Robin's Pov
We all stared at Arika, our mouths all open. She solve the riddle in like 3 to 5 seconds. Even i couldn't solve it. She's a genius no she's more than a genius. She's really intelligent. "Um can someone show me how to use the sink?" Arika said a little embarrassed.
Ok she's intelligent but she can't do normal things. "I'll teach you." I said raising my hand.
I got up and went to the kitchen. I look back to see if she was following me and she is. When i got to the kitchen i pointed to each cabinet. "Cups, bowls, plates, and containers." I look at her and she nodded.
I reach open a cabinet and took a red plastic cup. I went to the sink and waited for her to stand next to me. "You just twist this knob. This red is hot the blue is cold water got it." She nodded and smile.
"Thank you. You must think i'm really dumb." I shook my head.
"You're very smart it's just that you don't know how to do normal stuff because of your father. You'll learn quickly." I smile at her.
"Thank you again Robin." She took the full cup of water and kiss my cheek.
She left me standing there like a idiot. I am blushing and i couldn't stop it. Then Black Canary came in. "Woah what happen to you." She said.
"Nothing" I quickly said.
Arika's Pov
I sat on my bed afraid that i might fall asleep. I sat there looking at nothing. For some reason i feel like something bad is going to happen. I look down on my lap and sigh. Then 3 soft knocks was heard at my door. "Come in." I said.

In came Miss Martian aka Megan. "Hi." She wave at me and close the door her inside of my room.
"Hi." I said
"I know that we haven't met.....um well....I mean to say is......that i want to get to know you!" She stuttered.
"Do you usually stutter a lot or is it because your nervous meeting me?" I said as i tilted my head.
"I don't really stutter i'm just nervous." Her cheeks are blushing and all i could do was smile.
"So have you ever been to school?" Megan ask. I motion her to sit next to me at my bed.
She nodded and went to sit next to me. "No. I was always in the cage with chains on my wrist and ankles. My father left me science, history, math, language, and all other types of book. He force me to read them so know i have all this knowledge yet i can't do the simplest things you or any human can do." I said
"Really, can you speak other languages?"
I nodded " I can speak Spanish, French, Italian, Greece, Japanese, Korean, Chinese, Vietnamese, German, Russian, Mandarin, Hindi, Arabic, Portuguese, Bengali, Punjabi, Javanese, Turkish, would you like me to continue?" I said
"No. That's amazing you learned all those languages."
I nodded
"You probably never tasted ice cream." She said
"I read of this substance once in a book. It read that it's cold but delicious and there are different types of flavors." She nodded
"Wanna go out for ice cream?"
"Are you sure i can go out.....there?"
"Don't worry i'll protect you."
"Ok."
An hour later i was walking down the sidewalk with megan. She has changed her skin color to a pale color. She blended in just like me. While walking a big group of girls came walking towards us. I look at Megan and she had a annoyed face. "Hey Megan, who's this twirp?"

"If your referring me as a small person then you should probably use correct grammar. Scientist had proven that people who don't use correct grammar are a bit confuse or just plain dumb." I said looking at the woman who spoke to Megan.
"Did you just call me dumb?" She had a serious face.
"Do you want me to explain it simpler." I said with a smirk. I look at Megan and she is trying to hide that smile of hers.
I look at the woman and saw rage. "Whatever. Come on girls lets go." They walk off. I smiled at Megan and she smiled back.
We finally arrived at the ice cream shop. I saw different types of this ice cream, Megan talks about. Megan order two hot fudge sundae. We got our sundaes and went outside to sit on the tables. Each table seems to have an umbrella in them. We sat on the last to the left. We sat down and Megan started to eat her ice cream. I sat there staring at it for a while. Megan stop and look at me. "It's ok. try it." she said.
I grab the spoon and hesitated putting some in my mouth. I first felt the sweetness then the cold. It's delicious, it's amazing, it's the sweetest thing i ever tasted in my whole entire life. I smile a huge grin and started to eat some more "Told ya." said Megan going back to her ice cream.
When we finished our ice creams we went back to the HQ. "Where were you? I was worried sick about you? I thought you were kidnapped by him? Don't leave unless you tell me where you're going?" Robin started to ask all this questions and i kinda felt bad.
I mean i made him feel worry. I look down to the ground in shame. I knew i shouldn't have left. "Hey Robin back off. She was with me so don't worry and don't make her feel guilty." Megan stated.
Robin stop his yammering and saw i was looking down to the ground. "I'm sorry." He said. I quickly look up and shook my head.
"I should be the one to apologizes, i mean i made you worry about me and i knew about my situation and and and I'm really sorry." Tears began to fall off my cheeks
Robin quickly came and hug me. Moving his hand in circle on my back comforting me. "sshh. Don't worry about it." I hug him back and we both forgotten the fact that Megan was still there.
When i finally calm down i apologize once more to Robin and Megan.
"Good your here, Arika" We all look at the direction of the voice.
Batman stood in front of us. "You're going to school with everyone else. I already registered you."
"School?"

