《{ enchanted forest }》15. { the queen is dead }

To summarize all the events that had happened in detail would take hours. So, a short review should do. Regina and Cora had teamed up and try to find, with the help of Hook, Rumplestiltskin's dagger so they could control and kill him. It was Snow's birthday, but she didn't like celebrating it because of the fact her mother died on that same day and she felt truly guilty. Hook had taken back his, well, his hook and gone after the magicless Dark One to skin a crocodile, as he likes to put it.
Belle had been visited in her room by Greg, who revealed that he knows there is something strange going on in Storybrooke. That same man has also made video footage and sent it to one of his contacts. In Manhattan Neal, also known as Baelfire and as the son of Rumplestiltskin, had found out that Henry is his son, which caused a rift to appear between Emma and Henry as she told him a lie before about who his father is.
While the boy and father go to get some New York pizza, Emma and Gold were left out. "It's a sad truth that the people closest to us are the ones capable of causing us the most pain. Look at me. Baelfire hurts me, Belle hurts me, though unintentionally, and Winter does as well."
"Speaking of Winter.. Henry told me she went to Neverland back.. there, you know?" Rumplestiltskin hums, a sign for the blonde to continue her question. "Well, why? What did she do there and what happened? And.. is it possible she knows.. Hook? And.." Emma couldn't help a giggle when thinking of it: "Peter Pan and Tinkerbell?"
"Neverland is not something to laugh about, Miss Swan. It's a place where your senses and soul are always tested. But it is true that she went there and probably met.. all those people. Point is, she never told about what happened there. She was as silent as a mouse. Yes.. Neverland had broken her more than I was ever able to repair. As for Hook, I fear he is the one to bring her back to us."
Emma'a eyebrows raise high on her forehead when hearing that news. "Hook helped you? Like, seriously?" "Well, without him knowing of course. Belle did all the.. communication with him."
The Jolly Roger slowly rolls over the waves, entering the harbor. At the steering wheel stands Captain Hook, looking out over the water if it was safe to get to the docks. Once he was certain it was, he ordered for one of his sailors to get them by the docks while he would get their 'passenger' from below deck. He calls out the last orders and disappears.
He stomps down the stairs to below the deck and scans the space for his passenger. "Winter, are you here? We are at the docks soon.. Aren't you excited to see your mother again?" A young girl appears from the shadows and she didn't exactly look well.

She was thin, like unhealthy thin, and her face was ghostly pale with dark bags under her sad silver eyes. Her clothes, typical for Neverland and probably gifted to her by a certain someone, hang from her body. Hook felt for the girl as he knows how horrible that island can be, especially to an innocent soul like hers.
But if she was lost before she went there, she is certainly broken now. Hook walks up to her and extends his hand. "Come on, your mother will be there waiting for you on the docks. She will be so happy to see you." He puts his arm around her shoulders to hug her sideways. She was hesitant to his touch as she tries to step out of it, but realises it has no higher purpose and gives up.
He helps her up the deck and stands at her side as they come closer to the docks. Hook lays a hand on her shoulder and searches the area for the woman, which he sees waiting for them. He smirks when he thinks of getting his second reward for taking this girl on his ship, which seemed even more dangerous when he found out what she meant to the demon of Neverland through a fairy.
The ship hits the side of the docks and while some sailors pull it closer with rope. The woman waves at them from the docks, her smile watery as she sees Winter next to Hook on the deck. Oh God, she was so happy to see her little girl. Hook orders for the board to be layed so they could step off the ship. Winter quickly jumps off the ship and goes to hug her mother.
"I missed you so much," she whispers to the woman. "I missed you incredibly, dear," the mother says as she caresses the girl's knotted hair. Then she goes to inspect her face by holding her face. "Has the captain treated you well?" Winter gives a short nod and Hook huffs. She better said yes, or he will show his gratitude in a punch to her face.
The woman walks up to her and bows her head. "I thank you for bringing her back, captain." He begins to grin and she knows just as wel as he does what he was thinking. "Winter, could you look the other way please?" The girl shrugs and turns around. Belle takes a deep breath. She didn't really want to kiss the captain, but a deal is a deal.
So she leans in and pecks the captain on his lips. She leans back, but he puts his hand on the back of her head to pull her in. "Well thank you, m'lady. Enjoy your life, lass," he calls after the girl. Winter turns around and frowns at the two adults who stand so close together, but waves to him. "Thank you, Captain Hook."
Belle walks up to her and wraps her arm around the girl, using the cloak she wears for both of them. Winter looks up at her friend and mother figure. "Why couldn't I see you two kiss? I'm sixteen, not six," she says. Belle looks at her in surprise.

