- Paige's POV -

So, we just came upstairs. They sit on their beds and I sit in one of the desk chairs.

"So, you guys don't really know much about me, and I don't really know much about you. You two can start if you'd like? You can say whatever." I say with a smile.

"Oakley, you go." Maya says.

"Well, uhm... I play soccer and softball, which I love them both. I'm also a big reader and that's just about it for me." Oakley says. "Nice." I say with a smile, and we look to Maya.

"I like filming, making videos. It's kind of just like... What I do. I don't really do much anymore after cancer but that's what I've taken on as a passion." She says. "That's really cool. I know how to edit and stuff so if you want, I can show you some tips and tricks." I say. "Cool." She says with a smile. "And same for you with soccer, Oakley." I say. "Thanks." She says and I smile at her.

"Now what about you?" The twins ask at the same time. "Well I'm sure you both know this by now, but I love soccer, I'm a professional player. I also mess around with some music somewhat."

"That's cool." The twins say and I nod.

We then talk about when our birthdays are, some other things we like to do, and just random other things, until we get on the subject of mental health, because they want to tell me about them, which they talked to Moms about it.

"I don't really have any mental illnesses... But Oakley really struggles sometimes." Maya says for her twin. "It's true." Oakley says kind of embarrassedly, finding her hands interesting.

"Hey, don't be embarrassed about it." I say softly. "How come?" She asks. "Because it's a humane thing. You're human." Maya says. "She's right, Oakley. I suffer from it, too. I have since I was younger than you." I say. "Including panic attacks?" She asks. "Oh yeah." I say and nod. "Do you have any phobias?" I ask her, and she nods.

"Androphobia which is fear of men, Nosocomephobia, fear of hospitals, and Xenophobia, fear of strangers." She says. "I have androphobia besides a few guys I know, and I'm not sure how to help with the hospital one because they are kind of scary. And xenophobia, that's sometimes really hard to overcome." I say, my statement about nosocomephobia making the girls laugh.

"But with the anxiety, you can always come and talk to me if you don't wanna goto Ash and Ali. And I'm serious. I'm here for you two if you need anything." I say. "Thank you." They both say. "No problem." I say.

"Do you... Have anything besides anxiety?" Maya asks me cautiously, I guess not wanting to overstep.

"I have retrocognition, meaning I see visions that come from my past whenever I'm in a certain situation or I touch something that has a certain connection and I have memories with it." I say. "That's really cool." Maya says and Oakley agrees with her.

The twins are also identical and I lowkey just forgot which one was which.

"Okay, just for reference, how do we know which one of you is which?" I ask.

"Maya has a birthmark on her forearm." Oakley says. "Well... It's not really noticable anymore because of cancer treatments." She says and holds up her arm to where the inside of her arm faces us.

Her arms has some scars from lie IVs and stuff.

"Oakley has a birthmark on the back of her neck." Maya says. "Okay, and hers would probably be easier to spot as well seeing as yours is on the inside of your arm." I say and the twins nod.

My phone then rings, and I pull it out of my pocket to answer it.

"It's Coach Ellis, excuse me." I tell the girls and answer the phone as I leave the room.

"Hello." I answer. "Good afternoon, Miss Harris." "You too, Coach." I say. "You're probably wondering why I'm calling. I'm sorry to say that you will not be included on the roster for the camp coming up this month." She says and my heart just crushes. "I know that you're an extraordinary player but we have the goalkeepers we need." She says.

"Okay. Thanks for letting me know." I say, masking my sadness. "No problem, kid." She says.

We say our goodbyes and the call ends.

I then walk back to the twins' room, and see Moms in here too.

"Hey, how'd the call from Coach go?" Mama asks. "I am not on the roster." I say and sit back down where I was with a sigh.

"That's alright. You'll get called up again soon, I'm sure." Maya says. "Thanks." I say with a small smile.

It's literally about to be a full year since I have played even a minute in a game.

Ugh.
