- Paige's POV - 7:34 PM the next day -
It's after training and dinner. We're all heading to team bonding in Pinoe and Carli's room. It's been a long day. Training was filled with fitness testing so we're all sore and tired as hell, but now we get time to hang out so it's fine. We all get here at the same time and the door is open, so someone knocks before we all file into the room and find a seat. I sit on the floor in between Mal's legs while Moms sit together next to us. Once everyone was in the room and we all had a spot, Carli began speaking.
"Alright ladies, for team bonding tonight we can do whatever y'all decide on. "TRUTH OR DARE!" Mom, Pinoe, Kelley, Rose, Sam, Dasani, and Lindsey all yell. "Okay, are the rest of you okay with that?" Carli asks. "Yeah we need some comedy." I say, and everyone echoes with yeah. "Alright, who first then?" Pinoe asks. Sam says she'll go and I zone out unless I'm literally asked.
"Pai, truth or dare?" "Truth." I answer Dasani. "Have you ever failed a class in school?" "Nope. Straight A student." I say. "Daaamn." Alot of them say. "Uh is it fine if someone else goes after each time I answer?" I ask. "Yeah." Pinoe says so I nod then zone back out and play with Mal's that are wrapped around me. Damn, Mom has to sprint all the way up to the roof by stairs and back. We pause the game and time how long it takes her. That's when I see something sticking out from under one of either Carlie or Pinoe's bag. It looks like... My songbook. What the hell? I know it went missing but for real, why is it in here? I can tell it's mine because it has my name written across the bottoms of the pages from the spine. This upsets me so I wait until my next turn. I know it's not Carli who would've taken it so that's great.

It took Mom five minutes to sprint up and back. She comes back in and sits down with Mama.
"Alright where were we?" Pinoe asks. "It was Mom's turn." I say. Mom asks Pinoe so this is perfect. Pinoe does her dare which is to yell I'm gay off the balcony of their room as loud as she can into the city, which we all died at. Then she came back in and sat down, looking around the room. "Paige, truth or dare?" "Truth." I say. "Do you ever write songs, or stories or anything?" "I didn't wanna say this but yes I do, which brings me to this. Pinoe, truth or dare?" I kind of sternly ask her truth or dare. "Dare." She says confusedly. I get up and walk over to pick up my songbook. "I dare you to explain why my songbook is under your bag." I say and everyone looks shocked. "That's not my bag." She says. "Megan stop lying. That is yours." Carli says. Megan visibly and audibly gulps. "I- I found it in the m- meal r- room and thought I'd re- return it." She stutters. This is when Mom stood up and so did Mal and Mama. "I misplaced this the day we got here, Pinoe. And that was two days ago." I ask. "I was gonna take it to you tomorrow." She says and I can tell she's lying. "You're not a very good liar." Mom says. "I'm not lying." Rapinoe says. "Wait." I say and flip through it looking for a specific piece of paper and a picture I keep in here. I get a sudden wave of anger and kind of freak out at the same time. "Where is the folded note and picture that was in here?" I angrily ask and hold my book up and look at her. "R- right here." She says and pulls the paper out of her back pocket but the folded paper is all messed up and looks like something was spilled on it. I open it up and the ink is smeared and shit. I feel the tears welling up. "W- Where's the picture?" I ask. "It's.... It's gone. It blew away. I'm sorry." "You should be but sorry won't fix this. Or get me that picture back." I say and take a deep breath to try to stay calm as I continue. "This and that picture was the only thing I had left of my parents besides very few memories and this songbook. Thanks for ruining my memories, Rapinoe. Also, what all did you read?" I ask getting angrier as I speak. "A- all of it." She says with wide eyes and a few tears in them. "I know this is fucking cruel, but I hate you now. First it was the water prank with Kelley, causing me to have to tell all of you about something I didn't want to, and now this. You went through my privacy and destroyed valuable things. So therefore, I fucking hate you Megan Rapinoe. Sorry for ruining team bonding guys. My dynamics on the field won't be messed up." I say and leave the uncomfortably silent room.

People vanished from their Dive system, leaving nothing behind of the person they were, and the Characters they were in game become locked out, and no longer responsive to the System. In addition to this, they are suddenly showing up on ALL servers of a game at the same time, almost as if they were now an NPC. The governments put a stop to all distribution of FSDS Technology, and keep an eye on these 'Digitized Players'. Ten years pass and one of the first ever Digitized Players, a Level 500 Catgirl by the name of Atreya the Dawnbirth, created a stable portal between their MMO and Earth. With the return of one of the players, the governments remove the bans on FSDS Technology, which has still been researched heavily while under the ban. Wars break out over control of Virtual Worlds, but these wars are all fought ON the Virtual World, so the Earth isn't polluted further. Immortality is now available to all who seek it, if you can find a World to call your own. Of course, nobody paid attention to one of the few warnings Atreya brought back with her... The NPCs sometimes became sentient and disobeyed coding laws.
