The rain was pouring down the streets of New York City when a yellow taxi stopped before a rather simple looking apartment building. The doors open and three people walk out. Mr Gold, Emma Swan and her son Henry. Emma sees Mr Gold hesitating and asks if they were at the right place. He says it is, which leads to Emma's next conclusion.
"Let me guess, he's not expecting you." When Mr Gold says nothing she rolls her eyes. "Well, who doesn't love a surprise," she asks to no one in particular as she and Henry go first, followed by the hesitant man.
Once inside Henry studies the doorbells and the names behind them and comments that there was no Baelfire. "Yeah, that probably wouldn't fly as an alias. Your magic globe didn't give you an apartment numer," Emma asks Gold. Henry moves out of the way and Rumple leans in to look at the names. "It doesn't work that way," he explains to the blonde.
"Do any of these names mean anything to you," Henry asks from the other side of the room. "Well, names are what I traffic in, but sadly, no." Emma looks over the man's shoulder and notices one of the apartment's has no name attached to them. "Here's your boy," he says, pointing at number 407.
"No. Or it could just be vacant," he rationalizes, but Emma was sure of it. "You might traffic in names and magic, but I traffic in finding people that don't wanna be found and those sort of folks don't like to advertise their whereabouts," she explains to the two men and Emma presses the doorbell for 407. "U.P.S package for 407," she says casually.
The line disconnects and Henry comments smartly: "Maybe you should've said FedEx." But then they hear a crash and a clank in the distance and Emma states what everyone thinks. "Hes running." She throws the door open and sees someone escaping through the fire stairs. Henry and Mr Gold leave the building behind her.
"That-that favor you owe me - this is it. Get him to talk to me. I-I can't run," he says, pointing to his own bad leg. Emma sees him escaping and asks for Mr Gold to watch over Henry. Then she sprints after him right over the busy street, through small streets until she found a way to catch up to him. Just when he ran, he was suddenly tackled by her.
Emma pants and slowly raises her head, but then shock came to her. "No," she whispers when she realised who she just caught. "Neal?" "Emma?"
"Neal?" They stand up from the dirty, wet streets and he takes his hood off. "I don't understand. What are you doing here," he asks her. "What am I doing here," Emma asks. She didn't believe she was the one who needed to answer for things right now.
"Yeah," Neal responds, totally not expecting Emma to turn up here. "I am not answering anything until you tell me the truth. Are you Gold's son," she asks. "What are you talking about? Who's Gold," he asks her, seemingly confused. "You played me. You're from there," she whispers," You played me. And he played me. You both played me. You and Gold!"

"Whoa, okay. Emma, slow down," Neal says, trying to calm her down, but she was sure that they did this so she was forced to see him again. "What are you talking about, who's Gold?" "Your father, Rumplestiltskin!"
Neal falls silent as Emma breathes heavily after her outburst. He looks surprised, almost scared. "He's here?" "Why else would I be here in New York," Emma asks him in all seriousness. "You brought him to me? Why would you do that," he asks, raising his voice to yell at her. "Hey, I am the only one allowed to be angry here! Did you know who I was, where I was from, the whole time? Was this just some sort of sick, twisted plan? Did-did you even care about me at all?"
"Emma, do not-" he tries, but Emma continues to rage at him. "I wanna know! I want the truth, all of it!" "Fine," he yells, cutting her off," We-we gotta get off the street. We can't do it here. We're out in the open. I-I spent a lifetime running from that man. I'm not gonna let him catch me. There's a bar down the street. We can talk there," he says.
"I am not drinking with you. Whatever you're gonna tell me, tell me now," she orders him. "No, bar's better. Don't worry, you can.. keep yelling at me when we get there," Neal tells her as he walks away from her, leaving Emms flabbergasted, but then frustrated as she realizes she has to run after him.
