam!" She says while hugging him.
Sam chuckles at her reaction to seeing her.
"Hey! Don't forget me!"
Sarah looks next to Sam to find Jake.
"Jake!" She smiles at him, and gives him a hug.
After hugging Jake, Sarah moves in between both of her pack mates to find some comfort.
"I'm scared. I wish A- I mean, Colby was here." Sarah says to both boys, while being in the middle of their arms.
"Us, too, Pup. Us, too." Sam says while rubbing circles on her arm, and Jake doing the same on her other.

Miracle Angeliva
Spirits, or what people usually referred to as ghosts, are something that has always been with us since ancient times. Some people are gifted to see them. However, most of us can’t see them without training. And without seeing them, we won’t believe. People only believe what they see, after all. However, I assure you, spirits are real. Spirits are always there. Just because you can’t see them doesn’t mean they are not real. Just like people of ancient ages who can’t see bacteria or those who can’t see stars further than eyes can see, there are limits to our technology. Similarly, even though the current technology can’t prove the existence of supernatural beings, that doesn’t mean they don’t exist. In the future, if we can develop technology so everyone can see them just like how a microscope helps us seeing micro beings, I believe everyone will believe it too. That being said, I still can’t prove their existence yet. -Raleigh Von Vlad Update daily (if possible, if not, guaranteed chapters are on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday) Thanks to gej302 for the fantastic cover!