"Winter.. have you kissed before," she asks. The teen at her side turns ghostly pale instead of the blushing red she would have suspected. "I don't like talking about it. Don't change the subject." Belle sees her being uncomfortable and sighs. "Don't tell Rumple what happened. I don't think he will appreciate it," she says.
They walk out of the harbor, where they hear a poof behind them. Both of them turn around and see Rumplestiltskin there. He looks at Winter and tenderness fills his eyes. "Welcome back, Winter," he says softly, almost as if he can not believe she's truly there. Winter smiles and walks over to him. Her arms wrap around his middle as she hugs him. "I missed you, Rumple."
He closes his arms around her, like a shield never to let her slip away again. Belle joins in their group hug and whispers. "Our little Snowflake, back with the rest of the flakes."
Emma and Mr Gold talk a little further and the latters asks if she would convince his son to come to Storybrooke. As Emma asks why she would do that, seeing as her indebted favor for him was gone, he told her to do it for his son and his adopted half-sister. Exactly that moment Neal and Henry got back from getting a pizza and talked about the museum. On Henry's request, they go back to the apartment to get his camera.
On the way there Henry and Mr Gold had a conversation and Emma and Neal talked about the possibility of him coming to Storybrooke. Back at the apartment building Henry runs up the stairs and his father follows him while Rumplestiltskin and Emma wait before the gate. When Mr Gold asks about what Neal said she responds that he said it was 'complicated'.
She couldn't say anything else really as the door opens behind them and someone storms in. He shoves Emma aside and lunges for Mr Gold, who was trapped against the gate. It was Hook and he buries his 'adjustment' inside the chest of the Dark One.
Just as he was about to give the final blow, of course after talking about why he did it and unending doom and all those villain things (maybe villains should stop talking and start hurting sooner), Emma recovers from her confusion and hits Hook in the neck with a trash can, knocking him out. Mr Gold gasps for air as Emma kneels by his side. Of course, when the fun / scary part is over, the back up comes.
Neal runs down the stairs and asks them what was going on. Emma was surprised to find that Neal knows Hook, but when she asks about it he doesn't respond. "Papa?" He swings one arm of his father over his shoulder and brings him up his apartment while Emma drags the pirate in a storage room, searches his pockets for anything useful and locks him up so she could join the others.
Mr Gold reacts kinds agressively when Henry comes closer, as he was certain he was the reason this all happened. After all, prophecies don't lie. The boy will be his undoing. Emma sends him away to charge the phone while Neal gives his father a cold, wet cloth. The wound looks incredibly filthy with pus streaming out of it. Rumplestiltskin explains it was poison from Hook himself and that there is no antidote. They need to go back to Storybrooke.
Neal says he's going to get a car, but Rumplestiltskin knows that a car won't bring him there fast enough. The only thing that can is the Jolly Roger, Hook's ship and proclaimed to be 'the fastest vessel in all the realms'. Again, Emma is surprised that Neal says he's able to sail the pirate ship to Storybrooke.
He calls for a car to bring them there and leaves the room when Henry enters with Emma's phone is his hand. He shows her a message from her parents. It was about Cora and Regina, trying to find the Dark One's magical dagger. Mr Gold was, of course, stubborn and didn't want to tell where it is. The blonde sits down by his side, looks him in the eye and starts telling him about trust and trust in your family in particular. She finally got him so far to tell where it was: Storybrooke's clocktower.
David and Snow find the dagger behind the clock hand, but were stopped by Regina and Cora, threatening to take out the heart of a good friend of Snow. It was then revealed that Cors was behind all of Snow's miserable past. She poisoned her mother, she was the blue fairy who told her about the 'life-and-death' candle, she made sure her mother died and she made her own daughter queen by staging her riding accident.
Cora did all that, just to get revenge and make her daughter be the queen. And now she kills an innocent to make Snow suffer once again.
Back in New York, Emma and Neal leave Henry to watch out over Gold as they go to get the car that will bring them to the ship. On the way, she asks him what he will do when his father is healed, to which he has no clear response. He points to the car and when Emma asks if they were to steal it, he says it belongs to a friend.
She comments on how generous that friend is. Neal looks slightly uncomfortable and tells her that they should finish their conversation from earlier, when they were going back to the apartment. That moment a woman walks up to them and starts talking to Neal. After a minute or so, she introduces herself as Tamara and Neal tells her that she is his fianceé.
Welp, that's great.