A few blocks away Mr Gold was waiting for Emma to return with his son while Henry was taking a bite of the hot dog the man gave him. He told about how he had forgiven his mother for giving him up and that he was sure that his son would get it too. He was less positive, but Henry tries to cheer him up.
"But.. you're here now and you want him back, right?" "More than anything." "Then that's all that matters." Henry takes another bite of his hot dog and looks up at Mr Gold. "Mr Gold, may I ask you something?" He nods for Henry to continue, which he does.
"Why haven't you woken Winter up yet?"
He freezes and his body turns rigid. "I-I can't wake her up, Henry. She needs True Love's kiss for that." Henry wasn't satisfied with that answer. "But you love her and so does Belle. Why didn't you two kiss her awake?" "Because a man like me with a heart so black as charcoal and as hard as stone, can never process love as powerful as True Love to wake her up, boy," Rumple responds, feeling agitated. He didn't like talking about how his loveless life failed to save someone he did truly love.
"But Belle-" "Belle had just awoken from the curse, she was confused. You need to be focussing on your love for that person, more than anything, to wake her. Also, I didn't want to risk for her to feel sad if it didn't work, but I fear it might now be too late, since she's lost all memory of her and me.." he croaks up and looks around, hoping that the boy's mother would return soon with his son, not knowing the two of them were in a bar, drinking some beer.

He tells her how he didn't know at first who she was, but was told by August and had a plan with him to mold her into the Savior. Neal was talking about how destiny or fate or whatever you call it might have brought them together and said: "Maybe something good came from us being together." Not knowing how right that truly could be.
"No, not that I can think of," Emma lies," I just went to jail, that's it. Doesn't matter now, I'm over it." She stands up from her stool and takes her phone into her hand. "And you." She sighs as she shrugs her hair over her coat and shawl. As Neal makes a comment about the key chain he got for her so many years ago, she rips it off and gives it to him.
She tells him to go with her so she can uphold her deal with his father, to which he begs her not to. When he promised she would never had to see him again it was promising. As promising that she did it, but before she left she turned to him. "Do you know you have a sister," she asks.
Neal's eyebrows raise high upon his forehead with this shocking information. "I what? My father had a daughter," he asks. Emma shrugs her shoulders. "Not exactly. She was.. let's just say she was adopted. Seeing her with him is how I know that he is able to love someone, and he has never stopped loving you. You might need to give him one last chance.."
She turns around to leave the bar, phone ready in her hand to dial Mary Margaret as she had no idea what to do, when Neal calls after her. "What's her name?" Emma looks over her shoulder from standing inside the dooropening, giving him a half-hearted smile. "Her name's Winter. I hope you will ever get the chance to meet her, she's a lovely, bright person."
What Neal didn't know that 'ever getting the chance' had a double meaning to it.
After Mr Gold and Henry had a conversation about the future and his gift to see it. Just then, Emma arrived to tell him he had gotten away. Yet another time he slipped through his fingers and he was getting sick of it, so Mr Gold just rammed all the doorbells, hoping he would get in. Emma told him he was breaking in and that he couldn't do this, but Rumplestiltskin was not going back now he was so close.
Emma noticed an object hanging before the window. A dreamcatcher. Not just some dreamcatcher, but a memory of them both. Rumple noticed her strange behavior and caught up on her lies of not knowing anything. Emma had sent Henry to the bathroom and when Gold was about to attack, Neal, or Baelfire, burst inside.
When Gold saw how the two looked at each other, he connected the dots. "You two know each other." When there was silence, he asked how. When Emma tried to come with the excuse that she chased after him on his order, he pricked through it. Of course, that moment Henry had to appear. "Who's this," Neal asks.
He asks questions about Henry while Emma directs him back to the other room. "How old are you, kid," he yells when he didn't get an answer, and Henry answered just as loud with his age: 11. "Now why is everyone yelling," he asks, doing equally as much yelling. Neal looks to Emma and asks her. "He's 11?"