Luck And Chronomancy
Time Magic is the best magic as everyone knows, although there are lots of unique Talents in the world. Most people only remember Haste because it is hard to get to higher Phases of Chronomancy. That is still enough to make the Talent iconic. A lucky enough Aleatory Talent can position you for greatness or leave you languishing in obscurity. The only true equality in the world is when that glowing message pops up at 8 years old. Even if it doesn't activate until you are an adult at 16 you still know. Sure you can find a new dungeon spawn and get another chance at a rare Talent, even this one, but you have to already be ready to delve into the *Far Wilds*, which is far easier with wealth or family power. This is the story of where my good fortune took me and the difference it made, even among a party of 7 others including an Arcanist. It is a journey of magic and monsters but also math, which some think is actually worse. Luckily I was born with Intelligence and Focus as my personal traits, and my parents were scholars. Of course Chronomancy can also be a frontline combat talent. Versitility well beyond other Elder Talents like Gravity, Abstraction, or Arcana. Might could have worked for me, too. I also met a runaway princess. All the best adventures have a princess. She hated being a noble and we didn't get married but it still counts. Besides she really filled out our front line. All that Leadership training came in handy. I still don't know where she's from. Who cares? How well Haste goes with giant hammers is what's important. I never learned much about anyone in the party, except the one I grew up with. I'm not a people person. I just wanted to optimize dungeon clearing time. *******Story Details******* No romance, politics, or traumatizing content, slice of life, or even dialogue. 1st person narration, like a guide/adventure log. 2000-7000 words a day, maybe 40-60% rpgish combat log with some reasoning on combat decisions, with the rest character Talent discussion and progression stuff. 8 person party with a decent variety in roles. Party members usually have 2 primary functions. Told from the support/control Chronomancer's perspective. Each party member will have 6 Basic/Background Traits, then 3 actual Talents with abilities. Capstone from their Educational Institution, Arbritrary as a gift from the temples, and Aleatory which is decided at birth, revealed at 8, and activated after adulthood at 16. Aleatory Traits ignore requirements and are random why is why they are so important. They'll gain new Talents from finding Dungeons to consume in the *Wilds*. Mature dungeons in cities can provide *Challenges* to raise the Phase of a Talent, up to 3 times from 1 to 4. Each character will get to roughly 8 non-Trait Talents. Attributes come exclusive from Talents, are required by Talents, and provide various effects as well. I designed about 220 Talents with abilities, 4 in each of 4 phases. "Traits" are just Attribute stuff. I'm not sure how many will be detailed in the story, more than 100 for sure. I used Talents because I want to be free of the legacy of tabletop. Half those rules are just because of the limitations inherent in a pre-computer ttrpg. This story mostly uses combat Talents, although like 1/3 of the 220 are for crafting and other society and economy stuff. If you really wanted to be a Thief you might take Intuition, Awarness, and Might for Basic Traits and Deftness, Manipulation, and Trickery for Family/Education. Then you'd pick Acrobatics, and Climbing for Educational Capstone and Arbitrary traits. You Aleatory Trait might be Shadow(Light/Dark) Magic, Umbramancy. A Bard might swap Dexterity for Charisma, Music for Acrobatics, and have gotten Illusion(Shadow/Sound(Air/Force)) for their Aleatory Trait.