Rise of an Undead in a Fantasy World
Have you ever wondered what would happen if an undead being that doesn't know what it is like to be alive got free will? What would that undead creature do? How would they think? How would they view the world around them? Would they see life as futile and conquer the world, making it a lifeless danger zone to all living beings? Well, none of that matters, because that's not happening. Our main character is your average gamer from the modern world, yada yada yada... gets transported to a fantasy world through obscure means, blah blah blah... you know how this works. What separates him from the masses, however, are his views on ethics, and world politics. ... Oh, and the fact that he doesn't need to breathe. Message From Author! Accept?: Yes No This is only my second novel, so keep that in mind. I will try to keep the quality of the story to an acceptable level. This means something that I, myself would read. The quantity, however, may put some people off. Adding onto the whole "villainous lead" thing, I will make sure to have the character develop into that perfect little villain over time, instead of starting him out as a bloodthirsty murder-hobo. Of course, there will still be a lot of murdering and he may be a hobo for some of it, but it will mostly not be out of malice in the very early chapters. Last but not least, I have decided there will not be a defined release schedule for this, as I have lost interest in forcing myself to upload x amount of times a week. I will upload whenever I get a good idea, and take my time. That is, if I even feel like writing in the first place. Instead of taking breaks from this novel to do my own thing, I will take breaks from my daily life to post on here. Also, I'm lazy. Thanks for reading, and if you're alright with everything above, feel free to give it a read, and without further ado, have a good one! - Your Author P.S.: I will have little to no romance in the story, as I can't bring myself to writing it, so you don't have to worry about harems.

A Simple Bar In The Multiverse
I'm Lucas, 30 years old and single. I went to drink with some friends that day and when I was walking home, I found some weird glowing door on a wall on which I've never seen anything before. I'm a bit ashamed to say that I instantly tried to open it. Behind it was that weird silver light which I also touched with my bare hand. Don't judge me! I was very drunk. It has nothing to do with my intelligence... Anyway, I seemed to have been transported in a magical room and an invisible female entity has just just given me an offer: Turn this bar into the best bar in the universe where you'll work forever. In exchange I would get great powers with great responsab... Wait! That's spiderman. Anyway, great powers and unlimited lifespan. I think I'll say yes... Follow the story of Lucas, the manager of the Simple Bar, while he turns this seemingly innocuous bar into one that becomes known in the entire Multiverse. Or at least in a big part of it. I mean, the Multiverse is virtually infinite, so... A part of the story will take place in the Divine Realm of the Wanderer's Realms from my first novel 'The Life of a Goddess and a Fox in the Cultivation World '. I will post 1 chapter every week at 7 p.m. EST on Saturday.