"Mom?" Henry looks at her, just as Mr Gold and Neal do. Rumplestiltskin had caught on with the relationship between his son and Miss Swan and realizes where this is going. Neal cracks up a little when he asks Emma if Henry is his son, to which Henry responds no and tells the fabricated story she told him about his father.
"Is this.. my son," Baelfire asks, not buying into the story that Henry told. Emma walks up to her son and strokes his hair out of his face when she whispers 'yes'. Henry steps away from her, shaking his head and escaping through the open window while Neal gasps for air.
Emma goes after him, leaving estranged father and son behind. To make up for the deal Emma made, he promised to listen to him for three minutes. Rumple told him how he felt, how he changed. Neal didn't really believe it, as he once again chose magic as a solution, a way to make up for his mistakes. He told him about what he felt when he was abandoned by him. "Oh, Bae," Rumple begs, his face scrunched up with trying to hide his sadness. "Time's up," his son says as he walks off.
Before he really abandoned his father, he looks back at him. "Although I don't think you will miss me for long. I've heared you've replaced my place as your child with some girl. Wonder when you are going to abandon her too," he scoffs. Rumple lowers his eyes as he says: "I already did, multiple times. First when she was taken, then when the Sleeping Curse hit her and so many times in between."
Neal stiffens when he hears the term 'Curse' and turns around. "She is under a Sleeping Curse now?" Rumple nod serves as only response, as speaking was difficult for him now. Baelfire shakes his head and leaves the room to go after his son, planning on not abandoning him like his father did to him.
Leaving Rumplestiltskin to regret his decisions and to wonder: have I really become the coward people held me for, like my father?

The Fall of The Gods
Synopsis: In the year 1966, an army of Orishas led by Sango stormed Amadioha’s palace and razed it the ground, starting a decades-long war between two of Nigeria’s most powerful divine orders. Blinded by the rage of battle, the gods did not detect the rise of a third power, far greater and deadlier than anything they could have imagined. When gods, on both the Yoruba and Igbo sides, begin falling mysteriously to their death, Sango seeks the help of Odion, a Lagos teenager destined to rise from his dark past to become a hero. But can a human hero save the gods from a doomed fate? The Fall of the Gods is an action-packed YA fantasy based on the mythical bond that ties human life with the realm of the divine. It demonstrates the power of stories to change our lives. It also reminds us that Sango and Amadioha are not relics of the past and that, sometimes, what it means to be a hero in today’s world is knowing how to find inspiration in the stories of the gods. PLEASE NOTE: Weekly chapters will be released every friday along with interludes once in a while about Nigerian mythology. I'm a young 17 year old writer and I am new to the site so I will appreciate your comments and reviews. Thank you very much.

Anchor Points: Age of Heroes
If you had a chance to reset history, knowing what we know now, would you take it? Six years after kicking an alien expeditionary force off the surface of the Earth back to their staging bases in the asteroid belt, and aided by stolen alien technology, the United Terran Republic Navy has finally achieved enough warship production to put the enemy on the run. Despite the facade of unity projected by the Earth's new federal government, deep cracks still lie under the surface that threaten the stability of world peace and the ability to protect humanity with a unified military response. Within this backdrop, the North American Union, now a mere state in the greater union, has created or reopened multiple off-books projects and black sites to house secrets both old and new that would be far too toxic or dangerous to be known to the wider world at such a delicate stage in world history. One of these secrets will draw Captain Henry O'Toole from his comfortable posting with the Jupiter Fleet straight into a world of conspiracies and secrets that could destroy the new, still fragile world order. Captain O'Toole will take command of mankind's first true starship with a secret mission that would be seen as treason by the new federal government. His orders are to use a prototype faster than light drive to travel through dimensions higher than spacetime and ride the expansion of the universe to create an off-books colony solely for the NAU. There are consequences for escaping time's jealous grasp, which instead position them to have a chance to change the course of human history. Fate has called the Indomitable Will and her crew into the Age of Heroes, will they be able to rise to the challenge?
